Cheetah-licious

Hey guys!

So I've got to confess, I absolutely love cheetah / leopard print. LIterally if you put it on anything I will buy it I don't even care what it is LOL! But... I never really post cheetah / leopard nail art on here because, well... I suck at it! There! I said it I suck at it! Haha I like to think I'm okay at it but then I see all of these super talented nail artists out there and they make mine look like garbage! Eh, what are you going to do though amirite? I've got to let my love for cheetah / leopard print shine on!!

Let's get started then shall we?

I started with a base of China Glaze Fast Track on all of my nails. When that dried I used tape to create triangles near my cuticle and painted them with OPI Big Apple Red. I created the print using China Glaze Harvest Moon and black acrylic paint. Then I outlined the red triangles with Color Club Beyond, added some holographic hearts and a generous layer of Essie Good-To-Go to finish it off.

So they aren't the best ever, but I'm definitely loving the color combination here. It's so classic!

What do you guys think?

Thanks loves :)

Design Seeds inspired watermarble

So I forget which blog I read this on, but they mentioned something about this site called Design Seeds. Clearly curiosity killed that cat and I couldn't live with myself if I didn't check it out and I'm so glad that I did.

Design Seeds is a color palette site. It shows you what colors work well together and helps give you inspiration for different color combinations. It has been my saving grace! I always used to have trouble trying to figure out what colors went well together and what colors did not. As a result I usually mixed colors with neutrals and it made me sad because I would always see these beautiful colorful manis everywhere and just wanted mine to be that colorful! Well now, with the help of Design Seeds my manicures will me more colorful then ever ;)

It's funny I say that though because this particular design only combines one color and a bunch of neutrals.... hey they can't all be crazy right?! LOL! Let's get on with it shall we?

I started with a base of Lime Crime Milky Ways for the base of my water marble. Then I marbled using Maybelline Color Show Clear, Essie Penny Talk, Orly Gumdrop, and Zoya Zuza. I really love how Essie Penny Talk separated, I think all metallic polishes may do that, but it creates such a cool effect! I sealed it all in with some Essie Good To Go and the design was finished.

I really enjoyed the look of this watermarble, it's so unique. And so what if the lines aren't perfectly smooth! That's what gives it character ;)

What's your favorite watermarble color combination?

Thanks loves :)

Beachin'

Ahhh, sweet summertime.

The time to relax, kick back, and enjoy some quality beach time. As long as you're not working that is ;)

Since I don't always have time to just take of and head to the beach I figured I would bring the beach to me! On my nails of course :) Keep reading to see how I created this look!

I started with a base of Essie Blanc on all of my nails. When that was dry I created a gradient using Lime Crime Milky Ways and Orly Gumdrop. I went back with a small piece of sponge and Essie Blanc to create the little bit of white (waves) between the gradient. Then I used Essie Blanc again and dropped a few drops in a cup full of water and sprayed some hair spray on it to create a spotted effect. I sponged Lime Crime Milky Ways over my tips again to take away the white. Then I created the starfish on my ring finger with a small nail art brush and China Glaze Wish On A Starfish (appropriate right?!) I sealed everything in with a generous coat of Essie Good To Go and I was ready to enjoy the beach!

Even though this design took SO LONG, the final product was really worth it. I felt so summery wearing this design, my only wish was that I added more sea life and shells to the sand. But oh well there's always next time right?

Do you guys love the beach?

Thanks loves :)

Recycled!

Good morning!

Today I have yesterday's mani recycled!! I love recycling manis LOL! I loved yesterday's mani so much that I just couldn't bear to take it off just yet. I tried to think of something to add to them and then BAM it just hit me! I've been getting more accustomed to using striping tape and I've been getting such good results I figured I'd add a little here too and man I love the results!

Colors used:
- China Glaze Fast Track
- L.A. Colors Striping Polish in Black

I just love the results! I think they look so elegant and I got SO many compliments when I wore them! I'm definitely going to try something like this again!

Moar dots please!!!

Good morning lovelies :)

So yesterday was supposed to be my polish day... I planned to sit all day and just paint my nails so I could get a few manis built up :) OF COURSE though I fell in love with the first design I did... the purple nails you all saw yesterday... so I wore them all day. I couldn't even bear to take them off last night -_- So I did what any polish addict would do.... grabbed my mom and made her let me paint her nails ;) LOL Just kidding she really actually wanted me to!  She really liked my interlocking dots design so I figured I'd recreate it on her nails using some different colors. The color combo we picked is actually something I wouldn't have put together myself but I'm totally in love with it!!

Colors used:
- Sinful Colors Dancing Nails
- China Glaze Fast Track

My mom's nails grow SO fast and photograph SO good I'm super jealous :( But she sure makes for a good hand model LOL. I can't wait to use this color combo again I don't know about you guys but I think it's really beautiful :)

So what do you think?

Thanks for reading! :)
