Happy Thanksgiving!

It's finally here!

Thanksgiving is finally here and all I can say is man, I'm SO ready for some turkey!!

Of course you all know I procrastinated until this morning to create my Thanksgiving nails and I wanted to do something great and you know I had issues and got super pissed off. But, after a few hours I've finally finished! And with a grumbling tummy I'd like to show you all my Thanksgiving nails for this year!

I started off with a base of Color Club Cosmic Fate, I've been using this color so much lately, it's such a beautiful fall color! When that dried I created everything else with various acrylic paints. When I finished I sealed everything in with two generous coats of Essie Good To Go to get a great shine.

snooooooop!
While these nails really gave me an issue, I'm happy that I finally got them done because I love them! Charlie Brown is one of my favorite things to watch around the holidays so I always try to fit in one manicure dedicated the them.

What do you think guys? What are you wearing on your nails today?

I hope all of you that celebrate Thanksgiving have a wonderful day filled with food, family, fun, and of course so much love.

If you're on instagram tag me #pinkandpolishedthanksgiving so I can check out your Thanksgiving nails!!

Thanks loves :)

Chicken Little

Chickenz.

Why? Because chickens is all that there is to life.

No but seriously these chickens are so darn cute you'll start to love them too! Want to know how I created them? Keep on reading then...

I started out with a base of Essie Nice Is Nice. When it was dry I took acrylic paint in various colors (pink, blue, dark purple, yellow, red, black, and white) to create the chickens. I sealed them in with some Essie Good To Go and to finish it off I added NYC Matte Me Crazy on top. Glossy photos below as well. :)

I am really really loving this look, I mean I'm a bit biased because of my love for chickens ;) But let me know what you guys think! Would you like more cartoon-y designs like this?

Thanks loves :)

I scream for ice cream!

Who doesn't love a delicious ice cream on a hot summer day?

I know I do!

You know what else I love? Melty ice cream cones on my nails to accompany that tasty treat ;)

Let's get started! I started these yummy nails with a base of China Glaze Fast Track. When it dried I created the cone with brown acrylic paint. I used a large dotting tool and a nail art brush to create the drips with light pink acrylic paint and then painted on the sprinkles with a tooth pick and white, pink, blue, and green acrylic paint. I finished it off with a generous coat of Essie Good To Go.

Okay so am I the only one that really wants ice cream now?! I almost painted my favorite flavor Maine Black Bear but the classic strawberry never goes out of style. Maybe next time ;)

What about you guys, what's your favorite ice cream flavor?

Thanks loves :)

You can stand under my Umbr-ella ella ella

Rolling along on the nub train all aboard!!!!

So I'm still growing out my little nubbies, I will be for a while :( But the nail art will never stop!

I was looking at some more fabric swatches to get some inspiration again and came across this adorable fabric that had little umbrellas all over it and I just knew I needed to do some umbrella nails! So let's get the look started shall we?!

I started with a base of OPI Alpine Snow on all of my nails. Then I used some light blue acrylic paints to paint little rain drops in the background although I am aware that you can't see them at all -_- Trust me they are there! Then I used various acrylic paints to create the umbrellas. I top coated with NYC Matte Me Crazy because I just felt they needed that matte finish :) Check them out!

Oh man I'm totally in love with these LOL! I don't know where I can get that fabric but I just have to get my nubs on it! The umbrellas were surprisingly easy to create and I wore this look for a few days before I could bare to take them off! ;)

What do you think?
Thanks loves :)

Happy Thanksgiving!

Happy Thanksgiving to all my little turkeys that celebrate!! :)

Thanksgiving is one of my favorite holidays, food and family always go so well together! You know what else goes great together? Teddy bear pilgrims and turkeys!! Yes, you heard [read?] me right! LOL! I wanted to do some cool nail art for Thanksgiving and I saw THIS photo online and knew I had to use it as inspiration!

I started with a gradient of Azature White and Pure Ice Gold Dust. I painted the teddy bear pilgrim and turkey using acrylic paints and the leaf designs with China Glaze Harvest Moon. I used NYC Matte Me Crazy for a flat finish and viola! Finished :)

AND you guys get a special Thanksgiving treat, my 'Cinderella hand' ;) My nails are super short on my right hand because I broke one yesterday :( But oh well I loved this design too much to resist!!

What do you think?!

I like to take times like these and reflect on what I'm grateful for. I'm so grateful for my family, friends, and my boyfriend but there is another thing, or things, that takes a special place in my heart. I am so truly grateful for all of YOU. Every one of you that comes here and reads my little blog are the reason I do what I do. I paint my nails because I want to share with all of you my love for polish. Your comments and just the pure fact that you stick with me through all of my ramblings and my slightly crazy moments makes all of the time I put in to this blog worth it. I don't ever want to take any of you for granted because without all of you this blog wouldn't be the source of true happiness that it is. So thank YOU from the bottom of my heart :)

I hope you all have a wonderful Thanksgiving and I hope you stop by again soon ;)

Thanks lovelies!

Pumpkin gradient-ed claws

Hello pumpkins!

Speaking of pumpkins... Halloween is never complete without at least one pumpkin manicure am I right?! I'm hoping to be able to create one or so more pumpkin manicure before the hallows-eve is upon us ;)

But let's talk about this one shall we?

I started off with a base of Wet'n'Wild Black Creme. When that was dry I taped off triangles in the middle of my nail and did one coat of Azature White. Then I sponged a gradient over that using China Glaze Bizarre Blurple and Orange Knockout. I drew the pumpkins on using acrylic paint. A little Poshe top coat and it was finished!

Look at me getting all creative and stuff with my pictures! ;)

And here's a bonus 'before' picture right before the pumpkins were painted on :) I love this "claw" look!

What do you think? Do you love Halloween? What's your favorite part??

And don't forget guys my One-Year Birthday Bash Multi-Blogger GIVEAWAY is ending SOON! Make sure you get your entries in!!!! Just click the link above :)

Born Pretty Store Tribal Candy Color Frosted Matte Nail Polish

Hello everyone!

I've got a super gorgeous and bright nail polish to share with you guys today! The Born Pretty Store keeps offering new things and I'm totally loving it! They seem to continue to expand their nail polishes and the one I'm reviewing today is their Tribal Candy Color Frosted Matte Nail Polish in color #11.

Color #11 is a canary yellow polish that dries to a matte finish. The formula was a bit tricky to deal with, it's pretty watery so be careful not to flood your cuticles. Also, make sure you leave enough time between coats because if not the polish will drag and get kind of goopy... is that even a word? LOL! It didn't dry as quickly as most of the matte polishes I use do but it still dried quicker then normal polish. Below is 3 careful coats of #11 and no top coat so you can see the pretty matte finish. :)

How cute is this bottle?!
Overall I'm quite pleased with this polish. I just needed to acquire some patience for the application ;) The only thing I wish it had was an actually name not just #11 but oh well!

The Tribal Candy Color Frosted Matte Nail Polishes retail for $4.36USD and come in 20 pretty shades. You can purchase them HERE or anything else from the Born Pretty Store at www.bornprettystore.com. Keep up with new products and news by following them!

Make sure you use my coupon for 10% off when you go!

Thanks so much loves! :)

This is Halloween

Hi pumpkins

Well, it's that time of year again! I love October because that means Halloween nail designs! You know pumpkins, spiderwebs, black cats and all that good stuff ;) Hopefully I'll be able to get a bunch in this year before the 31st comes.

To kick off my first Halloween design of the year I wanted to do something that I haven't done before. I see Nightmare Before Christmas nails all over the interwebz and felt the need to give them a shot myself. I have to say I'm pretty happy with the way these turned out so make sure you take a look :)

I started with a base of Wet'n'Wild Black Creme on my thumb, middle, and ring finger. On my index and pinky I used Azature White. I freehanded the black stripes on my index and pinky and painted the rest of the details on with acrylic paints. I had to use two coats of top coat to smooth everything out.

Awwww Zero! :)

I'm still experimenting with my photos, I really love the soft feel to these ones, I'm not sure if they are too washed out but the polish colors are true to life. So we shall see! ;)

But these nails we're super fun and I almost couldn't bear to take them off! I can't wait to do some more Halloween designs so keep a close watch for the next one!

Thanks so much lovelies :)

Hello loves!

I've got a super fun post for you guys today, especially if you love glow in the dark stuff! ;) Daisy from the Born Pretty Store was kind enough to send me these really cool glow in the dark water decals to show you guys. The ones I chose were supposed to be french tip designs but I decided to change it up a bit and show you that they can be versatile too!

Cut the Rope!

Happy Sunday cupcakes!!

I hope you all are having a fantastic weekend! I've come down with my first cold of the season booooo!! :( But I'm trying to make the best of it and enjoy this beautiful Fall weather. I've got some really cool nails to show you guys today though!

I've been getting more and more into nail art lately and have been trying to challenge myself. I always have problems with coming up with inspiration for my nail art so I took to the app store and found this adorable app called Cut the Rope. It involves feeding this little green dude candy by swiping your finger across the screen to cut the rope the candy is attached to... can you say addicting?!? LOL

So after I played the game... for a few hours ;) I decided to do some nail art inspired by it! I won't explain how it did it because that would be a very long explanation lol! The base for the art is all polish and the art is mainly acrylic paints.

Loved this so much! It did take me quite a while, around 3 hours I think, but I think it was totally worth it! I wore this design for 4 days before I could even bare to take it off! ;)

And here's a bonus pic of the app!

Isn't he just adorable?!

What do you guys think?
Thanks for reading lovelies! Now excuse me while my tissues and I go take a walk in the sunshine! ;)

Mish Mash Challenge: Music

Happy Wednesday lovelies!!

I'm sure you guys all know what Wednesdays mean around here right? Mish Mash Challenge time!!! Woohoo! Today's theme is Music. I actually wasn't really looking forward to today's theme because I had no idea what to do. I thought about picking a song to illustrate but then I couldn't think of a song. Then I thought maybe a cd cover... but all the music I listen to have people on their covers -_-

So how about some music note nail art instead? LOL

To start off this look I used a base of OPI My Boyfriend Scales Walls. When that was dry I took my nail art brush and some acrylic paint to create all of the designs on my nails. I actually got my inspiration for my ring finger HERE. Then I added a layer of China Glaze Fairy Dust because every mani needs to sparkle!! ;) Add some Poshe after that and this look was finished!

For not being excited for this challenge day I'm actually really happy with the way this turned out. I haven't done nail art like this in a while so it felt good being able to sit down and spend time on this mani.

What do you guys think? What's your favorite kind of music?
Thanks so much for stopping by and don't forget to check out everyone else's designs for today I can't wait to see how everyone interpreted today's theme! :)
