Mmmm caviar

Good morning guys!

So who wants to see some more caviar nails? If you do you're in luck! My sister got me these micro beads from Claire's for Christmas and I couldn't wait to try them out! The beads are a mis of blue and purple and the combo is just gorgeous! Take a look :)

Colors used:
- Maybelline Color Show Blue Blowout

I was apparently kind of stingy on my pinky and thumb ;) This blue and purple is such a great combo! It actually reminds me of an animal print... I believe there is a frog with these colors.... I might be wrong but that's what it reminds me of. Again these are so much fun but SO not practical -_- I wouldn't be able to wear these for more than an hour before I picked them all off LOL

So what do you guys think?

Thanks for reading :)

OH and hint hint... keep your eyes on my blog... there may or may not be a giveaway popping up in the near future ;)

More matte/shiny

Hello everyone!

So you may remember yesterday's post with the black nails and blue striping tape. Well this is the mani that I was doing when I came across that gem! Yep I was going for some more matte/shiny nails! These ones are super cool because they have an almost 3D look to them! So here's the finished product!

Colors used:
- Sinful Colors Black on Black
- NYC Matte Me Crazy

I think it looks almost quilted! I felt pretty BA wearing these ;) LOL I want to try doing matte/shiny with other colors too but I'm afraid it won't show up as well as the black does.... You guys know I'll try it anyways though :)

Simple striping

Hi guys!

So the mani I'm showing you today wasn't planned. It's actually part of another mani that I will be showing you in the near future. It's no secret that I love striping tape.... well I hate using it but love the effect at least ;) LOL After I had put one piece on each nail I fell in love! I almost didn't even finish the mani that I had planned to do! But alas I persevered. Not before I snapped a couple pics tho :)

Colors used:
- Sinful Colors Black on Black

I love how simple yet striking this mani is. The blue tape really pops against the black. I think I'm going to have to try different colored tape and do this one again lol! The only problem I have with keeping striping tape on my nails is the corners never want to stay down! That's why generally when I use striping tape I paint over it and peel it off. Any one have any tip on how to make the tape stay down?

Swatched: China Glaze Cirque du Soleil: Def Defying, Bend Over Backwards, Running in Circles, Escaping Reality

Whew long title much? ;)

I couldn't figure out how to shorten it so that's what you get :) LOL I've got some more Christmas goodies for you guys! I asked for four of the China Glaze Cirque du Soleil collection and got them! Woohoo Santa must like me very much ;) I should have asked for Whirled Away but I've heard such mixed reviews of it I'm not sure if I should get it or not...

Anyways on with the pretties!

First up is Def Defying,

Def Defying is a bright green creme polish. Super gorgeous in my opinion! It's a very unique green, almost neon... I didn't test the wearability since I change my polish almost every day but if I were to bet I would guess this one might stain like a bugger so be careful! It applied like a dream like most China Glaze polishes may haps a little on the thicker side though. Below is three coats of Def Defying and one coat of Top Coat. Two coats should be fine for full opacity though.

Next up is Bend Over Backwards,

Bend Over Backwards is a shimmery bronze-y orange polish. The shimmer is subtle, more like an overall glow which I really love. Such a strange name though.... I suppose I've heard weirder lol! Application was thinner than Def Defying but not so thin that it would be hard to work with. Below is three coats of Bend Over Backwards and one coat of Top Coat. Two coats is just fine though.

Running in Circles is next on the list!

Running in Circles is a emerald green glass fleck polish. I only have one other glass fleck-y polish but I just love the way they look! There's such depth in the polish it's really amazing. Running in Circles applied more like Bend Over Backwards, being on the thinner side, but was still extremely easy to work with. Below is three coats of Running in Circles and one coat of Top Coat. Two is still way fine for full opacity here.

Lastly is Escaping Reality,

Escaping Reality is a neon pink creme polish. Put your sunglasses on for this one! I read somewhere that this one is much like Flip Flop Fantasy from China Glaze's summer neons collection, I couldn't tell you for sure because I don't have Flip Flop Fantasy but it sure would fit in. Application for Escaping Reality was like Def Defying, thicker but not difficult to work with. Below is three coats of Escaping Reality and one coat of Top Coat. Two coats will work just as well though.

Definitely loving these polishes. The other polishes from the Cirque du Soleil collection didn't really catch my eye... well except for Whirled Away which is a black and white glitter polish. I want your opinions... should I go ahead and just get Whirled Away? Or is it just too much trouble to bother with?

What do you guys think?

Happy New Year!

Happy New Year!!!

Well it's been 2013 for a couple of hours now and I'm still trying to figure out how I'm going to remember to write 13 on all my work stuff -_- LOL

Anyways I say we welcome in the new year with something new! Animal print is no stranger to this blog but some of you may remember that I've been trying to perfect my free-hand leopard... well it's not near perfect but I'm jumping in this new year with both feet and posting them! So here's something new to the blog... free-hand leopard nails :)

Colors used:
- China Glaze Fast Track
- ELF Blushing Beauty
- Black Acrylic Paint

I'm pretty proud of these ones. They're the first ones to actually look like leopard spots ;) I can't wait to try these again with different color combos!!

So what do you guys think? What did you wear on your nails for New Years?

New Years mani take two!

Happy New Years Eve Day everyone ;)

Too bad my bank doesn't close early for that -_- LOL Oh well! So I recently saw THIS design from the lovely Lydia of Lydia's Nails and knew that I would have to do something similar for New Years. I can't believe I've never tried a glitter gradient!! I love gradients so much you guys probably know that but I think I was too afraid of the removal process that is involved with removing glitter... By the way I'm NOT looking forward to taking these off LOL! Any ways check out my glitter gradient nails for New Years! :)

Colors used:
- China Glaze Glistening Snow
- Claire's Starstruck Flying Saucer
- Claire's Starstruck Cosmic

Mmmmm SPARKLE!! :)

SO SPARKLY! I'm going to have to be very careful when driving today ;) These are definitely the nails I will be wearing for New Years even though I'm not doing anything LOL! If you don't follow me on twitter you should, I'll be keeping you all updated on how the removal process is going ;) I'm sure it won't be well hahaha!

So what do you guys think?

Thanks for reading and Happy New Year!! :)
