Multi-Colored Neon Leopard Nails

Oh My Goodness....

I am so in love with these absolutely wild nails! They remind me of summer time and warm weather and I'm just dying to feel that sunshine on my skin! I guess I'll just have to deal with some sunshine on my nails with this super bright neon leopard design. ;)

I started off with a base of Sinful Colors Snow Me White. When it dried I used China Glaze Pool Party, China Glaze Orange Knockout, China Glaze I'm With The Lifeguard, Orly Glowstick, and Nina Ultra Pro Blue Blaze to create the design. I used small dashes and filled up each nail randomly. Then I applied a layer of China Glaze Fairy Dust and stamped over my nails using Bundle Monster Plate BM-221 and WetnWild Black Creme. Finally I sealed it all in with a layer of Seche Vite.

These nails really were so fun to wear! I actually wore them for a record three days! Can you even believe it?! LOL I want to do some more neon nails, do you guys have any suggestions? Let me know in the comments!

Keep an eye out on my Instagram and YouTube Channel for tutorials on this look a little later today!

Pastel Spot Gradient with Stamping

It's gradient time!

It's been so incredibly long since my last gradient manicure which makes me so sad because I love gradients! Truth is I ran out of my cosmetic sponges and have been way to lazy to buy more... oops T.T But I've finally got some so let's kick off what I'm sure will be a plethora of gradient designs with this fun, springy, pastel spot design with some contrasting stamping on top.

I started off with a base of Sinful Colors Snow Me White. I then applied some liquid latex around my nails (watch out for this fun neon pink liquid latex to be available in my shop SOON!) I then took a cosmetic sponge and added splotches of Essie Nice is Nice, Lime Crime Pastelchio, Lime Crime Once In A Blue Mousse, Lime Crime Parfait Day, and Lime Crime Peaches <3 Cream. Once everything was dry I stamped over each nail with WetnWild Black Creme and Bundle Monster plate BM-721. I peeled off the liquid latex, cleaned up around my nails and applied a coat of Sech Vite to finish off this design.

I love the way that these spot gradient designs come out, so unique and each nail never looks quite the same. This design is so springy I can almost smell the fresh air... fresh air that isn't -10 degrees -_- Almost.

I've also filmed a tutorial for this design so look for it sometime today on my Instagram account!

Jewel Toned Stained Glass

Jewel toned nail polish... YUM.

There's something so satisfying when jewel tone nail polishes come together. They compliment each other so well and the end result is so deep and gorgeous.

I've been wanting to try making decals using my stamping plates and I thought this stained glass idea would be a great idea to try. Besides taking FOREVER, I really enjoyed the process and I am in love with the outcome! Want to see what I came up with?

I started by painting my nails with Enchanted Polish June 2014... actually it was an old mani, but it still works ;) Then I used Bundle Monster plate BM-208 and WetnWild Black Creme to pick up the image. While it was still on my stamper I filled in some holes using Color Club Kismet, The Little LacquerBean Blue Ribbon Baby, LynB Designs Teal The Cows Come Home, and LynB Designs Nightmare Revisited. When I finished filling in the holes I took my Sech Vite and painted over the entire design. I let that dry completely and then took some tweezers and loosened up the edge of the image. When the edge was loose I used my tweezers again to grab it and slowly peel it off of my stamper. I put a coat of Seche Vite on my nails and laid the decal over top. I then got rid of the excess with my cuticle clippers and cleaned it up with a brush dipped in acetone. Finally I finished it off with one more layer of Seche Vite

So. In. Love. It was a bit more difficult then I anticipated to do, as you can see by my messy lines in my macro ;) But that was my first nail and the rest got progressively better I swear! The hassle was definitely worth it in the end though because I mean just look at it! Look at all those jewel toned polishes!!

I know I'll be revisiting this technique again really soon, is there anything that you guys want me to do?

OH! And I've decided to start filming tutorials again! I love filming them for you guys but life got a little bit crazy and I just didn't have the time. Thankfully things seem to be settling down finally so I can start filming again and I started with this design! Look for a tutorial sometime today on my Instagram account <- click the link to be taken there.

Find A Little Inspiration

Winter sucks.

There's really no way around it, it's cold, there's germs and it's light out for like an hour a day. Who gets any enjoyment out of that?!

I'm going to get real for a minute, hold on to your hats folks ;) I have seasonal depression. For those of you that don't know me I also have extreme anxiety which, surprisingly enough I've finally got under control with the help from my doctor. But as far as the seasonal depression goes, winter can get real hard on this girl. I find myself looking for ways to keep the blues away and one of my favorite things to do is look up inspirational quotes. Laugh all you want but I absolutely love them, they can brighten my day without fail.

And that's why I love this plate from Bundle Monster's new Secret Garden set so much. It's filled with inspiring and warm words. Inspire, life, love, beauty and magic are just a few of the words you can find on this plate it's so beautiful! I created this look below and absolutely fell in love. Let's see if you guys feel the same.

I started off with a base of China Glaze Too Yacht To Handle. When it dried I stamped over each nail first with Bundle Monster plate BM-703 and PMTG White Undies and then again with Bundle Monster plate BM-705 and WetnWild Black Creme. I sealed everything in with some Seche Vite to finish it off.

I really really loved this design and I'm always looking for new ways to stay inspired and keep my head up in these harsh winter months. What do you guys do to keep the winter blues away?

I hope you liked this design, let me know in the comments what you think!

Twinsie Tuesday: Anti-Valentine's Day

Hi guys!

It's Tuesday again and you know what that means.... Twinsie Tuesday! The theme for this week is Anti-Valentine's Day and I was kind of at a loss for this one. I really enjoy Valentine's Day, call me a hopeless romantic all you want ;), so I never really know what to do for an Anti-Vday manicure. But I really am happy with the design I created, are you ready to take a look?

I started off with a base of Essie No Baggage Please. When it was dry I used the dry brush technique to create a distressed look using Lime Crime Parfait Day, Color Club Miss Bliss, China Glaze Escaping Reality, and WetnWild Black Creme. I sealed everything in with Seche Vite and that was it!

So what do you think?! Did I do a good enough job for an Anti-Valentine's Day manicure? At least I tried right? ;) Make sure you take a look at the other girls Anti-Valentine's Day manicures, I can't wait to see what everyone came up with!

Golden Leopard Spots

Hey guys!

Once again this blog is sadly missing out on some animal print. I don't know how this happens, I LOVE animal print I'm not sure why I never think to do it on my nails. That's all about to change though! I think it's going to get wild up in here ;)

I started this design off with a base of China Glaze Don't Be A Luna-Tic. When it dried I dabbed on little blobs of China Glaze Angel Wings. Then I took a small dotting tool and WetnWild Black Creme and created the spot outlines. I sealed it all in with Seche Vite and that was it.

I really enjoy the way China Glaze Don't Be A Luna-Tic sparkles in the sun. The holographic isn't very strong but it's just enough to give it that little extra oomph to take it to the next level.

What do you think? What's your favorite animal print?

Twinsie Tuesday: Fandom

Hey guys!

I've got some exciting news to share with you all today! The wonderful girls of Twinsie Tuesday have been kind enough to invite me to join their group. I'm super excited because all of the girls are so sweet and they have some really great prompts to get my gears turning again ;)

Twinsie Tuesday is a group of lovely ladies (linked below) that post a new manicure every Tuesday following a given prompt. I think this is such a great idea and I'm so pumped to see everyones manicures every week!

The prompt this week is Fandom. Fandom is basically something that you are a super fan of. It can be a book, hobby, movie, tv show, basically anything that you're crazy about. For me it's a television series, Pretty Little Liars. I'm absolutely obsessed with this show! My best friend and I get together every week to watch it, I don't know what I'm going to do when it's over!

Ready to see what I created?

I started off with a base of WetnWild Black Creme. Then I used the dry brush technique to add OPI Push & Shove and Color Club Beyond. I went over it with some more WetnWild Black Creme to tone down the strokes. Then I added a coat of NYC Matte Me Crazy to give this part a flat finish. When that was dry I took Dior Marilyn and a straw and splattered it all over my nails. I cleaned up the splatter and added my red accents using some red acrylic paint. No top coat for this one because I wanted the matte and shiny part to really contrast.

Love the messy, bloody look to these nails, they make me think of PLL which is never a bad thing ;)

What are all of you guys crazy about? Tv show? Movie? Hobby? Let me know in the comments!

Don't forget to check out all of the other Twinsies!

Inspiration Nation: Halloween Edition

Hey guys!

I did that whole disappearing thing again didn't I? Poop. Sorry guys! I've been juggling so many things lately that blogging has kind of taken a back seat. I'm working hard on my line, The Little LacquerBean and there's some exciting things that are going to be happening with it so keep an eye out!

Anyways let's get on to the nails! I'm sure most of you know Kelli from The Nail Polish Challenge, and if you don't you have to immediately click that link to see because she's amazing!! These nails are inspired by a manicure that she did recently, a mattified dotticure. I seriously fell in love with the nails she did and I loved her color combination, I really wanted to recreate them using the same colors but since it's almost Halloween I thought that a themed manicure would be fun!

Okay so you're totally going to be mad at me but I literally cannot remember what I used for a base... I really want to say Lime Crime Milky Ways but I just don't know! The lighting is a little off so I'm not sure if it's actually white. Hmmmm, well it will work with either color ;) Then I used Wet n Wild Black Creme, Lime Crime Pastelchio, and Sinful Colors Citrine along with a large dotting tool to create the dots. I applied Essie Good To Go before my matte top coat to prevent it from smearing my dots. And when it dried I used NYC Matte Me Crazy to finish it off!

What do you think guys? I know it's not even close to the amazingness of Kelli's but I'm seriously digging this mattified mani!

What's your favorite design to mattify?

Spooky Spiderwebs

IT'S TIME!

It's time. It's time. It's time. It's time..... for Halloween nails!!!

Halloween has got to be one of the best times of the year for nail art, there are so many different things to do! I've got a couple ideas in my head so keep an eye out for some spooky designs like the one I created today: spiderwebs!!

I have to confess, I took these nails off almost as soon as I finished them, it's not that I didn't like them, I actually loved them! But I am terrified of spiders! ;) Though it is the time of the year so spiderwebs it is!

I started off with a base of Wet n Wild Black Creme. When it died I took a small nail art brush and some white acrylic paint to create the webs. I sealed it all in with Essie Good To Go and that's it!

Even though I hate spiders I loved these nails!! I'm so excited that I got the lines thin enough so that the spiderweb looked delicate... to an extent LOL!

What do you guys think? What do you want to see for nail art this Halloween??

Thanks loves :)

Chevron Stamping

Hey guys!

Chevrons have been all the rage lately, with so many people selling nail vinyls (including myself ;)) there's such a great variety to choose from and they really make creating manicures like this so easy!!

But I want to show you guys another alternative for chevron nails... stamping! Not that I want you guys to stop buying my nails vinyls! ;)LOL But in some ways stamping can be even easier! Wanna see the look??

I started off with a base of Wet n Wild Black Creme. Then I added a layer of The Little LacquerBean Glow-Stly on top. When that was dry I stamped the chevrons on my nails using L.A Colors Black and Bundle Monster's plate BM-423. I sealed it all in with Essie Good To Go and that's it!

I just love the way that Glow-Stly can bring any manicure up to a super sparkly level! Manicure looking a little boring? Throw some Glow-Stly on top and you'll be entertained for hours! Not only is it super holographic, it also glows in the dark!! Endless fun ;)

What do you guys think?

Thanks loves :)

31DC2014 Day 31: Honor Nails You Love

I had big dreams starting this challenge, dreams of finishing this challenge on time and with designs that I'm really proud of. I wasn't sure that it would be realistic, this month has been so incredibly busy for me, working two jobs, opening up my indie polish store, and doing this challenge. But some way or another I finally made it and I can honestly say that I'm so proud of my designs! And I'm so happy that you all stuck it out with me and I hope that you liked what I came up with! It's been a trip, a long one at that, but it's been so fun, it's challenged my nail art skills and it's made me a better artist!

Aww mushy stuffs X)

Anyways let's get on to why you guys are really here... NAILS! The last prompt of the 31 Day Challenge 2014 is Honor Nails You Love. I knew exactly what I was going to do before I even started this challenge. Sarah from Chalkboard Nails has always been an inspiration to me. Her blog is actually the very first nail art blog I ever found and she is the reason that I decided to start blogging. Everything that she does is flawless, and I'm not just saying that, go check her out and you'll see what I mean! And not only is she a talented artist, she's also one of the nicest people I have ever "met" (hypothetically speaking anyways ;)) I've got to say she actually followed me the other day on Instagram and I did the biggest happy dance ever! Among many of the awesome designs she does, she did a distressed nail art look (with tutorial) that I've been drooling over forever! So I decided to recreate it, with a few different colors, for this prompt!

I started off with a base of Essie Blanc. When it was dry I followed her tutorial to create the distressed look with Lime Crime Lavendairy, China Glaze Too Yacht To Handle, OPI Push & Pur-Pull, and Wet n Wild Black Creme. I sealed everything in with some Essie Good To Go and that was it!

I'm so happy I chose this design to recreate because I am in love! It just looks so fun and punk-ish.... I almost even feel like a bad-ass.... almost ;)

But for real guys I recommend you checking out Sarah over at Chalkboard Nails if you haven't yet, you won't be disappointed!!

It's your turn now! Post a link to your 31DC2014 day 31 nails in the comments so I can check them out!

Thanks loves :)

31DC2014 Day 29: Inspired By The Supernatural

Hey guys!

So I regretfully invite you all to take a look at my Day 29 nails... The prompt is inspired by the supernatural and my nails just.... don't really do it. I may even venture to say that they look like flying poops... yes, flying poops LOLOL Oh well though you can't win them all right?!

I'll tell you what I was trying to accomplish here, when I think of the supernatural for some reason my mind immediately goes to Harry Potter. Maybe it's just the fact that I love Harry Potter, yeah, it's probably that ;) But anyways, I was inspired by the dementors, seeing as they always terrify me!! Ready to check it out?

I started off with a base of NYC Sidewalkers on all of my nails. Then I created a circular gradient using Sinful Colors Slate and Wet n Wild Black Creme. When it dried I went back with some black acrylic paint to create the big dementor on my ring finger nail and all of the small flying ones on my other nails. I sealed it all in with Essie Good To Go and that's it!

While the design is creepy for sure, I'm not quite sure that it really looks like dementors. But I tried and that's what counts right? ;)

Okay guys you have to save me! Post a link to your 31DC2014 day 29 nails in the comments so I don't have to look at mine anymore!!

Thanks loves :)
