Merry Blah-mas

Hello pretties

I hope you don't mind if I have a little pity party for a second here... I know I've been pretty absent from this blog and to be honest with you I haven't even had my nails painted for a while now. Nothing seems to stand out to me and anything I paint on my nails I immediately take off because I hate it. I can't seem to get out of this funk! I think it's because I've been so busy working extra hours at work, going to nail school, and trying to get my Christmas shopping done. I also seem to be having a bit of seasonal depression, not that I'm using that as a crutch but because I want you guys to know what's been up with me. I've painted a few Christmas designs which I'm not happy with but I'm still going to show on this blog because I don't want to abandon you! I've been working hard lately to get myself to a better place and slowly I think I'm getting there. Maybe I'll try to paint my nails again tomorrow and actually like what I paint!! *fingers crossed* ;)

Now I don't want you guys to think I'm a debbie downer now because I'm still bubbly old me, I've just had a few too many bubbles popped lately ;) I do really love the Christmas season and I hope to be able to bust some awesome Christmas designs out soon! So let's get back to this design... the most acceptable of designs I've painted lately :)

I started this design off with a base of Azature White. When my base was dry I painted on the red and green stripes using red and green acrylic paint. Finally I topped it off with some China Glaze Fairy Dust and Poshe. Ta daaaaaa!

Not too bad but I know I can do better, I'm a glutton for punishment and I must challenge myself!! I can't figure out why I'm lacking such inspiration this year :( So I'm asking you guys! What do you want to see me paint this holiday season? Challenge me loves! :)

Thanks again for sticking with me! You are all the best followers ever and I mean that!! :)

  1. I really like this, I think it is the green being there instead of it just being red and white candy cane.
How about something similar in white base with blue and silver?
This time of year can be trying, so don't feel bad...I am bailing on the office potluck and gift exchange this year, I just don't feel like it, I've had a persistent cold all month and people are rubbing me the wrong way lately (outside of home). :O !

  2. I don't really like this time of year either - would prefer to hibernate from mid November to the end of January :)
But those nails really should cheer you up - they are pretty!

  3. You nails look fab, dahling! You, however, sound burned out & really tired from being on the run all the time. Take some time for your precious self & get a massage or a mani/pedi or whatever will have you oozing into a relaxed puddle. Yes, you can do the mani/pedi yourself...the point is to do something for YOU that feels good & helps you relax so you have the energy & enthusiasm to get you thru the rest of 2013 & looking forward to 2014. You're worth it!
