Born Pretty Store Diamond 'Glequin' Glitters

Hello lovelies!

I've got something pretty cool for you guys today :) The wonderful Daisy from the Born Pretty Store was kind enough to send me some diamond 'glequin' glitters for review. If you haven't heard of the Born Pretty Store it's an online store that sells quite a lot of different nail art supplies for really great prices. I actually have regular hexagon glequins from them from a while ago but I was really excited to try the diamond ones. There's so many possibilities! So let's check them out shall we? ;)

The glitters are super small: 3X3.3cm and come in a pot filled to the top! Seriously I don't think I'm ever going to run out of these even if I used them in every manicure I do for 20 years! The ones I received are a pretty red that look kind of orange in some light. The way I use them is I use a toothpick to pick up the individual glitters and place them on my nail with clear nail polish... it takes quite a while but your nails are super sparkly when you're finished!! B)

Loved this! I'm actually way too embarrassed to tell you how many layers of top coat I have on here.... somewhere around 6ish O.O lol! Not that it needs that many for these glitters to be smooth because they lay really flat on your nail, it's just every time I finished a nail I'd top coat them all... not really sure why guess I just wasn't thinking ;) The only issue I had with these glitters was that a bunch of them get stuck together in the pot so it gets to be kind of a mess trying to get the little glitters to separate. Just means that they take a little longer to use. :)

The Diamond Nail Art Glitter Glequins come in 10 really pretty colors and can be purchased HERE for only $2.38!

If you want to buy this or any of the Born Pretty Store's awesome nail art supplies don't go yet! I have a coupon for you so use it!! ;)

What do you think of all these different kinds of 'glequins'? Fun for nail art or too much work?
Thanks cupcakes :)

Let's get BLINGY!

Good morning!

This morning your all going to get another dose of momma nails!! This is quite a simple mani but I'm totally in love with it!! You all know me and shiny things ;) LOL

Anyways my mom was just looking for something simple but eye catching at the same time... Impossible you say?! Pfft I laugh in the face of impossible!! Haha... Am I starting to sound crazy? Oops ;) Ok mini rant done let's look at some momma nails!

Colors used:
- Maybelline Color Show Bold Gold

Loving it! This look was pretty simple to create I just used glequins that I bought from the Born Pretty Store and applied them with a toothpick to her pointer nail. Add some top coat and you're done! I'm starting to have a small obsession with glequins... actually make that a rather large obsession ;) I only have silver and gold for now but I definitely need to go buy some more colors!

So what do you guys think? Too subtle for you or would you rock it to work like my mom did?

Thanks for reading and don't forget my awesome GIVEAWAY or my 12 DAYS OF CHRISTMAS nail art challenge! You guys gotta join!!

Green with envy and some nail art too!

Good morning!! Does everyone have a candy hangover? ;)

I hope you all had a fun Halloween yesterday I know I had a blast at my work! I can't believe it's already November first though I mean where the heck did the time go?! Yikes!

So to start off this November I wanted to showcase a color that I recently picked up and fell in love with!! Unfortunately this is a very camera shy color :( This color is... Sinful Colors San Francisco! I picked this beauty up during Walgreen's .99 cent sale and boy am I happy I did!

Like I said this baby didn't want to photograph well so I had to tweak the pictures quite a bit, the match isn't perfect, but it's better then it was :) And because you all know I can't leave anything alone I added some lovely glequins (as named by the lovely Nailasaurus)! Yay! Take a look!

not sure why my pointer finger got all bubbly like that :(

San Francisco is a beautiful emerald green with a very slight gold shimmer. It's a little on the sheer side but can be built up to opacity in about four thin coats. The formula was really nice, not thick but not thin enough that it floods the cuticles real easy. In real life it's a little bit of a deeper, richer green. I am SO in love with this color it almost knocked out my all time favorite, Sinful Colors Let's Talk, a gorgeous royal purple :)

So what do you guys think? I love the silver glequins paired with San Francisco

Make sure you come back tomorrow, my new challenge The Lazy 15, starts!

Under the sea!

Hi guys :)

I'm really excited to show you all my mani for today! It's mermaid inspired because that's the first thing I thought of when I picked up a new polish I bought the other day, that polish being Claire's Drops of Jupiter which is part of their Starstruck Collection. I wish I had taken a picture of just the polish because it's beautiful! Although it's slightly more beautiful in the bottle because it is a lovely teal with a purple duochrome that doesn't seem to want to transfer onto the nail too well. It's still pretty none the less :) Look at what I came up with :)

Colors used:
- Sally Hansen Golden-I
- Claire's Drops of Jupiter

You can't see it well but I did stamp over Drops of Jupiter with BM-201 using Sally Hansen Golden-I. It's subtle but very pretty :) I did the half moons using the paper hole protectors and then added the "glequins" (as Sam over at The Nailasaurus brilliantly made up :)) using some clear polish and a toothpick.

I really love how these came out!! What do you guys think???
