The Little LacquerBean "Welcome To The Country Fair" swatches!

Are you guys ready to get excited?!?

I hope that you've all heard by now that I've decided to create my own indie brand of nail polish. It's been quite a long time in the making, I really struggled with the decision on whether or not I wanted to do this but I have to say that I'm so happy that I have decided to move on with it. And after all of these months buying supplies, mixing, panning, and feeling like I had no idea what I was doing I'm so incredibly proud to say that I'm finally opening up my shop TODAY at 2pm EST!!!!

So I figured that I owed you guys some swatches of the potential pretties you can buy right?! ;) Read on to see what I've come up with! (*warning picture heavy*)

I'm just going to go in alphabetical order here and start off with my absolute favorite of the collection, Blue Ribbon Baby. Blue Ribbon Baby is a "speedway blue" polish with a linear holographic finish. The polish practically glows on your nails! This is two coats for opacity, you may want to go with three if you have long nails if you don't want any chance of VNL.

Color is a little wonky here, not quite as bright but pretty darn close ;)

Candy Apple is a bright red (candy apple ;)) polish with a slight linear holographic finish. Two coats used here for opacity and a top coat to keep it super shiny.

Falling In October Fest is a fall themed glitter topper with red, orange, yellow, orange holographic, and gold holographic various sized glitters. I mean it's basically fall in a bottle! ;) This color would look awesome layered over any color, one of my lovely swatchers, Becky from GamenGloss actually swatched FIOF over a navy blue and it looked absolutely stunning! This is two coats applied normally over Essie Penny Talk.

Goldfish In A Bag is a pretty shimmery blue polish with orange hex, orange circle, and navy blue and orange holographic glitter. The formula is a bit thinner then the others so I've used three coats, you can also layer it over a similar color for a similar effect.

Sweeter Than Sugar is a sugary sweet pale pink polish filled with holographic pink micro glitters, blue tiny glitters, and baby pink and blue hex glitters. I seriously wanted to get some cotton candy after swatching this one! ;) I used three thin coats for perfect coverage.

Tractor Pulling is a "tractor green" polish with yellow, green, and gold glitters. Remind you of a particular tractor? ;) The base is more pigmented on this one so the glitters hide a bit but I quite like the effect. This is two coats with top coat for a shiny finish.

Under The Ferris Wheel Lights is a shimmery light grey polish with various pastel glitters and a slight holographic finish. I just love the color combination on this one! The pastel offsets the grey holographic in such a beautiful way! This is two coats with top coat to keep it shiny.

So what do you guys think?! I really hope you enjoyed the swatches, I've literally poured my heart and soul into this collection LOL! And if you really liked them then remember I'm launching:

Today, September 6th, at 2pm EST!!!

And my store link is:

Thanks so much for reading guys and a special thanks to my wonderful bloggers and swatchers that are helping me out with the launch!! You guys are all the best!! :)

31DC2014 Day 6: Violet

I've almost made a week of the 31 day challenge woohooooo!!! ;)

Truth be told I'm already struggling T.T I did this mani last night at almost midnight... so sorry it's not the best LOL! I've been so crazy getting ready to open my business (which I'll be doing TODAY at 2pm EST!!!!!) I haven't had any time to paint my nails :( But the challenge must go on and so shall I!

I started this design off with Maybelline Color Show Iced Queen. Then I stamped over it using Color Club Eternal Beauty and one of my Bundle Monster plates, forgive me I can't remember which! I topped it all off with some Essie Good To Go and the design was finished!

Yes, they aren't the best, but when all else fails stamping is definitely the way to go! I hope I can find time to catch up with my manis after I launch my store. We'll see though ;) Make sure you stick around I'll have swatches of my fall collection "Welcome To The Country Fair" coming up soon!!

Thanks loves :)

31DC2014 Day 5: Blue

Blue, blue, how I love you!

When I was just a small whippersnapper my favorite color was blue. I've since graduated to the beauty that is pink and SPARKLES, but for the longest time blue was so my thing. I've still got a soft spot for it in my heart though, and there's something super special about this one... keep reading to find out what it is!

Day five for the 31DC2014 is blue if you didn't catch on! ;)

So before I tell you what colors I used for this design I should tell you what makes the blue so special..... I made it! This blue is named Blue Ribbon Baby and it's from my fall line "Welcome To The Country Fair" that is launching TOMMORROW! Eeeeeeeep! I'm so excited! I absolutely love this blue, it may be my favorite from the entire collection, it's so juicy and has just the right amount of holographic-ness :) I really hope you guys like it! And if you really, really like it you can purchase it HERE tomorrow!!! Read on to see the pretty!

Okay back to the design!

I started off with a base of Color Club Cosmic Fate. When it dried I cut out thin triangles of tape, applied them to my nails, and used The Little LacquerBean (<-ME;)) Blue Ribbon Baby on top. I peeled the tape off to reveal small triangles of CC Cosmic Fate. I sealed everything in with some Essie Good To Go and the design was finished!

Ahh I'm so excited to finally share this color with you guys! And keep an eye out because I will be posting proper swatches of the whole collection either later on today of tomorrow. I hope you guys like them and I hope that maybe there's a place in your home for some of my pretties!

Don't forget! Post a link to your 31DC2014 Day 5: blue nails in the comments below!!

Thanks so much loves :)

31DC2014 Day 4: Green

What do you think of when you think of green? Limes? Grapes? Leaves? Clovers or watermelons?

Me? The first thing that always comes to my mind is luscious green grass. And that's exactly what I did for day three of the 31DC2014, green grass, with flowers of course!

Now, there's actually quite a few green polishes used here but you can't really tell! I started off with a base of Blackheart Beauty Jealous Type. When it was dry I used OPI You Are So Outta Lime!, China Glaze Con-Fused?, China Glaze Running In Circles, Maybelline Color Show Tenacious Teal and a small nail art brush to add tiny vertical dashes all over the nails until I filled them completely. I sandwiched all it in with another thin coat of Blackheart Beauty Jealous Type so you could just see bits and pieces poking through. Then I took white acrylic paint and Lime Crime Crema De Limon to create the daisies on top. I sealed it all in with some Essie Good To Go and the design was finished.

I can almost smell that fresh cut grass when I look at these nails! And I'm really happy with how the base turned out.

Okay it's your turn! Post the link to your post for the 31DC2014 Day 4: green in the comments!

31DC2014 Day 3: Yellow

Woah.

I mean am I the only one surprised I've made it this far? LOL I kid now but for real this is going to be a struggle. Once the easy color ones are out of the way it's just going to get more difficult to keep up.

So let's enjoy it while it's easy! Day three of the 31DC2014 is yellow. I have to confess, I don't really love yellow nails, I don't know what it is really but yellow polish just really isn't my thing. But that's what this challenge is about right? Venturing out of your comfort zone :)

I started off this design with Color Club Look, Don't Tusk. When it dried I free handed thick yellow stripes with Lime Crime Crema De Limon. Then I used a small nail art brush and OPI You're So Flippy Floppy and added in the squares where the yellow lines crossed. I finished off the design with a generous coat of Essie Good To Go.

Surprisingly I didn't hate these as much as I thought I was going to. I *almost* even like this yellow look! Almost... don't get too excited ;) LOL

Post your links to your posts for the 31DC2014 yellow theme in the comments!

31DC2014 Day 2: Orange

Happy day 2 of the #31DC2014!

Woohoo I've made it! *happy dance* ;) The theme for today is orange. I totally wanted to go simple with these but all I could picture in my head was tiger stripes so..... these were born!

I started off with a base of China Glaze Orange Knockout. When it dried I sponged Color Club Look, Don't Tusk in the center of each nail. I tried to keep it light so that some of the orange would poke through for a softer look. Then I used Wet n Wild Black Creme and a small nail art brush for some simple tiger stripes. I topped it all off with some Essie Good To Go and the design was finished.

Okay guys I totally fell in love with these!! I'm so sad that I have to take them off to do the next challenge day! T.T Well at least I'll have these pictures forever!! ;) LOL

Alright guys I'll be doing this for every day that I participate in the challenge, if you are doing the challenge as well post a link to your post in the comments and I'll check them all out!!

Thanks loves :)

31DC2014 Day 1: Red

Uh Oh!

It's that time again! Every September the 31 Day Challenge rolls around, and every year I let it just roll on by ;) The first challenge I ever did when I started blogging was the 31 Day Challenge and man it was so hard!

But, I figure it's time for me to give it another shot. I can't guarantee that I'll be able to do every day because I'm going to be opening up my indie shop soon but I'll give it my best try for you guys!

On to day one then: Red Nails :)

I started off this design with a beauty, Victoria's Secret Boudoir, a delicious deep red with a stunning shimmer. When it dried I used Wet n Wild Black Creme and OPI This Gown Need A Crown and created the thin lines at the free edge. I applied some Essie Good To Go on top to finish it off.

I really enjoy the simple look to these nails, they were super easy to create and the final look is quite elegant in my opinion.

So what do you think guys? Are you participating in the 31 Day Challenge? If you are drop a link to your post in the comments and I'll be sure to check it out!!

Thanks loves :)
