Christmas Eve Dots

It's Christmas Eve!

I really just love Christmastime, the excitement, the mystery, the friends and family. Sure it's stressful but when it comes down to it, it's always a holiday to remember. It's a little bit crazy here so I'm going to keep this post short and sweet ;)

I started off with a base of OPI Bubble Bath. Then I took a few different dotting tools and created the dots with China Glaze Just Be-Claws, China Glaze Con-Fused?, Maybelline Color Show Bold Gold, and Sally Hansen Silver Sweep. I sealed it in with Essie Good To Go and that's it.

Ahh, nothing better then a simple dotticure. I love designs like this because you can create them in so little time so they're great when your rushing around for the holidays and still want to make sure your nails are looking fabulous.

What are you wearing on your nails for Christmas Eve?

Thanks loves :)

Candycane Chevrons

It's Christmas Eve Eve Day!

Wait... is that even a thing? It is now!

Anyways I've got another Christmas design for you guys today and surprise surprise it's a chevron design... LOL These designs were never meant to be posted so close together but that cold really threw me off. I lost a lot of time for nail art and with Christmas almost here I don't have any other option. That's okay though because I am in LOVE with this one!

I started off with a base of Essie Blanc. I then created the water marble with Essie Blanc and Dior Marilyn. I applied Essie Good To Go after to speed up drying time. Once the water marble was completely dry I used my The Little LacquerBean chevrons and Essie Blanc to create the chevron design on top. One final layer of Essie Good To Go and the design was finished.

Okay this design I really love. I was getting frustrated at first because my red bled into my white when I was water marbling, I originally wanted a red and white marble. But I actually quite like it this way, the white chevrons stand out more.

What do you think guys?

Are you getting excited for Christmas?!

Thanks loves :)

Frosty Christmas Chevron

GUYS!

Hi there! Long time no talk huh? Man do I hate being away from this blog and trust me it was not on purpose. Thanks to my loving boyfriend (she says sarcastically ;)) I came down with a nasty cold at the very beginning of last week. It took me the entire week to finally get back on my feet, I couldn't get off the couch let alone edit photos and type up a blog post. Still working on 100% but I'm almost there, just in time for Christmas right?!

So I've got some nails to share with you guys, are you excited?!?! LOL I've missed painting my nails and I'm hoping to have a few more Christmas designs up here before the season is over. Ready for this one?

I started off with a base of The Little LacquerBean Frosty Balls. When it was dry I used my TLLB mini chevron vinyls and red and green acrylic paint to create the design. I sealed it all in with Essie Good To Go and that was it!

I feel like the lighting is off in these photos.... maybe it's just me.... But anyways, I told you guys I'm crazy about chevrons this year and you guys haven't seen the last of them! ;)

What do you think about this one?
Thanks loves :)

Christmas Gradient Ornaments

It just isn't Christmas without at least one red and green design ;)

But can I just say, red and green are being such jerks to work with this year! Because they are opposites they technically cancel each other out meaning that if you aren't careful a gradient can turn muddy and brown. I had to redo this gradient 3 times before I was happy with it! Ready to check it out?

I started with a base of Essie Blanc so that my gradient would really pop. When it dried I taped off my nails and created the gradient using The Little LacquerBean Sexy Red Suit and The Little LacquerBean Mistletoe Mania. I cleaned up and applied Essie Good To Go so that the stamping wouldn't smudge anything. When everything was dry I stamped over the gradient using Bundle Monster Plate BM-H03 and Maybelline Color Show Bold Gold. I sealed everything in with one final coat of Essie Good To Go and that was it.

I wasn't sure that I was going to like this mani while I was creating it. It was just so messy and nothing was going right I almost gave up. But I'm glad I didn't because I really actually loved the final product. The ornaments hide the messy gradient line and it made for a really fun and festive manicure.

What do you think guys?

Talk to you soon!
Thanks loves :)

Merry Chevrons

Chevrons.

They complete my life. I have no idea why I'm so obsessed with them lately but man, I just can't get enough! So you guys had to know there would be at least one Christmassy chevron design.... or 4 ;) I really, really loved the way this one turned out though so read on to find out how I did it.

I started off with a base of Essie Blanc. When it dried I taped off around my nails and created a water spotted design using Blackheart Beauty Jealous Type and Dior Marilyn. I removed the tape and applied The Little LacquerBean Relaxed Chevron Mini vinyls. I painted over the vinyls with Essie Blanc, removed them, cleaned everything up, and applied Essie Good To Go to finish every off.

I love how different each nail came out yet they all tie together for a beautiful Christmas design.

Oh and not to shamelessly promote or anything but just LOOK at how crisp those lines are O.O I recently changed my vinyl to a new supplier and they work so amazingly! (purchase them HERE ;) ;) )

What do you guys think?

Talk to you all soon!

Bloody Halloween

Happy Wednesday!!

How are you guys doing today? I'm kind of moping around, I seem to be getting another cold... thanks to my boyfriend! He always says its allergies.... LIAR -_- Lol!! But I'm chugging orange juice and honey like it's going out of style so maybe I can stop it ;) Hopefully anyways!

But let's get to the real reason you guys are here... nails! I've been doing some more cutesy Halloween designs lately but I think it's time for something a bit more gory don't ya think? So how about some blood splatter nails?!

I started this design off with Essie Blanc. When it dried I used OPI Big Apple Red and a straw to create the blood splatters. I cleaned up and sealed everything in with Essie Good To Go and that was it!

What do you think?! I was pleasantly surprised at how easy these were to create, they took me about 30 minutes from start to finish and the final result is just SO cool! I definitely have to try this in some other color combinations, any suggestions??

Thanks loves! :)

31DC2014 Day 9: Rainbow Nails

It's day 9 of the 31 Day Challenge 2014 and the theme is RAINBOW!!!!

I'm so pumped, I love doing rainbow nails! I know you guys don't see many on my blog but trust me, combining all those colors just makes me all happy inside :)

Ready to see what I came up with???

I started by painting on the red section with a small nail art brush and OPI Big Apple Red. Then I followed the line and created the rest using OPI Juice Bar Hopping, OPI Candlelight, OPI You Are So Outta Lime!, Nina Ultra Pro Blue Blaze, and OPI Push & Pur-Pull. Once all of the lines were created I top coated with a super secret special holographic topcoat... hint, it's mine and it's part of my soon to be released Halloween collection and it may or may not glow in the dark ;) After that I sealed everything in with a generous coat of Essie Good To Go

So how about that holographic top coat?! It may be my favorite from my Halloween collection from my brand The Little LacquerBean! Keep an eye out for the release date, it's coming up soon! But for now feel free to check out the store and check out my Welcome To The Country Fair Collection and my variety of nail vinyls HERE

But I'm super loving on these nails and I'm so heartbroken that I will have to take them off in just a few short hours!! I guess I have to have fun with them while I can! ;)

Okay guys it's your turn! Post the link to your 31dc2014 rainbow nails in the comments so I can see!

Thanks loves :)

31DC2014 Day 1: Red

Uh Oh!

It's that time again! Every September the 31 Day Challenge rolls around, and every year I let it just roll on by ;) The first challenge I ever did when I started blogging was the 31 Day Challenge and man it was so hard!

But, I figure it's time for me to give it another shot. I can't guarantee that I'll be able to do every day because I'm going to be opening up my indie shop soon but I'll give it my best try for you guys!

On to day one then: Red Nails :)

I started off this design with a beauty, Victoria's Secret Boudoir, a delicious deep red with a stunning shimmer. When it dried I used Wet n Wild Black Creme and OPI This Gown Need A Crown and created the thin lines at the free edge. I applied some Essie Good To Go on top to finish it off.

I really enjoy the simple look to these nails, they were super easy to create and the final look is quite elegant in my opinion.

So what do you think guys? Are you participating in the 31 Day Challenge? If you are drop a link to your post in the comments and I'll be sure to check it out!!

Thanks loves :)

Cheetah-licious

Hey guys!

So I've got to confess, I absolutely love cheetah / leopard print. LIterally if you put it on anything I will buy it I don't even care what it is LOL! But... I never really post cheetah / leopard nail art on here because, well... I suck at it! There! I said it I suck at it! Haha I like to think I'm okay at it but then I see all of these super talented nail artists out there and they make mine look like garbage! Eh, what are you going to do though amirite? I've got to let my love for cheetah / leopard print shine on!!

Let's get started then shall we?

I started with a base of China Glaze Fast Track on all of my nails. When that dried I used tape to create triangles near my cuticle and painted them with OPI Big Apple Red. I created the print using China Glaze Harvest Moon and black acrylic paint. Then I outlined the red triangles with Color Club Beyond, added some holographic hearts and a generous layer of Essie Good-To-Go to finish it off.

So they aren't the best ever, but I'm definitely loving the color combination here. It's so classic!

What do you guys think?

Thanks loves :)

The Sideways Frech

I've been hearing of a trend going around lately... actually for a while now called the "sideways french", at least I think that's what it's called LOL. The idea is that of a french manicure except flipped on it's side. The idea has intrigued me quite a bit but I never really thought it was a design for me. Well... I take it back. I decided to try it out a little while ago and I was totally wrong, I actually really love it!

I went with a classic red / black combo and the result is.... well check it out for yourself ;)

I started with a base of OPI Big Apple Red. When it was dry I freehanded the black using Wet n Wild Black Creme. I top coated everything with Essie Good To Go and the design was finished.

This look was so simple, yet so striking! And it was so super easy to create, I think the whole manicure took me like 30 minutes. I'm definitely going to be trying out this design again!

What do you think? Have you tried the "sideways french?"

Thanks loves! :)

Primary color block negative space nails

I've been itching to do some more negative space nails and what's more fun then using some bright, bold colors?!

I know these nails don't really look much like negative space nails, trust me I know lol. But there is a tiny little sliver of naked space between each color so I guess that counts right?! I meant to make the spaces bigger but I kept having to go back and straighten out lines and well, this happened ;)

I started with some good old nekkid nails and then took some white acrylic paint and drew out the 'blueprint' of my design. When the paint dried I went back with OPI Big Apple Red, Sally Hansen InstaDri Lightening, Zoya Song, and China Glaze Orange Knockout. I cleaned up the lines and made sure there was still some naked nail showing through and finished off with a generous coat of Essie Good To Go

These nails were so fun to wear! I loved the bright primary (besides orange ;)) colors! I just wish I made the spaces a little wider but oh well, better luck next time right?!

What's your favorite negative space manicure?

Thanks loves :)

Talk nerdy to me

Yes talk nerdy, er geeky that is, to me ;) I mean I won't understand a word you're saying but I'm sure you'll look cute doing it LOL!

When I saw the "I <3 geeks" image on Bundle Monster's plate I knew I had to pair it with some super geek chic black glasses. And can I tell you how hard of a time I had painting them?! I have no idea why but I guess I'll never be a glasses artist ;) I'm still not sure that they look the way they are supposed to but this is the best I got and hopefully you can see what I was trying to do.

I started with a base of Essie Blanc and waited for it to dry. When it was dry I created the glasses and the dots using black and white acrylic paints. I stamped on my ring finger using BM-401 and L.A Colors striping polish in Black. I colored in the little heart with some red acrylic paint and then added a layer of China Glaze Fairy Dust because everything is prettier sparkly ;) I sealed everything in with a generous layer of Poshe and ta-daaaaaa! Geek chic.

I'm so happy that the image fit on my nail, I was a little weary at first because the images on the plates seem to be so big that almost none fit completely on my nails! That's alright though because it's fun to take bits and pieces of some images and create something completely different.

Thanks for reading loves :)

A Patriotic French

I did two different designs to show you guys for Memorial Day but as you know I forgot to post them -_- I won't let that stop me though!

You've already seen my red, white, and blue watermarble and today I have a simple french with a patriotic flair.

There's nothing quite as refreshing as a clean and crisp french manicure and they're so easy to spice up! I started this design by creating my white tips using Essie Blanc and a clean up brush dipped in acetone to clean up the smile line. When that dried I layered OPI Bubble Bath over everything. I then created the dots using China Glaze Just Be-Claws and So Blue With Out You. I layered China Glaze Fairy Dust over the top for a pretty sparkle! I sealed everything in with some Poshe and the design was finished.

Now that my nails have finally started getting some length again I'm really loving the way french manicures look!

What about you guys? Whats your favorite french manicure combo?

Thanks loves :)
