Nude-y Kats

Good morning!!

Don't lie... I know you clicked on the post because of the title ;) LOL Sorry I just couldn't resist! And I couldn't think of a better name for my mani :) I've been dying to do some nude ikats lately and just haven't had the chance to BUT it snowed last night so I didn't go anywhere which meant lots of time for nails! Woohoo!!! Therefore I finally got around to doing them wanna see? Well scroll down! :)

Colors used:
- Lime Crime Milky Ways
- Zoya Zuza
- Stripe Rite Striper in Black
- Kiss Striper in White

So glad I finally got around to doing them! Too bad as soon as I finished I washed a dish and RUINED them! T.T UGH I was very upset! LOL Oh well it gave me a chance to do another mani I suppose. I'll be revisiting nude ikats soon though I can tell you guys that! Now to the next want... tribal nails. Not sure I can pull those off but I'm certainly going to try so stick around!

So what do you guys think?

Thanks for reading! :)

One ikat, two ikat, three ikat, four...

Happy Sunday everyone!!

I hope you are all having a fantastic weekend!! :) So I know I posted about my very first ikat just the other day and you all probably don't want to see the same design so soon but I just couldn't resist!! I finally got around to playing with my polish and put together a color combo I just love! Take a look :)

Colors used:
- Sally Hansen Teal Steel
- Pure Ice Wild Thing
- White Striper Polish
- Black Striper Polish

I'm just going to take a second to talk about the beauty that is Sally Hansen Teal Steel :) I am so in love with this color although it's not teal at all but a beautiful mid-tone blue! Unfortunately it's really sheer, it took me 5 coat just to get rid of most of my VNL :( BUT let me tell you about the deal I got on these Sally Hansens.

So the other day I went to my local Kmart and obviously I went straight for the polish section :) I was looking for a new yellow to replace my old practically empty one when I saw one in the clearance bin and boy was I shocked when I saw that the sticker read .49! WHAT?! So for the heck of it I decided to scan all of the Sally Hansen's that look like the yellow I picked up and THEY WERE ALL .49!!! So you know I cleared out the whole display ;)

I'd advise if any of you live near a Kmart GO! You might just find some .49 wonders :)

Ok back to my design! What do you guys think?!

Thanks all for reading and look for some ghosts and gradients on here tomorrow! :)

My very first ikat!!

Good morning everyone!!

Well we've made it over the hump and are on our way to the weekend hoorah!! I hope you guys are having a great week I know I can't wait for mine to be over so I can play with some more polish! If only I didn't have to work I could play all day *sigh* Oh well!

I'm really excited to show you guys my mani today. I've been wanting to try the ikat design for a long time now but always put it on the back burner because I thought it would be too difficult and time consuming. But just a few days ago I was talking with the lovely Emily from Very Emily who does an absolutely fantastic ikat design among other amazing things (Seriously check her blog out she's super awesome!!! :)) and she was kind enough to send me a tutorial on how she does her ikat design. Her tutorial was so simple it made doing these nails a breeze! I can't wait to experiment with other colors to see how well they go together in this design! So take a look at my very first ikat design wooooo!!! :)

Colors used:
- Sinful Colors Mint Apple
- Sally Hansen Insta-Dri Snappy Sorbet
- Kiss Nail Art Striper in Black

My striper polish was almost gone while I was doing these nails so unfortunately it got pretty goopey about half-way through these but I don't think you can really tell ;) I'm so proud of the way these came out and they were so much easier then I thought they were going to be!

So what do you guys think?

Thanks for reading guys and don't forget to check out Emily's blog at Very Emily I can assure you you won't be disappointed!! :)
