Fuzzy Mittens

Brrrrrrrrrr.

Man is it freaking cold out! Yesterday it only made it to 22 degrees! Unnecessary if you ask me. But I also think winter is completely unnecessary too....

Anyways, fuzzy mittens keep our hands warm in the winter... so if we paint fuzzy mittens on our nails will it do the same?! The questions of the universe have now been answered, and the answer is NO but they sure are cute ;)

I started with a base of Enchanted Polish Flashing Lights on my pointer and pinky and a base of The Little LacquerBean Sweet Irish Cream on my middle and ring. When my middle and ring dried I applied my The Little LacquerBean mitten vinyls and sponged The Little LacquerBean Spiked Hot Chocolate over them to create the 'fuzzy' look. I peeled off the vinyls and took TLLB Sweet Irish Cream and Bundle Monster plate BM-H01 and stamped over the mittens. Finally I sealed it all in with Essie Good To Go

These nails were SO FUN to wear! Such a conversation starter LOL. I really liked how the mittens weren't crisp, they looked so much more cozy this way.

Oh and if my explanation wasn't that good... because sometimes I really suck, I have a video tutorial that will be going up on Instagram so head on over there my username is @pinkandpolishednails and give it a look! Click my name to be taken there!

What do you think?

Thanks loves :)

So Blue Without Snow

Let it snow! On my nails anyways ;)

It's no secret I'm not the biggest fan of winter... or a fan at all, but one thing I do like is the snow. I love to snowmobile and cross country ski so snow is a good thing around here. Annnnnnd it's supposed to snow today! So why not paint my nails accordingly?

I started with a base of Color Club Over the Moon. When that was dry I created the gradient using Color Club Over the Moon, China Glaze So Blue Without You, and Maybelline Color Show Navy Narcissist. When that was dry I took some white acrylic paint and a toothpick to create the dotted gradient to resemble snow. I finished off with some Poshe top coat and I'm ready for the snow!

I'm hoping to get snowed in today so let's see how that goes! If not at least I've got a snow storm on my nails ;)

How do you feel about winter?
Thanks loves :)

Blizzard Warning!

Good morning!

So some of you may not know but I live in Massachusetts and there is currently a blizzard warning out for us. I've read a few reports of snowfall up to 40 inches....that's over 3 feet! And what am I doing? Why getting ready for work of course! -_- Because people need money in a blizzard right? Grrrrr! Oh well I've got a blizzard outside and a blizzard on my nails!

Colors used:
- Wet n Wild Black Creme
- Pure Ice Silver Mercedes
- Claire's White stamping polish

I used three different Bundle Monster plates to create this "blizzard" ;) And my pinky isn't really that muddy I promise! I just love how the silver stands out on the black!

Because we are supposed to be getting this blizzard I'm anticipating my power going out... which means I may be sparse on here :( I'm keeping my fingers crossed that that isn't the case but if you don't hear from me then you know what happened.

And to all my lovely readers and bloggers out there affected by this storm, stay safe and warm!

So what do you think?

Thanks for reading guys! :)

Walking in a winter wonderland!

Good morning!

I've had the idea to do "winter wonderland" nails for a while now and I finally had the chance to try them out! I'm a little sad because it doesn't look like we are going to have any snow for Christmas this year :( But I suppose snow on my nails will help right?! :) Take a look! OH and before you say anything I KNOW my fingers are covered in glitter -_- I'm sure you all know how difficult it is to get glitter off!! LOL

Colors used:
- Wet n Wild Metallica
- China Glaze Agro
- White Acrylic Paint

I had a lot of fun doing this mani, albeit it was quite messy LOL. I really like the whole artsy / spongy / messy-ish look. It was pretty easy to create. I started out with a base of Wet n Wild Metallica and then ripped off a small piece of sponge and sponged on some messy green triangles. After that was dry I sponged on the snow at the bottom with a larger sponge dipped in white acrylic paint and then grabbed a teeny-tiny piece of sponge to do the snow on the trees.

What do you guys think?
