It's the motherboard!

Ever have a design that just didn't turn out the way you wanted it to but you still end up liking it?

I really wanted to use the fun computer / motherboard design that's on Bundle Monster plate BM-415 but my green polish just doesn't stamp well at ALL. Because it doesn't the design ended up coming out way more subtle then I wanted so I added some number stamps on top and I actually think it brought the design together really well. Let's see what you guys think ;)

I started with a base of Sally Hansen Silver Sweep. Then I stamped using Bundle Monster plate BM-415 and China Glaze Con-Fused?. After that I stamped over all of my nails again with the same plate BM-415 and Color Club Beyond. I cleaned everything up and sealed it all in with Essie Good To Go and that was it.

I didn't expect to love this design as much as I did. Yes it's subtle but sometimes subtle can be a good thing. I felt so robot like.... is that really weird? Yeah probably but who cares I'm a damn robot!!! ;) ;)

What do you think guys? Make sure you let me know in the comments!!

Thanks loves, talk to you soon! :)

NYE Grungy Glam

Hi guys!

Sorry I haven't been posting, life's been a little crazy. But thankfully it seems to be settling, just in time for the new year! Can you believe it's almost 2015? When I was younger people would always tell me, just wait until you get older the years will just fly by. I never used to believe them but it's so true! These past few years have literally FLOWN by! But I've also learned to get excited about change, because it's going to happen wether or not you want it to ;) So I don't know about you guys but I'm so ready to bring in the new year! New opportunities, new everything. And new nails!

Let's get on with it then shall we?!

I started off with a base of Color Club Beyond. Then I took a fan brush and dipped it in Maybelline Color Show Bold Gold and then Sally Hansen Silver Sweep and brushed it over my nails. I kept going back with all three colors until I got to a look that I liked. When that was dry I took Maybelline Color Show Navy Narcissist and stamped with Bundle Monster plate BM-H14. I sealed everything in with Essie Good To Go and that was it.

I really loved these nails, I love the color that the three shades (CC Beyond, MCS Bold Gold, and SH Silver Sweep) created by using the dry brush technique. Kind of a grungy glam ;) ;)  And I think that the blue just gave it a really nice pop of color.

What do you guys think?

Are you ready for 2015?

Thanks loves :)

A pre-Thanksgiving water marble

Happy Wednesday before Thanksgiving loves!

I hope you are enjoying today, it's snowing here and aside from running around like crazy I'm totally loving it! Yeah I know I'm one of those weird people that love the snow LOL. Never know how much we're going to get though, Massachusetts is so unpredictable.

But anyways, I've done a lovely pre-Thanksgiving water marble manicure to share with you guys today. I made sure to pray hard to the water marbling gods and they answered! They did confine me to two colors though, I tried to add gold and they were like "Hey Kristine! Stop pushing it or you can f*ck off!" ;) Want to check out what I managed to do?

Alright, I started off with a base of OPI You Don't Know Jacques! on all of my nails. Then I taped them off and created the water marble using OPI You Don't Know Jacques! and Color Club Cosmic Fate. I removed the tape, cleaned up, and applied Essie Good To Go to finish it off.

I don't know about you guys but I'm so loving tone on tone, or close to tone on tone manicures lately. Especially with neutral colors like these. So fall appropriate but they still have so much visual interest. And I mean holo... come on do I have to say more? <3

If you're celebrating Thanksgiving tomorrow don't forget to do some stomach excercises today! And by that I mean eat, eat, eat! Have to make sure you've got ample room to fill up with turkey ;)

Talk to you guys soon!
Thanks so much loves :)

Shake your tail feathers

Hey guys!

I'm so excited! Do you know why? Maybe because in less then a week I can eat a disgusting amount of food and not even be ashamed ;) I LOVE Thanksgiving! I love spending time with my family and all that food.... that glorious food! Ugh I just can't wait! So I've decided to do a few 'Thanksgiving-esque' designs leading up to my Thanksgiving nails which I'll show you all on Thursday. Oh and if anyone has any ideas what I should do please let me know!

This first design I really enjoy. I love this stamp because it reminds me of turkey tail feathers, and add holo to anything and I'm hooked :) Let's get started!

I started off with a base of Lime Crime Milky Ways on my middle and ring finger and Color Club Cosmic Fate on my pointer and pinky. I stamped over my middle and ring fingers with Color Club Cosmic Fate and Bundle Monster plate BM-212. And because I didn't like the way the stamp was near my cuticles I decided to add a half moon to both nails with the same color. I sealed it all in with Essie Good To Go and that was it.

Mmmmmm dat sparkle doe *.* I love the understated-ness (is that even a word?) of these nails but once they hit the sunshine BAM! Sparkle <3

What do you guys think? What will you be wearing on your nails for Thanksgiving? Or are you like me and haven't planned that far ahead yet? ;)

Thanks loves :)

Neutral Chevrons

Happy Monday!

I'm happy anyways because I'm already out of work! Woohoooooo! LOL

I'm getting ready to release a special duo from my brand, The Little LacquerBean, and I thought I would give you all a sneak peek of one of the polishes! The duo is a neutral pair and the color I'm showing you today is called Sweet Irish Cream. Sweet Irish Cream is a creamy nude polish with a hidden sparkle and holographic finish. It's such a pretty nude and it's universally flattering, how about that?! :)

I've paired Sweet Irish Cream with Color Club Cosmic Fate. I should have totally rethought this LOL Cosmic Fate is incredibly holographic so it dwarfs the holographic sparkle on Sweet Irish Cream but trust me it's there ;) I used my chevron vinyls to create the chevrons and sealed everything in with Essie Good To Go. Wanna see?

As much as Cosmic Fate dulls the sparkle I absolutely love this combination! So neutral but so sparkly!

What do you think?

Thanks loves :)

I Hope you're ready for some stamping

Hi guys!

I hope you all made it through Monday with little to no problems... my day was terrible, everything that could go wrong at work did. *sigh* but it's Tuesday now so it's all good!! ;)

It's been a little crazy around here with my indie line, getting ready for some new releases, restocks, and two super special, super secret things... more information coming soon!! But you guys know I could never let go of this little blog! I love showing you guys my nail designs and while this design is on the simpler side I still love it and I hope you guys do too! Want to get started?

Alright I started off with a base of The Little LacquerBean Hope, a beautiful medium pink linear holographic polish (still available in the shop! ;)) When it dried I used Bundle Monster plate BM-404 and Color Club Beyond to stamp the design. I sealed everything in with a coat of Essie Good To Go and that was it!

UGH I just love pink polish!! Who would have thought it ;) ;) I really loved wearing this design because it was so simple yet when the sunlight hit it look out! I have to say that I actually did get distracted looking at them while driving O.O my boyfriend had to remind me to look at the road LOL oops!

What about you guys? What's your favorite color nail polish?

Thanks loves :)

Sugar Skulls

Hey guys!

I hope you had a super fun and safe Halloween! I was dressed as the queen of hearts, I made my own tutu and everything ;) But the best part of my costume was my two little heart cards that followed me around, my puppies! I've got a few pictures I'll see if I can get some posted!

Anyways I've got one more Halloween manicure that I thought would be super fun for today, sugar skulls! Ready to take a look?

I started off with a base of Color Club Beyond. When it dried I created the skulls with a bunch of acrylic paints. I sealed it all in with Essie Good To Go and that was it!

So yeah I know they're kind of funny looking but I still think they're cute enough!!!

What do you think guys? Did you dress up for Halloween? What were you?

Thanks loves :)

A Halloween Chevron

Hey guys!

It's getting so close to Halloween! Are you going to dress up? I have to where I work but I'm super excited about my costume... I'm going as the Queen of Hearts! I made my own tutu and everything ;) Want to know what makes it even better? My dogs are going to be playing cards LOL! Now to convince my boss that I need to take them with me... if only ;)

Anyways! I've got another Halloween-y manicure today, an orange, purple, and black chevron manicure! Let's get started!

I started out with a base of Lime Crime Peaches <3 Cream, I know this is more of a peach shade but I'm just going to go with 'creamsicle' today LOL! Then I used my nail vinyls from The Little LacquerBean (there's a 40% off coupon going right now! Use code: makeovr40!!!!) and China Glaze Bizarre Blurple and Color Club Beyond. I sealed it all in with Essie Good To Go and that's it.

I really love chevron manicures, they're simple but when you use nail vinyls you can get such crisp lines. I just love the look!

What do you guys think?

Thanks loves :)

A Delightfully Holographic Water Marble

Ever since the water marble prompt from the 31 Day Challenge 2014 I've been itching to get back on the water marble train.

I used to do quite a few water marbles but then I let it go for a while and seemed to lose the magic. No matter how hard I would try I just couldn't get it to work. But I sat down the other day determined to get something to work and finally came out with this! Ready to check it out?

I started off with a base of Essie Blanc. Then I taped off my nails and created the water marble using Color Club In De-Nile, Color Club Wicker Park, and Color Club Nail-Robi. I added a layer of The Little LacquerBean Glow-Stly on top because look at that holo!! ;) And finally I sealed it all in with a coat of Essie Good To Go

Mmmmm that sparkle! I'm so happy that I feel like I'm getting my water marbling mojo back! Keep an eye on the blog for some more water marbling manis!

What about you guys, what do you do when the water marbling god are angry with you?!

Thanks loves :)

31DC2014 Day 30: Inspired By A Tutorial

Can you even believe we're only one more day away from finishing the 31 Day Challenge 2014?! Yeah I know me either!

Anyways the prompt for today is Inspired By A Tutorial. I've seen so many incredible nail art tutorials, especially on Instagram. There were so many different ones that I could have chosen but I knew even before I got to this day what I was going to do. If you guys are on Instagram I'm sure many of you have heard of the extremely talented @sveta_sanders. Sveta... I'm not sure if that's her name, but anyways, she creates absolutely perfect nails every time. Lucky for me she also creates flawless tutorials and lately I've seen her dry marble swirl manicure everywhere. So that's the tutorial I chose to be inspired by. If you want to check it out just click on her name and you'll be taken to her Instagram where you can scroll through all of her tutorials!

Alright I started this design by painting two thick strips on my nails using Lime Crime Milky Ways and Color Club Beyond. While the polish was still wet I took the tip of a toothpick and created the swirl starting in the middle of the nail. I cleaned them up and sealed everything in with some Essie Good To Go.

I don't know about you guys but I am so in love with this design! Truth be told I've tried to do this particular design before with no luck but I'm so happy that it's finally working :) Have you tried it before?

Okay guys it's your turn! Post a link to your 31DC2014 Day 30 nails in the comments so I can see!!

Thanks loves :)

31DC2014 Day 20: Water Marble

What did I do to anger you so?!?

Day 20 of the 31 Day Challenge 2014 is water marble and man, did I anger the water marble gods! I worked on water marble nails for three hours, THREE HOURS! Everything I tried failed, and I tried so hard to make it work. I had such a pretty marble in mind!! But alas, the gods were quite angry with me so I went to my old fail safes, the Color Club Halo Hues!

I've worked with the Halo Hues many times and I know how good they work for marbling so while this isn't the marble I had in mind, nothing could ever make these polishes look bad! ;)

Alright guys, I started out with a base of Essie Blanc. When it was dry I taped off my nails and created the water marble using Color Club Beyond, Color Club Over The Moon, and Color Club Eternal Beauty. I sealed it all in with a coat of Essie Good To Go and the design was finished!

While this marble is quite a bit darker then the one I had in mind, I still love the effect the Color Clubs give when marbling!

Okay guys it's your turn! Post a link of your 31DC2014 water marble nails in the comments so I can see!

Thanks loves :)

31DC2014 Day 18: Half Moons

Day 18 of the 31 Day Challenge 2014 is half moons and I was so excited for this prompt!

I had this great idea in my head to combine a half moon manicure with an outline technique and the end result is awesome if you ask me ;)

Alright I started off with a base of Color Club Look, Don't Tusk. When it dried I created the half moon with a small nail art brush and Lime Crime Parfait Day. When all of that dried I outlined everything with the same brush and China Glaze Pool Party. I sealed it all in with Essie Good To Go and the design was finished.

I just love when an idea works out, it doesn't always happen for me but when it does you better believe I do a pretty fantastic happy dance ;) LOL

Okay guys it's your turn! Post a link to your 31DC2014 half moon nails in the comments so I can see!

31DC2014 Day 16: Geometric

Hey guys!

It's day 16 of the 31 Day Challenge 2014 and the them is geometric! I went the easy route today again with some stamping, but I have tomorrow off of work so I should be able to get back into doing some more fun free hand work! But these nails are so fun and colorful it makes the stamping okay! ;)

I started off with a four different bases, Color Club Eternal Beauty, Color Club Miss Bliss, Color Club Over The Moon, and Color Club Kismet. When they were all dry I stamped over them using Bundle Monster's plate BM-417 and LA Colors Black. I sealed it all in with some Essie Good To Go and the design was finished!

I love using the Color Club Halo Hues they're just so holographic and sparkly and everything that makes me smile! ;) And the fun triangle stamp doesn't tone down the holographic-ness at all!

Okay guys it's your turn, post a link to your 31DC2014 geometric nails in the comments so I can see!
