A Halloween Chevron

Hey guys!

It's getting so close to Halloween! Are you going to dress up? I have to where I work but I'm super excited about my costume... I'm going as the Queen of Hearts! I made my own tutu and everything ;) Want to know what makes it even better? My dogs are going to be playing cards LOL! Now to convince my boss that I need to take them with me... if only ;)

Anyways! I've got another Halloween-y manicure today, an orange, purple, and black chevron manicure! Let's get started!

I started out with a base of Lime Crime Peaches <3 Cream, I know this is more of a peach shade but I'm just going to go with 'creamsicle' today LOL! Then I used my nail vinyls from The Little LacquerBean (there's a 40% off coupon going right now! Use code: makeovr40!!!!) and China Glaze Bizarre Blurple and Color Club Beyond. I sealed it all in with Essie Good To Go and that's it.

I really love chevron manicures, they're simple but when you use nail vinyls you can get such crisp lines. I just love the look!

What do you guys think?

Thanks loves :)

Inspiration Nation: Halloween Edition

Hey guys!

I did that whole disappearing thing again didn't I? Poop. Sorry guys! I've been juggling so many things lately that blogging has kind of taken a back seat. I'm working hard on my line, The Little LacquerBean and there's some exciting things that are going to be happening with it so keep an eye out!

Anyways let's get on to the nails! I'm sure most of you know Kelli from The Nail Polish Challenge, and if you don't you have to immediately click that link to see because she's amazing!! These nails are inspired by a manicure that she did recently, a mattified dotticure. I seriously fell in love with the nails she did and I loved her color combination, I really wanted to recreate them using the same colors but since it's almost Halloween I thought that a themed manicure would be fun!

Okay so you're totally going to be mad at me but I literally cannot remember what I used for a base... I really want to say Lime Crime Milky Ways but I just don't know! The lighting is a little off so I'm not sure if it's actually white. Hmmmm, well it will work with either color ;) Then I used Wet n Wild Black Creme, Lime Crime Pastelchio, and Sinful Colors Citrine along with a large dotting tool to create the dots. I applied Essie Good To Go before my matte top coat to prevent it from smearing my dots. And when it dried I used NYC Matte Me Crazy to finish it off!

What do you think guys? I know it's not even close to the amazingness of Kelli's but I'm seriously digging this mattified mani!

What's your favorite design to mattify?

Bloody Halloween

Happy Wednesday!!

How are you guys doing today? I'm kind of moping around, I seem to be getting another cold... thanks to my boyfriend! He always says its allergies.... LIAR -_- Lol!! But I'm chugging orange juice and honey like it's going out of style so maybe I can stop it ;) Hopefully anyways!

But let's get to the real reason you guys are here... nails! I've been doing some more cutesy Halloween designs lately but I think it's time for something a bit more gory don't ya think? So how about some blood splatter nails?!

I started this design off with Essie Blanc. When it dried I used OPI Big Apple Red and a straw to create the blood splatters. I cleaned up and sealed everything in with Essie Good To Go and that was it!

What do you think?! I was pleasantly surprised at how easy these were to create, they took me about 30 minutes from start to finish and the final result is just SO cool! I definitely have to try this in some other color combinations, any suggestions??

Thanks loves! :)

Friendly Frankenstein

What's Halloween without any Frankenstein nails!?!

Not Halloween I can tell you that ;)

Ready to get started?

I started off with a base of The Little LacquerBean Radioactive Slime. With it dried I took black acrylic paint and a small nail art brush to create the french tips and messy stitches. On my ring finger I used assorted acrylic paints to create the cute little Frankenstein that I recreated form THIS image. A sealed everything in with some Essie Good To Go and that was all!

Ahhh he's so cute I just want to squeeze him!!! ;) LOL No but really I love cute Halloween things as opposed to scary things. I think it's because I'm better at creating cute, cartoon-ish style nails.

What about you guys, what's your favorite Halloween character?

Thanks loves :)

Halloween with Bundle Monster

Hey guys!

Ready for some more Halloween nails? I figured it's been a while since I've done any stamping manicures so I took out the stamping plates to see what I could create! Bundle Monster has so many amazing designs, and even s few plates dedicated to just Halloween! Ready to check out what I did?

I started off with a base of The Little LacquerBean Glow-Stly. When it dried I used the cool Halloween text image on Bundle Monster BM-H07 and L.A Colors Black. I sealed it all in with Essie Good To Go and that's it!

Ooooooh holo-y goodness!

I actually like how the image didn't transfer cleanly on each nail, I think it gives it an even spookier look! What do you think?

Oh! And if you want to purchase Glow-Stly there's never been a better time, I'm running a 50% off sale in my store to get rid of my older style bottles! Plus for every bottle you purchase your name gets put into a raffle and when I run out of bottles I will randomly select one winner to receive 2 polishes of their choice from my shop for free!! Spooky Spiderwebs

IT'S TIME!

It's time. It's time. It's time. It's time..... for Halloween nails!!!

Halloween has got to be one of the best times of the year for nail art, there are so many different things to do! I've got a couple ideas in my head so keep an eye out for some spooky designs like the one I created today: spiderwebs!!

I have to confess, I took these nails off almost as soon as I finished them, it's not that I didn't like them, I actually loved them! But I am terrified of spiders! ;) Though it is the time of the year so spiderwebs it is!

I started off with a base of Wet n Wild Black Creme. When it died I took a small nail art brush and some white acrylic paint to create the webs. I sealed it all in with Essie Good To Go and that's it!

Even though I hate spiders I loved these nails!! I'm so excited that I got the lines thin enough so that the spiderweb looked delicate... to an extent LOL!

What do you guys think? What do you want to see for nail art this Halloween??

Thanks loves :)

Going Pink with Fierce and Hope

Hey guys!

As you know, October is Breast Cancer Awareness month. As a business owner I wanted to take this time to do something good towards breast cancer research and so I created Fierce and Hope. Fierce is a glitter topper packed with holographic pink, neon pink, and iridescent glitters and hope is a medium pink linear holographic polish. Both polishes are available in my store (click HERE to be redirected!) and one dollar of each polish purchased is donated to the Breast Cancer Foundation. It doesn't seem like much but trust me, every penny counts!

Want to know something cool? Fierce and Hope also compliment each other super well! I've chosen to create a glitter gradient manicure using both Fierce and Hope so you guys can see their beauty together ;)

I started off with a base of The Little LacquerBean Hope. When it dried I used TLLB Fierce to create the glitter gradient on top. I sealed it all in with a coat of Essie Good To Go and that's it!

Oh and I know the photos look a bit different, I got a new lens for my camera and decided to change up my set up and do away with the light box for a more professional set up.... not sure I like it quite yet but I'm going to play around with it a little more ;) Let me know what you guys think!

I just love how sparkly this manicure is!! The iridescent glitters capture even the smallest amount of light and create such a beautiful effect!

What do you guys think? What's your go to pink polish?

Thanks loves :)

I've decided on some spooky, slimy drips today showcasing Radioactive Slime from my Halloween collection now available at my store! (click HERE to go check them out!) Ready to find out how I created this look?

I started off with a base of Wet N Wild Black Creme. Then I went back with some white acrylic paint and a small nail art brush to create the drips. After that dried I went back over the with with The Little LacquerBean Radioactive Slime. I sealed it all in with some Essie Good To Go and that was it!

hmmmm awkward hand pose? Check!

Wanna know the best part? IT GLOWS IN THE DARK!

Love love love this look!! Radioactive Slime glows so well my nails were glowing all night long!!!

Chevron Stamping

Hey guys!

Chevrons have been all the rage lately, with so many people selling nail vinyls (including myself ;)) there's such a great variety to choose from and they really make creating manicures like this so easy!!

But I want to show you guys another alternative for chevron nails... stamping! Not that I want you guys to stop buying my nails vinyls! ;)LOL But in some ways stamping can be even easier! Wanna see the look??

I started off with a base of Wet n Wild Black Creme. Then I added a layer of The Little LacquerBean Glow-Stly on top. When that was dry I stamped the chevrons on my nails using L.A Colors Black and Bundle Monster's plate BM-423. I sealed it all in with Essie Good To Go and that's it!

I just love the way that Glow-Stly can bring any manicure up to a super sparkly level! Manicure looking a little boring? Throw some Glow-Stly on top and you'll be entertained for hours! Not only is it super holographic, it also glows in the dark!! Endless fun ;)

What do you guys think?

Thanks loves :)

Chicken Little

Chickenz.

Why? Because chickens is all that there is to life.

No but seriously these chickens are so darn cute you'll start to love them too! Want to know how I created them? Keep on reading then...

I started out with a base of Essie Nice Is Nice. When it was dry I took acrylic paint in various colors (pink, blue, dark purple, yellow, red, black, and white) to create the chickens. I sealed them in with some Essie Good To Go and to finish it off I added NYC Matte Me Crazy on top. Glossy photos below as well. :)

I am really really loving this look, I mean I'm a bit biased because of my love for chickens ;) But let me know what you guys think! Would you like more cartoon-y designs like this?

Thanks loves :)
