The fail that turned into a success... and another birthday :)

Hello all!

Today's my sister's birthday woooo! LOL Her favorite color is purple so I knew I had to do a purple mani!! I've been wanting to try a matte shiny mani with stamping plates but I didn't think it would actually work, then the other day a blogger, forgive me I can't remember their name, did one and it looked so beautiful! But she said she had to play with the top coat polish because some wouldn't work. I sat down today and got ready to try it then BAM super fail :( None of the top coats I own worked , I even tried to do it with my matte top coat and nothing! So instead of stopping at this failure I whipped out my holo top coat because I mean... everything is better holo-ified ;) I'm really loving how these turned out!

Colors used:
- ELF Violet Velvet
- Hits Hefesto

Mmmmm holo!!! :)
Look at that holo! LOOK AT IT! O.O lol sorry I get a little carried away ;)

I used BM-201 for the stamp and I have to say I really don't want to ever take this off! I like it way more then I thought I would!

So the lesson here is: even when everything you do fails... don't give up! Because you could be one fail away from one of your all time favorites! :)

So what do you guys think?

And as always... thanks for reading! :)

The Lazy 15: Feminine Nails

Good morning! :)

Today's challenge for the Lazy 15 is Feminine Nails.... so there's about to be some more pink nails up in here!!! LOL The first thing that comes to my mind when I think feminine is pink! So me and my little nubblins sat down pretty late last night and painted up some pink ruffly feminine nails :) Although because I did them so late they aren't my best work but I still really like them! Take a look :)

Colors used:
- Maybelline Wet Shine H2O Pink
- Sally Girl Hot pink (812157?)

Lost my ruffle toward the end on my middle finger LOL
I used Chalkboard Nails' tutorial again for ruffle nails but I just turned them sideways :) And of course the darker pink is actually a beautiful neon pink and my camera refused to acknowledge that... the woes of photographing neons ;)

They kind of remind me of stripe-y pants.... not sure why haha!

Anyways what do you guys think?

Thanks for reading and you have to check everyone else out! :)

Birthday mani! :)

Hello lovely people!!

So today is a good day :) It's not MY birthday but my boyfraaands woo!! I knew I wanted to do a birthday mani with his favorite color which is.... green? LOL He changes his mind more then anyone I know but last time I checked it was green ;) Which is good because it gave me another reason to use my current favorite green, Sinful Colors San Francisco!!! Yay! Not that I really needed an excuse but hey when one presents itself you run with it!

Before you look at the picture though I would like to tell you about my nails... they're nubbins :( Sometime around last Saturday I got a break on my pointer and have been trying to keep it together with Orly's Nail Rescue but it just kept getting worse and worse so last night I decided just to chop it! Eeeek! My nails haven't been this short in quite a long time and I have to say it took me a while to get used to looking at them lol! BUT, they aren't as short as they could be so oh well they'll grow back right? :)

Ok now you all can take a look at the mani I did for my boyfrands birthday!

Colors used:
- Sinful Colors San Fransisco
- Maybelline Color Show Bold Gold

I know what you are all going to say *gasp!* She did gold stamping two days in a row!! Well deal with it LOL! :) I just like it so much and what better color to use over green then gold? Although San Francisco kind of ate up this gold polish for some reason.... weird. Anyways you'll have to forgive me as I don't remember which Bundle Monster plate this is off the top of my head... If anyone knows feel free to let me know in the comments! :)

So what do you guys think?

Thanks for reading! :)

The Lazy 15: Favorite Color

Hello everyone!

So today is the next challenge day for the Lazy 15 and it's my favorite color!! It will probably be no surprise to all of you that my favorite color is..... PINK! Shocking right? ;) LOL anyways I was going to do something really cool and had all these awesome ideas but after two total fails... I still hate it!!! Ahhhh! Last night was clearly not my night for polish -_- I'm going to show it to you guys still but I just can't stand it!! I liked the idea but for some reason the polish decided to pile up at the tips of my nails which this particular polish has never done. So it looks all goopy :( Wahh!! Oh well take a look if you dare :)

Colors used:
- Sinful Colors Cream Pink
- Maybelline Color Show Bold Gold

I found that Maybelline Color Show Bold Gold is a really awesome stamping polish!! Love it! Oh and I used BM-212 for the stamp.

I know I know it's not AWFUL but I really just don't like it :( It's really depressing because I had such high hopes for this challenge day... Well that just means I'll have to do this challenge again!!! ^.^

So I cringe as I ask... but what do you guys think?? Haha!

Thanks for reading and you all have to check out everyone else designs for today!!!

Butterfly wings

Hi guys!

Happy Tuesday! My Tuesday is technically like my Monday so I'm not too excited -_- lol! Oh well I've got some lovely butterfly wings for you all today!! I've been trying to find some trends that I've never done before and butterfly wings was definitely on the top of the list. They always look so beautiful and delicate.... not sure I pulled off the delicate part haha. I didn't watch any tutorials or anything so I suppose if I did they may have come out a bit more.... refined :) Take a look!!

Colors used:
- Sally Hansen Teal Steel
- Sinful Colors Black on Black
- Hits Hefesto
- White Acrylic Paint

The next picture isn't very good quality but I really wanted to show you guys the beautiful holo-ness underneath :)

Not really sure why I decided to go with blue but I knew I wanted it to be holo-ified and I just LOVE blue holo anything :) So blue butterfly it is!!

What do you guys think?

Thanks for reading! :)

The Lazy 15: Galaxy Nails

Good morning all you lovely people!!!

Today's challenge for The Lazy 15 is galaxy nails and can I just say a few things here? One: I HAD NO IDEA WHAT I WAS DOING.... I watched umpteen different videos and for some reason I just didn't get it! Lol! Two: Many of the galaxy nails I saw in the tutorials were yellowy orangey and red and I knew I would not be able to blend all those colors so I opted for some pretty purple and pink and blue ;) and Three: I went a little "star" crazy on my middle nail LOL oh well! For my first attempt at these I'm kinda digging them you know you gotta look :)

Colors used:
- Sally Hansen Heart of Stone
- Sinful Colors Black on Black
- Sally Hansen Hard to Get
- ELF Sea Escape
- Sinful Colors Let's Talk
- Wet n Wild Kaleidoscope
- Color Club Gift of Sparkle

Galaxy nails are so cool and I never thought I would ever be able to do them. I'm so happy with the way these turned out! And I really liked using Wet n Wild's Kaleidoscope for the small stars because it's holographic and it catches the light and sparkles like crazy :)

So what do you guys think??

Thanks for reading and I can't wait to see how everyone else's galaxy nails came out!!! :)

Ruffles and some more ruffles!

Happy Sunday everyone!!

So today, as promised, I have a free hand design for you guys woooooo!!! For the longest time I've been wanting to try Chalkboard Nails' ruffle manicure (click HERE to see her awesome tutorial!!) I had some extra time yesterday so I decided to give it a try :) So take a look!!

Colors used:
- Sally Hansen Insta-Dri Snappy Sorbet
- Sally Hansen Heart of Stone
- Petites Baby Blue

I thought this design would get really thick on my nails because there are so many layers of dots but it actually didn't. I was very pleasantly surprised about that and I'll definitely try this design again :)

So what do you guys think?

Also, I'm starting to prepare for my 100 follower giveaway!!! I'm getting so close so watch out for it because it's going to be a good one ;) (if I can figure out how to use rafflecopter haha!)

Thanks for reading guys! :)
