Cool Toned Mosaic

Hi guys!

I haven't done too many mosaic designs, I don't know, the design itself just doesn't click with me for some reason. But I really wanted to give it another try and while this isn't my favorite design ever I'm still really proud of it!

I started with a base of NYC Sidewalkers on my ring, China Glaze Too Yacht To Handle on my pinky and a blank slate on my middle and ring. I added two dots of China Glaze Too Yacht To Handle on my index and one dot of NYC Sidewalkers on my pinky. I used some black acrylic paint to paint on the base for my mosaic design on my middle and ring nails. Then I used China Glaze Too Yacht To Handle, NYC Sidewalkers, and Wet n Wild Black Creme. I sealed everything in with some Seche Vite to finish off the design.

I'm really loving this black, gray, and mint color combination, so cool.... literally ;) I'm really happy with how this design came out, I think I'll definitely give mosaic nails a go again.

What do you guys think?

Neon Moroccan

T.T

Why does this keep happening to me?! I keep disappearing! I'm so sorry guys, if you follow me on Instagram (@pinkandpolishednails) I posted a few days earlier about why I haven't posted in a while. Basically my best friend moved to florida, my mom got two puppies, I got a wicked sinus infection, broke almost all of my nails, and to top it off my mom got into a nasty car accident. Everyone's okay, just hurt our pride ;) LOL

But things are calming down finally so I can get back to doing what I love... nails! And I really love this design!

I started off with a base of China Glaze Red-y To Rave. When it was dry I used the Moroccan Nail Stencils from Snailvinyls and Color Club Beyond to create the full design on my ring and middle and I just used a tiny portion to create my index and pinky. I added three dots of China Glaze Mingle With Kringle on my index and pinky and topped everything off with a layer of Seche Vite to finish the design.

I really really enjoyed this design! I love the contrast between the bright neon red and the deep black holo. Super pretty and perfect for summertime!

What do you guys think?

I promise I will be getting back into my normal routine as quick as I can! Thanks for sticking around <3

Simple Cool Dotticure

Ever create a refreshing mani? One that reminds you of splashing in the water on a hot summers day? Yeah.... this is it for me! I love this blue teal purple and black color combination it's so delicious and perfect for the sweet summertime.

I started off with a base of China Glaze Too Yacht To Handle and then created the dots using Wet n Wild Black Creme, China Glaze DJ Blew My Mind, and China Glaze PLUR-ple. I sealed everything in with some Seche Vite and that was it!

You really can never go wrong with a dotticure, there's so many different looks you can create with just one simple tool. It's also a great way to get some creative juice flowing if you've run into a nail art block because it's so easy and mindless and you can create stunning designs!

This look is no exception either, this color combination just screams summertime!

Stamped Lace Nails

Hi guys!

I hope you're not tired of stamped nails because I just got this plate in from The Born Pretty Store and I am dying! It's a lace plate and every. single. design. is PERFECTION! I've always struggled trying to find the right lace pattern and this plate has 14 full nail designs along with 7 partial designs. Like I said, perfection.

I've used this plate:

To create this design and the image came out so crystal clear. I was very impressed and I'm so excited to try out all of the other designs on this plate.

For this design I started off with a base of Color Club Cosmic Fate. When it was dry I stamped over it using BPS Black Stamping Polish and the design circled above. I sealed everything in with a layer of Seche Vite and that's it!

I love how incredibly easy it is to create intricate, elegant, and beautiful designs with this plate. I really am quite impressed.

You can buy this stamping plate HERE and countless other nail art tools at www.bornprettystore.com

Born Pretty Store Water Decals Review

HELLO PEOPLE!

Ugh! So let me just start off by saying I got a new laptop! Woohoo! Yeah that joy was short lived when I realized *ALL* of my photos and videos got deleted wtffffff T.T That, my friends, is why I haven't posted in a little bit. Not only did all of my pics get deleted but it took me a day and a half, yes a DAY AND A HALF, to redownload photoshop on my new laptop. Seriously I've had the worst time! But things are finally straighten out so I should be back to posting normally, thank goodness. Thank you guys for being so patient with me!

SO let's get on to it shall we. I've got a super fun review of some Born Pretty Store water decals for you today and I'm so in love with this look. These are the the 11Ps Nail Art water Decals and they are actually neon! I've used them over black here because I'm definitely the most intelligent person ever LOL But I'll be using them over a light color soon!!

These were so easy to use all I did was cut out the design I wanted, peeled off the protective covering and dip it in water for about 10 seconds. the decals slid right off the paper backing and I could position them super easy on my nails. I really don't have anything bad to say about. The Born Pretty Store carries so many different kind of water decals and they are so inexpensive. If you're just testing the waters with water decals I highly recommend these!

For the design I created below I started off with a base of Wet n Wild Black Creme. When it was dry I grabbed the water decals from BPS and applied them on half of each nail. I then added a small thin line of Essie Penny Talk on each nail and sealed them all in with a layer of Seche Vite.

I am SO obsessed with these! They're super cute and the honestly took me about a half hour to create. Simple!

These water decals from The Born Pretty Store retail for $4.42 USD and can be purchased HERE. You can buy these along with countless other nail art tools at www.bornprettystore.com

Make sure you stay up to date with all new releases, tips and tricks by following them:

What do you think guys? Have you tried any water decals from The Born Pretty Store? What did you think? Let me know in the comments!

Reciprocal Star Gradient Nails

Hi guys!

I'm super excited about these nails because ever since I started seeing these swirl star vinyls I knew I HAD to try them! Well good news and bad news, bad news first: they are a HUGE pain in the butt to apply!! LOL But the good news is that they are absolutely 100% worth it!

I started off with a base of Wet n Wild Black Creme. Then I created the vertical gradient using Wet n Wild Black Creme and LynBDesigns Nightmare Revisited. When that dried I applied my star vinyls (which I purchased from Snail Vinyls) and created the same gradient but with reverse colors. I peeled off the vinyls and added a layer of Sech Vite to seal everything in.

I'm so obsessed with reciprocal gradient designs lately. The final effect is just so amazing to me LOL! But really, these nails totally made me feel like a rockSTAR B)

Monotone Stamping

Hi guys!

It’s Tuesday! That means we’ve made if out of Monday alive! Let me tell you things were getting hairy there for a little ;) But it’s over and there are only good things to come!

I know I’m supposed to have a Twinsie Tuesday post up today, I also know that I haven’t had one in a few weeks and I’m so sorry! My job is really busy right now so it’s hard to find time to paint my nails and somehow Tuesdays always sneak up on me. I was going to do some last night but we lost power when I got home from the gym so I couldn’t see what the prompt was! Booo!!

But enough complaining, I’ve got some really fun monotone stamped nails that I can’t wait for you to see!

I started off with a base of Color Club Beyond. When it was dry I stamped over each nail using Bundle Monster plate BM-320 and the Black stamping polish from The Born Pretty Store (review coming soon). I sealed everything in with some Seche Vite and that was it.

Monotone stamping is one of my favorite nail art techniques, it’s so incredibly simple but I absolutely adore the final product. Especially with it’s holo and creme together, it makes the contrast so much better.

What do you guys think? What’s you favorite nail art technique?

Thanks loves :)

Mini Holo Blobbicure

Oops, I blobbicured again ;)

I had so much fun creating my other blobbicure that I just had to try it out again in mini and holo form. I DIE. I think I love this even more then my original blobbicure, keep reading and you'll see why.

I started out with a base of Color Club Beyond. Then I used Color Club Eternal Beauty and Over the Moon and a dotting tool to create the blobbicure. I sealed it all in with some Seche Vite and that was it!

I absolutely love how Eternal Beauty and Over the Moon pop agains Beyond. I really wish I had the chance to take a sunlight photo because DAMN it was amazing! Maybe I'll just have to recreate this look when it's sunny and I have time to take photos ;) seriously it's THAT amazing!

What do you guys think? What color combination would you guys like to see for my next blobbicure??

The Blobbicure

Hi guys!

Blobbicures have been getting crazy popular lately so I thought it was about time for me to try my hand at it ;) If you don't know what a blobbicure is, it's basically a "blob"-esque design that is created when you use a thick layer of base polish and start adding blobs of a second polish on top while your base is still wet. The blobs spread out on your nails and give you some crazy cool designs. You can see what I mean below ;)

I started off with a base of Wet n Wild Black Creme. Then I blobbed on some China Glaze Unpredictable while my base was still wet. I sealed everything in with some Seche Vite and that was it! So simple right?

I really love how easy blobbicures are to create and the final product is just too freaking cool. I have SO many different color combinations in my head I can't way to revisit this technique so be on the look out ;)

Double Stamped Paisley Nails

Hi guys!

The world of double stamping is relatively new to me but I'm already in love with it! Double stamping gives a manicure so much depth and really makes it stand out, not to mention it's so much easier then I thought it would be ;) Check out this fun double stamped paisley design I created!

I started with a base of Squishy Face Polish Milky Ways. When my base was dry I stamped over each nail using PMTG White Undies and Bundle Monster plate BM-315. Then I immediately stamped over each nail again using the same plate and WetnWild Black Creme being careful to line up the designs as close a I could. Finally I sealed everything in with a layer of Seche Vite and that was it!

I am so in love with these nails! I'm not sure if I've ever done a paisley print on this blog before but there will definitely be more ;)

What do you guys think?

Keep an eye out on my Instagram and YouTube Channel for tutorials on this look later today!

Happy Easter!

Happy Easter guys!

I hope you're all having a wonderful day with friends and family!

I wanted to do something fun for my Easter nails this year so I decided to go with Easter egg tribal nails! I so love how these came out let me know what you guys think!

I started off with a base of Sinful Colors Snow Me White. When it dried I created all of the designs with various colors of acrylic paints. I sealed it all in with a layer of Seche Vite and added a final layer of NYC Matte Me Crazy for a flat finish.

This color combination is so fun and springy I really enjoyed wearing these on my nails! What do you guys think?

What are you doing for Easter this year?

Black and Neon Abstract Square Nails

More abstract nails!!!

I also got the inspiration for the square design off of a pattern on Pinterest. Pinterest is such an awesome place to go if you're lacking nail inspiration, there are so many different and fun patterns on there it will destroy that road block and get you excited to do some nail art within 5 minutes I swear!

I've been wanting to do this design for a while and I' so happy with the way that it came out! Tell me what you guys think!

I started off with a base of Wet n Wild Black Creme on my index and middle nails and China Glaze Pool Party (new version) on my ring and pinky nails. I created the square design with white acrylic paint and a thin, long bristled nail art brush. While those were drying I applied two layers of TLLB Glow-Stly on my ring and pinky nails and then two dots near my cuticle with Wet n Wild Black Creme. Finally I sealed all of my nails in with some Sech Vite and to add a little bit extra something I added a layer of NYC Matte Me Crazy on just my index and middle nails. And that was it!

I love the contrast between the flat and dark square nails against the bright, holographic, and shiny neon nails. I feel like it gives so much visual interest and I honestly didn't want to take this design off like.... ever. LOL

What do you guys think?

Minty Gold Leopard Nails

Mmmm there's nothing like a good mint polish to really get you excited about doing some nail art. LOL but really mint is such a flattering polish color and I've just been obsessed with it lately so of course I had to incorporate it in some animal print nails!

I started with a base of China Glaze Too Yacht To Handle on my index and pinky nails. On my middle and ring I used Sally Hansen Real Nail Polish Strips in the gold french tip design and placed them high to create a half moon. Then I sealed them in with the clear strips that came with the package to make sure they adhere to my nails nicely. Next I created the leopard print using TLLB Spiked Hot Chocolate and Wet n Wild Black Creme. I added a dotted outline to the half moons using China Glaze Too Yacht To Handle and added a dot of China Glaze Mingle With Kringle on my index and pinky nails. Finally I sealed everything in with a layer of Seche Vite and that was it.

I really feel like the mint compliments this gold so well. It adds the perfect amount of brightness and gives it such a sweet finish.

What do you guys think?

Multi-Colored Neon Leopard Nails

Oh My Goodness....

I am so in love with these absolutely wild nails! They remind me of summer time and warm weather and I'm just dying to feel that sunshine on my skin! I guess I'll just have to deal with some sunshine on my nails with this super bright neon leopard design. ;)

I started off with a base of Sinful Colors Snow Me White. When it dried I used China Glaze Pool Party, China Glaze Orange Knockout, China Glaze I'm With The Lifeguard, Orly Glowstick, and Nina Ultra Pro Blue Blaze to create the design. I used small dashes and filled up each nail randomly. Then I applied a layer of China Glaze Fairy Dust and stamped over my nails using Bundle Monster Plate BM-221 and WetnWild Black Creme. Finally I sealed it all in with a layer of Seche Vite.

These nails really were so fun to wear! I actually wore them for a record three days! Can you even believe it?! LOL I want to do some more neon nails, do you guys have any suggestions? Let me know in the comments!

Keep an eye out on my Instagram and YouTube Channel for tutorials on this look a little later today!

Pastel Spot Gradient with Stamping

It's gradient time!

It's been so incredibly long since my last gradient manicure which makes me so sad because I love gradients! Truth is I ran out of my cosmetic sponges and have been way to lazy to buy more... oops T.T But I've finally got some so let's kick off what I'm sure will be a plethora of gradient designs with this fun, springy, pastel spot design with some contrasting stamping on top.

I started off with a base of Sinful Colors Snow Me White. I then applied some liquid latex around my nails (watch out for this fun neon pink liquid latex to be available in my shop SOON!) I then took a cosmetic sponge and added splotches of Essie Nice is Nice, Lime Crime Pastelchio, Lime Crime Once In A Blue Mousse, Lime Crime Parfait Day, and Lime Crime Peaches <3 Cream. Once everything was dry I stamped over each nail with WetnWild Black Creme and Bundle Monster plate BM-721. I peeled off the liquid latex, cleaned up around my nails and applied a coat of Sech Vite to finish off this design.

I love the way that these spot gradient designs come out, so unique and each nail never looks quite the same. This design is so springy I can almost smell the fresh air... fresh air that isn't -10 degrees -_- Almost.

I've also filmed a tutorial for this design so look for it sometime today on my Instagram account!

Jewel Toned Stained Glass

Jewel toned nail polish... YUM.

There's something so satisfying when jewel tone nail polishes come together. They compliment each other so well and the end result is so deep and gorgeous.

I've been wanting to try making decals using my stamping plates and I thought this stained glass idea would be a great idea to try. Besides taking FOREVER, I really enjoyed the process and I am in love with the outcome! Want to see what I came up with?

I started by painting my nails with Enchanted Polish June 2014... actually it was an old mani, but it still works ;) Then I used Bundle Monster plate BM-208 and WetnWild Black Creme to pick up the image. While it was still on my stamper I filled in some holes using Color Club Kismet, The Little LacquerBean Blue Ribbon Baby, LynB Designs Teal The Cows Come Home, and LynB Designs Nightmare Revisited. When I finished filling in the holes I took my Sech Vite and painted over the entire design. I let that dry completely and then took some tweezers and loosened up the edge of the image. When the edge was loose I used my tweezers again to grab it and slowly peel it off of my stamper. I put a coat of Seche Vite on my nails and laid the decal over top. I then got rid of the excess with my cuticle clippers and cleaned it up with a brush dipped in acetone. Finally I finished it off with one more layer of Seche Vite

So. In. Love. It was a bit more difficult then I anticipated to do, as you can see by my messy lines in my macro ;) But that was my first nail and the rest got progressively better I swear! The hassle was definitely worth it in the end though because I mean just look at it! Look at all those jewel toned polishes!!

I know I'll be revisiting this technique again really soon, is there anything that you guys want me to do?

OH! And I've decided to start filming tutorials again! I love filming them for you guys but life got a little bit crazy and I just didn't have the time. Thankfully things seem to be settling down finally so I can start filming again and I started with this design! Look for a tutorial sometime today on my Instagram account <- click the link to be taken there.

Thanks loves :)
