JORD Watch Review + Nail Art

Hi guys!

I have a different sort of review for you all today. Dan from JORD Watches contacted me and asked me to review one of their watches. If you don't know who JORD is, they are a line of luxury handcrafted all-natural wood watches. I took a peek at their website and fell head over heels for the Cora Purple Heart & Pearl because I had the BEST complimentary nail art idea ;)

Ready to check it out?

For my nail art I started with a base of Essie Blanc and layered Pretty & Polished Opal over it. I applied some half moon vinyls from Stick It! Nail Vinyls and painted over everything with OPI German-icure. I removed the vinyl and added some golden dots with Maybelline Color Show Bold Gold. I sealed everything in with a layer of Seche Vite to finish it off!

I am in love not only with this manicure but this gorgeous watch! It's so comfortable to wear and the deep wood compliments almost everything!

If you want your own you can buy your JORD Watch or just check out the selection HERE!

Pretty Petals with Pretty & Polished

I'm sure you guys remember the gorgeous Sandy Shores that I reviewed just the other day by Pretty & Polished. Well I absolutely fell in love with it! I was going to wear it on its own for a little while but after I applied it the color was just begging for some dainty little daisies so who am I to take away that dream?!?!

I started this design off with a base of Pretty & Polished Sandy Shores. When that dried I painted on the daisies with a small nail art brush and white, gray, and yellow acrylic paint. I sealed everything in with a good layer of Essie Good To Go and I was finished.

I really enjoy the "messy" look to these daisies. I like that they don't look perfect and I think that it gives them some character and makes the design so much more fun. Or maybe I'm just making up excuses for my shaky hand ;) LOL Either way I loved wearing this simple design on my nails.

What about you guys? What's your favorite flower?

Thanks loves :)

Pretty & Polished August Beauty Box

Hey Guys!
*press sample*

I've got the August Beauty Box from Pretty & Polished to share with you guys today and its packed full with goodies! This month's box comes with two full sized LE polishes, Cold on the Shoulder (thermal!) and A painter Passing Through, two minis, Opal and The Saga, a mini Fruit Punch scented cuticle oil, a nail file, and a super cute watermelon fimo stick.

Starting off with the two full sized LE polishes.

- A Painter Passing Through -
A gorgeous polish packed with fun glitters. The combination reminds me of peacock-esque colors, and it's great layered over any color. Just by looking at the bottle I can see blue, light purple, purple, green, darker green, and silver in a combination of circles, hex, and micro hex glitters. Formula was great, thicker because of the glitters but super easy to work with. Two coats over Sinful Colors Let's Talk below.

- Cold on the Shoulder -
A creamy thermal thats light / medium blue when warm and shifts to a teal / green when cold.  This polish is filled with teal small and medium hex glitters with a bit of holographic micro glitters added in. The formula was buttery smooth. Three coats with top coat below.

On to the minis.

- Opal -
Another exculive shade, Opal is super packed with iridescent glitters in various sizes suspended in a clear base. The formula was great, a bit thicker but extremely workable. Two coats over Maybelline Color Show Navy Narcissist below.

- The Saga -
A creamy white crelly filled with medium red hex glitter, red bar glitter, green square glitters, and circle glitter in various sizes and colors (blue, yellow, and purple). The circles were a bit tricky to get out but storing the bottle upside down before you use it helps remedy the problem. The formula was great, thicker but applied easily. Two careful coats with top coat below.

Now for the goodies. I don't have a picture of the cuticle oil besides the one up top but I did try it out and love it! The scent isn't too strong which I enjoy because I'm extremely sensitive to smells. The oil hydrated my cuticles and worked really fast and after a few minutes my nails didn't even feel oily anymore. Win if you ask me! And the fimo stick is SO FUN! I've never used fimo before because I'm a notorious picker so nothing that's raised off of my nail lasts long at all. But the fimo watermelons were just so cute I wanted to leave them on forever. Below I've got some art to show off those cute watermelons. :)

Pretty & Polished Sandy Shore and Summer Love

Hey guys!

I've got some super gorgeous Pretty & Polished polishes to share with you today so I'll skip the small talk since these speak for themselves ;)

Sandy Shores is a gorgeous beige nude linear holographic. Seriously a nude holo, can it get much better then that? The holo is subtle under normal light but flash and sunlight really bring it out. The formula was great, nice and creamy and easy to apply. Below is three thin coats with top coat. The first photos are under normal light and the second photos are with my camera's flash. I should also note that the top coat didn't seem to dull the holo.

Sorry for the blurry pic, my camera couldn't focus on all the prettiness ;)

Summer Love is a pretty rose linear holographic. The holo is stronger in this one as opposed to Sandy Shore. You all know I'm a pink person so this one stole my heart! The formula was the same as Sandy Shore, a bit more pigmented though. Below is three thin coats with top coat. The first photos are under normal light and the second photos are with my camera's flash.

Pretty & Polished retails between $7.50USD-$9.00USD for 15mL polishes. You can buy these two pretties and many others at www.shopprettyandpolished.com. Stay up to date on all new polishes, product releases, and sales by following Pretty & Polished:

Pretty & Polished Beauty Box for July

Goooooooood morning!
And a good morning it is indeed. Today I have the Beauty Box from Pretty & Polished to share with you guys for the month of July. This is my first experience with Pretty & Polished Beauty Boxes and I am super impressed! Chels really did a fantastic job and from what I read all of the boxes are superb.

The box for July contains two exclusive full sized polishes, two minis, a sample of her new Vanilla Mint foot soak, A nail file and brush, water decals, and a nail art bow. Seriously this box is packed! Oh and she also included a discount code for July in there so make sure you don't miss out on that :)

Let's get started on the two full sized exclusive polishes.

Bioluminescense is a pretty cobalt blue sheer jelly filled with tiny blue matte glitters. I've also been told that this polish glow BLUE! Sadly, the base that I used for my swatches was too dark to get a good glow T.T and I haven't seen a good picture of the glow yet but when I find one I'll make sure to update this post with the link so you guys can see the gorgeousness! Because the polish is so sheer, I decided to layer it over a similar color (Nina Ultra Pro Blue Blaze). I really like the effect, but you can also layer three thicker coats alone for a squishy jelly look. The formula was great, thin but you still get a nice payoff of glitter with each coat. Below is two coats over blue with top coat.

Mintabie is a stunning raspberry jelly base packed with beautiful sapphire glitters and iridescent shreds along with a subtle but gorgeous raspberry / purple shimmer. Even though the base is quite sheer you can build it to opacity, or near opacity, with three careful coats. The formula was a bit thicker, just because it is so packed with glitter, but still very easy to work with. Below is three careful coats with two coat of top coat to give it a nice sheen.

Next up is the two minis.

Hubble Trouble is a great mix of multi-sized glitters in a variety of colors. Just looking at the bottle I can see bits of emerald green, gold, blue, purple, and copper just to name a few. All of the glitters are suspended in a blackened jelly base. The base is extremely sheer on this one so I'm not sure that it can be built to any sort of opacity so I decided to layer it over black. This polish would look great over any dark color, black is just always my choice because it brings out all of the gorgeous glitters. The formula was thicker on this because of all of the glitters but still very manageable. Below is two coats of Hubble Trouble over black with two coats of top coat, though the glitter still ate it and it's not as smooth as it should be. ;)

Last up for the polishes is Nova Say Nova, a beautiful duochrome that shifts from a pumpkin spice orange, to a juicy maroon, all the way to a shy olive green that you can only see at the very edges. Love, love, love this shade! The formula was perfect, buttery smooth. This polish can be worn on it's own or layered over black for a more intense color shift. I chose to wear it on it's own. Below is three thin coats with top coat.

The decals are super cute, the pack includes, hearts, stars, and lines, some that say love all in a lace-esque pattern. They were very easy to use, just dip them in water for a few seconds and the decal will slide right off of the paper backing. I also loved the nail art bow! I've never used bows before but I'm definitely going to use them again it's so cute and chunky!

I don't have the foot soak pictured here, mainly because I hate feet and I'm sure you guys don't want to see my feet ;) But I did use the new soak, it was great actually. I was a little weary about the smell because I'm very sensitive to smells and it doesn't take much for something to be overbearing and give me a headache. But I was pleasantly surprised by the subtle, sweet vanilla aroma. It wasn't so strong to give me a headache but just strong enough to be relaxing. After I pulled my feet out they were so soft! Deifnitely a win if you ask me.
