TIHC Day 5: Watermarble :)

Hey all!

So today is Day 5 for the "This is Halloween" Nail Art Challenge by Lacquer Dreams and it's watermarble! To be honest I was actually really excited for today's challenge because I love the way watermarble looks even if it is a reall pain in the butt to do. And I haven't done one in a really long time. I'm pretty proud of the way these turned out! So take a look guys :)

HNAC Day 4: blood!

Good morning everyone!

It's time for another installment of the Halloween Nail Art Challenge by Glitter Obsession!! Day 4 is blood :) I thought about doing a drip manicure that I kept seeing tutorials of but when I did my other challenge for horror movies I created a really cool way to depict blood so I figured I'd do that instead! So here you guys go!

Colors used:
- Sally Hansen Black Out
- Ms Pedicure Red

.....well I guess it still is a drip manicure, just not the kind I've been seeing tutorials of :) This look was actually really easy to do. I just painted my nails black with SH Black Out and then when it was dry I took a small paint brush, made dots diagonally down my nail and made them into drips and connected them. Then to fill in the red I dabbed kind of hard with my brush so it made divots in the red polish so it looks all gooey and liquid like :)

So what do you guys think?? The rest of the challenge is below

Thanks for reading :) and make sure you check out the other challengers below :0

Gradient loveliness :)

Hello everyone again!

So if you read my last post you know that my camera decided not to be friends with me anymore and stop working but I just got it back and its ready to go! So I just need to show you guys the mani I did last night. A couple of days or so ago Kayla of Nails by Kayla Shevonne posted a tutorial on how she gets her gradients so smooth and I decided to try it her way to see if it worked for me and guess what?! Its perfect!!!! Well, not perfect because i can always get better but it still came out pretty awesome :) Check it out!

Colors used:
- Sinful Colors Love Nails
- Sally Hansen Blue It
- Sally Hansen Black Out

Please ignore the oddly shaped index finger....

Pretty smooth right? It's so gosh darn beautiful! You guys should most definitely check out her tutorial it works so well!

There is actually going to be more added to this mani tho, I have this idea that I want to do Disney Days, once a week post a different disney movie on my nails.. would you guys like to see something like that? Or maybe would a bunch of people want to do it together? Let me know! Also can you guess which disney movie this is going to turn into?! :)

What to you guys think??

Thanks for reading :)

Sad face :(

Good morning everyone,

So I had an amazing manicure that I was really excited to show you guys today.... but it seems that my camera and I are no longer on speaking terms :( It has decided that it won't let me charge its battery and will stay one for about 2.5 seconds before turning itself off again. Darn! Well off I go to Best Buy before work to see if the nice people can fix it! Just what I wanted to do right? Nottttttt :( But oh well I need to get it fixed ASAP if you guys don't want to start seeing some lovely Iphone pictures :) I know I don't want to see them *sigh*

But anyways, good thing I had a few pictures as back up, I knew they would come in handy! This manicure that I'm about to show you I wasn't sure if I was going to show you guys at all but it seems I have no other choice lol. Ok so "framed" manicures seem to be on the rise lately, I see them everywhere and have always admired them. I've never been brave enough to actually attempt one because me and straight lines just don't work well together :) So you guys are going to have to deal with my semi-framed semi-gradient manicure instead! :) I actually do really like the concept of this idea but.... it was my first try and as we all know first try's are usually messy and not always our best work. I will definitely try this manicure again (hopefully when my camera decides to work for me again) but for now I give you guys my first try :)

Colors used:
- Orly Decades of Dysfunction
- Sinful Colors Let's Talk

Look at those purple fingers! O.O

So there you have it my "mehhh" gradient-framed-messy manicure! Hopefully I can try this again soon and show you guys a better one :)
What do you think? Do you like the idea of a framed gradient manicure??

Thanks for reading guys :) I'll update you on the camera status as soon as I can :)

***UPDATE*** My camera has been returned to me and it works! It seems there was an issue with the charger so the nice people at best buy gave me a new one for free! Woohoo :) You will most likely see a second post in the near future because i just can't wait to show you my mani from last night I'm so proud of it :)

It's here! It's here!!!!!!

My plate from vivid lacquer has arriveddddd!!!!!
Can you tell I'm excited? :)
*warning picture heavy*

Good morning everyone!!

As you read above, I bought Vivid Lacquer's VL001 plate and it came in the mail yesterday and I just could NOT wait to try the lovely designs out!! This is my first real stamping plate and it does not disappoint! I've always heard such great things about Anni and all of her products over at Vivid Lacquer :) I mean just look at the plate!

SO SHINY :)

What a cute back!

I've done two designs so far! :) The first mani I did with these plates is a Halloween plaid style, appropriate right? :) Since it's my first real attempt any mess-ups is completely because of me the plate is perfection!

Colors used:
- Sally Hansen Insta-Dry Snappy Sorbet
- Finger Paints Paper Mache
- Sally Hansen Black Out

So it's peach and not orange..... close enough :)

This next mani is a recreation of the first design I ever saw using the VL001 plate and is ultimately the reason I wanted to get the plate so badly. And of course now that I'm looking for it I can't find it online so if and of you guys know the original creator of this please let me know who it is so I can credit them :) Take a look!

Colors used:
- Finger Paints Paper Mache
- Sally Hansen Black Out
- Ms Pedicure Red

Tell me that's not adorable!!! I fell in love with this mani the minute I laid my eyes on it the first time and just knew if I ever got my hands on this plate I would have to recreate it!

So what do you guys think?? I know I'm definitely going to buy some more plates from Vivid Lacquer, current there are four plates total, click the link to go to her etsy shop!

Thanks for reading everyone :)
