Reciprocal Checkerboard Gradient Nails

Reciprocal gradients are so popular right now, I see them all over the place on instagram. And they should be, reciprocal gradients, gradients that oppose each other, are so cool and super intense. There's one lovely lady on Instagram +Simply Nailogical who is absolutely the cray cray-iest reciprocal gradienter I've even seen! She did this stunning checkerboard gradient nail design a little while ago and I just knew I was going to have to try it.

I've gotta say, it didn't take me nearly as loon to create this as I thought it would. But I would have worked on the mani for days, because it is AMAZING! Keep reading to see what I came up with!

I started off with a base of Sinful Colors Snow Me White. Then when that dried I created the first vertical gradient using Color Club Miss Bliss and China Glaze Glow With The Flow. When that dried I applied some straight vinyls to my nails alternating the position down each nail and created the same gradient except with the colors reversed. I peeled off the tape and sealed everything in with some Seche Vite to finish it off.

I can't even get over how fun these were or how many people called me nuts! But hey, life wouldn't be nearly as fun if you weren't at least a little cray ;)

What do you guys think? Would you try this design? If you did send me a link in the comments so I can see them!!

Thanks loves :)

Lots of Large Dots

Hi guys!

I'm really loving dotticures lately. They're so easy to create and you can do almost anything with them! I've chosen to super size them this time though! Keep reading to see what I came up with.

I started off with a base of Sally Hansen Hard As Nails Heart of Stone. When it dried I used a large dotting tool and Sinful Color Snow Me White, China Glaze Pool Party, Essie Boom Boom Room and OPI Malaga Wine to create the large dots. I sealed everything in with some Seche Vite and added a final layer of NYC Matte Me Crazy for a flat finish.

I so love these! I love how he kind of look like bubble gum balls! I really want to experiment with dots some more so if you guys have any suggestions please let me know in the comments!

I hope you're all having a lovely week! Keep an eye out on my Instagram and YouTube later today for tutorials on this look!

Geometric Stripe Nails

Hi everyone!

I've got some super fun nails to share with you guys today. This manicure was one of those 'I have no idea where I'm going but I'm just going to keep truckin' LOL I actually really love the way they came out. I was inspired by a pattern online, I wish I could find it but it's seemingly disappeared! Anyways, check out what I came up with!

I started out with a base of LynBDesigns Nightmare Revisited. Then I applied some skinny straight nail vinyls and painted over them with Essie Boom Boom Room. I peeled off the vinyls and added a dot of LynBDesigns Nightmare Revisited in the center of each nail. Finally I sealed it all in with a layer of Seche Vite

I love how you can see the sparkle of Nightmare Revisited peeking through the pink cream. These were so stunning in the sunlight I'm sad I didn't get a chance to take a photo to show you guys!

What do you think?

Neon Holographic Glitter Gradient Nails

NEONNNNNNNNNNNNNN.

Neon and holographic glitter = everything I need in life. The end. Kthnxbye.

I mean honestly though I actually think I cried a little taking these nails off because they were SO DAMN PRETTY. The pictures don't do the holographic glitter nearly enough justice, but you can see how sparkly and gorgeous it is in my tutorial vides with will be up later ;)

Let's get this thing started!

I started with a base of China Glaze Pool Party, my absolute favorite neon pink polish. When it was dry I applied some liquid latex around my nails and created the glitter gradient by applying H&M Jo Is In The House on a cosmetic sponge and spongeing it on my nails. When I was happy with the gradient I peeled off the liquid latex and sealed the design in with a generous layer of Seche Vite. To finish off the design I added a rhinestone to each nail.

Like seriously though, did you see that macro?! I die! I know I'm being dramatic but I'm serious guys these nails were everything I've ever dreamed about and more! I think I need to recreate this look with every neon polish I own, wouldn't that make a fun collage?!

What do you think guys?

Multi-Colored Neon Leopard Nails

Oh My Goodness....

I am so in love with these absolutely wild nails! They remind me of summer time and warm weather and I'm just dying to feel that sunshine on my skin! I guess I'll just have to deal with some sunshine on my nails with this super bright neon leopard design. ;)

I started off with a base of Sinful Colors Snow Me White. When it dried I used China Glaze Pool Party, China Glaze Orange Knockout, China Glaze I'm With The Lifeguard, Orly Glowstick, and Nina Ultra Pro Blue Blaze to create the design. I used small dashes and filled up each nail randomly. Then I applied a layer of China Glaze Fairy Dust and stamped over my nails using Bundle Monster Plate BM-221 and WetnWild Black Creme. Finally I sealed it all in with a layer of Seche Vite.

These nails really were so fun to wear! I actually wore them for a record three days! Can you even believe it?! LOL I want to do some more neon nails, do you guys have any suggestions? Let me know in the comments!

Rainbow Pastel Half Moon Nails

Hey guys!

I'm so happy that I'm getting back into doing gradients. I really wish I didn't wait so long to go out and buy more cosmetic sponges because I honestly forgot how much I loved this technique. It's so versatile, there are so many different things you can do, radial gradients, vertical, horizontal, spot. The list goes on! I'm sure I'm probably boring you guys with my rambling so let's get on with the real reason you guys are here... NAILS!

Okay I started this look off by applying hole reinforcement stickers at the top of your nails near the cuticle. Then I placed a piece of tape over the small hole in the stickers so that no polish would leak through there. Then I applied my polishes to my cosmetic sponge to create the gradients. The colors I used were: Essie Boom Boom Room, Lime Crime Peaches <3 Cream, Lime Crime Crema De Limon, OPI You're Way Outta Lime, and Essie Rock The Boat. I sponged on the gradients, peeled off the stickers and applied a layer of H&M Jo is in the House over just the gradients. Then I outlined the top of the half moons with OPI This Gown Needs A Crown. I sealed all of that in with a coat of Seche Vite and finally added a heart rhinestone to each nail.

These took FOREVER! But it was so worth it because I'm obsessed with the outcome! It's so girly and sparkly and just so many things that I love. They make me think of spring time and warmer weather and right now that's just what I need ;)

Keep an eye out on my Instagram and YouTube channel for tutorials on this look a little later today!

What do you think guys?

Twinsie Tuesday: Soft and Feminine

I'm late for Twinsie Tuesday AGAIN T.T

This time it's not entirely my fault I swear! I've been sick this weekend and I was going to write up my post yesterday but my computer decided that it didn't want to work. I was trying to download the new version of iMovie and it just completely shut down my computer. Technology right?? But it's all settled now so I'm finally writing up my Twinsie Tuesday post woohoo!

The theme for today is soft and feminine. I'm super excited about this post too because I really wanted to try out this one stroke ribbon method I saw Madamluck do on Instagram. Man, it's way harder then I thought it would be to do! But I figured it out and I can't wait for you guys to see what I've come up with!

I started out with a base of Sinful Colors Snow Me White. Then I created the ribbons using a pink and lighter pink acrylic paint. I outlined the edge with a slightly lighter pink acrylic paint and created the dots using two different teal acrylic paints. Finally I sealed everything in with a coat of Seche Vite and that was it!

So they OBVIOUSLY didn't come out as good as Madamluck's did (she's a goddess!!) But I'm quite proud of these ribbon nails and really want to revisit this technique again soon.

What do you guys think? What color combination would you like to see?

Don't forget to check out everyone else's Soft and Feminine nails, I can't wait to see what they've all come up with!

Squared Ruffian

Ruffian manicures are fun, but squared ruffian manicures are even better!!

I'm always on the lookout for new ways to do different designs and recently I saw a post from The Nailasaurus and her nails were a gorgeous squared off ruffian design and I absolutely fell in love! I knew I needed to try my hand at it and I have to be honest, it's amazing! So many different color combinations are running through my head now and I can't wait to use this technique again! Keep reading to see what I came up with.

I started off with a base of Essie Bikini So Teeny. When it was dry I used a small nail art brush to map out the square with Color Club Miss Bliss and then filled in the inside of the square, you can also just use the brush that is with the nail polish to fill in the square, it's much faster LOL!  I then took the same small nail art brush to create the outline of the square with Essie Trophy Wife. I finished this design off with a layer of Seche Vite to seal everything in.

I am really so happy with the way these came out. It's such a fun and geometrical design and I love the way the straight lines contract with the small curve of my free edge. What do you guys think of this look? Do you have any color combinations you would like to see?

Thanks loves :)

Ruffian with a neon twist

Haaaaaaaaaaappy Monday!

Another week is beginning and I couldn't be more excited! I'm finally officially starting my new job and it feels like I've been waiting for this forever! So this calls for some bright and fun nails! I haven't done a ruffian design in a while so I think it's high time to change that.

I started with a base of Lime Crime Once In A Blue Mousse and when it dried I created the ruffian using Color Club Over the Moon. Then I took a small nail art brush and used it to outline the ruffian using China Glaze Pool Party. To finish it off I sealed it all in with some Seche Vite

I so loved these nails! The holo and neon and pastel come together to make the yummiest combination. Don't you think?

What about you guys, what's your favorite ruffian color combination?

Thanks for stopping by! Talk to you tomorrow!
Thanks loves :)

Twinsie Tuesday: Match Your Nails to Your Purse

UGH.

I'm late for Twinsie Tuesday.... again -_- I was so hoping that I would be on time today but things got in the way of me making this post up yesterday and I had to work today so I'm writing it up now at 530pm.... sigh. I'm sorry guys but hey, at least I got it up in the same day! LOL

The theme for today's post is match your nails to your purse. I got super excited about this post because I love my purse and then super sad because I realize that I don't have a polish that matches my purse. Boooooooooo! But I matched it up at close as I could so I hope you guys like it!

I started off with a base of Sally Hansen Presto Pink. When it was dry I took a small nail art brush and OPI This Gown Needs A Crown and painted on my small curved 'C' shapes. I sealed it all in with some Seche Vite and that was it!

I didn't think that I would like these nails because I wasn't a huge fan of this pink polish but I was actually surprised to find that I really enjoyed wearing these. I love the way the silver curves and snakes it's way through the pink, it's very visually aesthetic to me. But I'm probably base ;) Let me know what you guys think in the comments!

And don't forget to check out everyone else's purse matching nails, I know I can't wait to see what everyone has done!

Twinsie Tuesday: Anti-Valentine's Day

Hi guys!

It's Tuesday again and you know what that means.... Twinsie Tuesday! The theme for this week is Anti-Valentine's Day and I was kind of at a loss for this one. I really enjoy Valentine's Day, call me a hopeless romantic all you want ;), so I never really know what to do for an Anti-Vday manicure. But I really am happy with the design I created, are you ready to take a look?

I started off with a base of Essie No Baggage Please. When it was dry I used the dry brush technique to create a distressed look using Lime Crime Parfait Day, Color Club Miss Bliss, China Glaze Escaping Reality, and WetnWild Black Creme. I sealed everything in with Seche Vite and that was it!

So what do you think?! Did I do a good enough job for an Anti-Valentine's Day manicure? At least I tried right? ;) Make sure you take a look at the other girls Anti-Valentine's Day manicures, I can't wait to see what everyone came up with!

Twinsie Tuesday: Monochromatic

Hi guys!

I'm going to keep this post short and sweet because I'm starting a new job today! It should be a lot of fun so I'm super excited!

Anyways, it's Twinsie Tuesday again! The theme for this week is monochromatic which basically means creating a manicure using the same color just different shades. I used PINK of course! ;) And since it's almost time for Valentine's Day I've decided to create a pretty Valentine's Day design. Keep reading to see what I did!

I started off with a base of Lime Crime Parfait Day. After that I used Color Club Miss Bliss and Bundle Monster plate BM-H17 to stamp the lips. Then I used China Glaze Pool Party and a small nail art brush to free hand the word love across my nails. I finished this design off with a layer of China Glaze Fairy Dust and a generous coat of Seche Vite and that was it.

I really love the way these came out, and not just because they are in my favorite color ;) I think it's a great design for Valentine's Day and even every day, why not?!

Don't forget to check out all of the other girls designs! I'm super excited to see what they all came up with!

Pink & Patterned

I'm still obsessing over Seche Audacious...

I mean come ON did you even see what a gorgeous bright fuchsia it is?!? Seriously it could be one of my all time favorite polishes and it's not even holographic so that means a lot!

Anyways I knew as soon as I put it on my nails that I wanted to pair it with a sliver polish because pink and silver is just, my life. Pathetic? Maybe but YOLO! ;) (sorry I swore I would never use that word on here.... OOPS) Okay it's time for why you guys are really here, nails!!!

I started off with a base of Seche Audacious. When it dried I stamped over each nail using Bundle Monster plate BM-319 and Sally Hansen Silver Sweep. I cleaned up the excess, top coated with Seche Vite and that was it. Simple and easy!

I am loving this manicure so much! It's so simple, it took me literally a half hour to complete, but the final product is just wonderful. The silver really pops against the bright fuchsia for a super fun effect.

What do you think?

Thanks loves :)
