Tear Drop Patterned Nails

I've been so into abstract / patterned nails lately. It's really renewed my love of free hand nail art and I'm so glad because I am SO proud of these nails! I got my inspiration for this abstract tear drop design from a pattern on Pinterest, are you ready to see what I came up with?!

I started this design off with a base of Color Club Nail Robi on my middle and ring fingers, Maybelline Color Show Iced Queen on my index, and OPI This Gown Needs A Crown on my pinky. I created the tear drop design using white and light purple acrylic paints and a small flat nail art brush. I sealed everything in with a layer of Seche Vite and that was it.

I really am just so in love with these nails! I realize that I say that with almost every design but I'm totally serious this time!!! I definitely want to try this pattern again in some different color combinations. When kind of colors would you guys like to see?! I'm thinking a pretty mint with black and white tear drops!

Lots of Large Dots

Hi guys!

I'm really loving dotticures lately. They're so easy to create and you can do almost anything with them! I've chosen to super size them this time though! Keep reading to see what I came up with.

I started off with a base of Sally Hansen Hard As Nails Heart of Stone. When it dried I used a large dotting tool and Sinful Color Snow Me White, China Glaze Pool Party, Essie Boom Boom Room and OPI Malaga Wine to create the large dots. I sealed everything in with some Seche Vite and added a final layer of NYC Matte Me Crazy for a flat finish.

I so love these! I love how he kind of look like bubble gum balls! I really want to experiment with dots some more so if you guys have any suggestions please let me know in the comments!

I hope you're all having a lovely week! Keep an eye out on my Instagram and YouTube later today for tutorials on this look!

Geometric Stripe Nails

Hi everyone!

I've got some super fun nails to share with you guys today. This manicure was one of those 'I have no idea where I'm going but I'm just going to keep truckin' LOL I actually really love the way they came out. I was inspired by a pattern online, I wish I could find it but it's seemingly disappeared! Anyways, check out what I came up with!

I started out with a base of LynBDesigns Nightmare Revisited. Then I applied some skinny straight nail vinyls and painted over them with Essie Boom Boom Room. I peeled off the vinyls and added a dot of LynBDesigns Nightmare Revisited in the center of each nail. Finally I sealed it all in with a layer of Seche Vite

I love how you can see the sparkle of Nightmare Revisited peeking through the pink cream. These were so stunning in the sunlight I'm sad I didn't get a chance to take a photo to show you guys!

What do you think?

Twinsie Tuesday: Pinterest Inspiration

Oh gosh I'm so late! Again -_-

I was really excited about this prompt, I absolutely love getting inspiration from Pinterest. I actually wish I went on it more! But that app is so damn addicting you'll literally be on it for hours, not good when you're trying to get your nails done and a post up before today is over ;)

Anyways I found THIS super cute abstract triangle design and just knew it would be perfect for todays prompt. Ready to check out what I came up with?!

I started with a base of Lime Crime Milky Ways. When it dried I added a layer of NYC Matte Me Crazy to make drawing the triangles easier. Then I added the triangles using grey, dark blue, light blue, black, and red/orange acrylic paints. I sealed it all in with a layer of Seche Vite and finally added one more coat of NYC Matte Me Crazy for a flat finish.

Okay so the triangles are messier then I wanted them to be but honestly with my time crunch I'm pretty damn proud of these! I love the color combination and I think the flat finish gives it such visual interest.

What do you guys think?

Neon Holographic Glitter Gradient Nails

NEONNNNNNNNNNNNNN.

Neon and holographic glitter = everything I need in life. The end. Kthnxbye.

I mean honestly though I actually think I cried a little taking these nails off because they were SO DAMN PRETTY. The pictures don't do the holographic glitter nearly enough justice, but you can see how sparkly and gorgeous it is in my tutorial vides with will be up later ;)

Let's get this thing started!

I started with a base of China Glaze Pool Party, my absolute favorite neon pink polish. When it was dry I applied some liquid latex around my nails and created the glitter gradient by applying H&M Jo Is In The House on a cosmetic sponge and spongeing it on my nails. When I was happy with the gradient I peeled off the liquid latex and sealed the design in with a generous layer of Seche Vite. To finish off the design I added a rhinestone to each nail.

Like seriously though, did you see that macro?! I die! I know I'm being dramatic but I'm serious guys these nails were everything I've ever dreamed about and more! I think I need to recreate this look with every neon polish I own, wouldn't that make a fun collage?!

What do you think guys?

Multi-Colored Neon Leopard Nails

Oh My Goodness....

I am so in love with these absolutely wild nails! They remind me of summer time and warm weather and I'm just dying to feel that sunshine on my skin! I guess I'll just have to deal with some sunshine on my nails with this super bright neon leopard design. ;)

I started off with a base of Sinful Colors Snow Me White. When it dried I used China Glaze Pool Party, China Glaze Orange Knockout, China Glaze I'm With The Lifeguard, Orly Glowstick, and Nina Ultra Pro Blue Blaze to create the design. I used small dashes and filled up each nail randomly. Then I applied a layer of China Glaze Fairy Dust and stamped over my nails using Bundle Monster Plate BM-221 and WetnWild Black Creme. Finally I sealed it all in with a layer of Seche Vite.

These nails really were so fun to wear! I actually wore them for a record three days! Can you even believe it?! LOL I want to do some more neon nails, do you guys have any suggestions? Let me know in the comments!

Rainbow Pastel Half Moon Nails

Hey guys!

I'm so happy that I'm getting back into doing gradients. I really wish I didn't wait so long to go out and buy more cosmetic sponges because I honestly forgot how much I loved this technique. It's so versatile, there are so many different things you can do, radial gradients, vertical, horizontal, spot. The list goes on! I'm sure I'm probably boring you guys with my rambling so let's get on with the real reason you guys are here... NAILS!

Okay I started this look off by applying hole reinforcement stickers at the top of your nails near the cuticle. Then I placed a piece of tape over the small hole in the stickers so that no polish would leak through there. Then I applied my polishes to my cosmetic sponge to create the gradients. The colors I used were: Essie Boom Boom Room, Lime Crime Peaches <3 Cream, Lime Crime Crema De Limon, OPI You're Way Outta Lime, and Essie Rock The Boat. I sponged on the gradients, peeled off the stickers and applied a layer of H&M Jo is in the House over just the gradients. Then I outlined the top of the half moons with OPI This Gown Needs A Crown. I sealed all of that in with a coat of Seche Vite and finally added a heart rhinestone to each nail.

These took FOREVER! But it was so worth it because I'm obsessed with the outcome! It's so girly and sparkly and just so many things that I love. They make me think of spring time and warmer weather and right now that's just what I need ;)

Negative Space Single Chevron

I am in LOVE!

This design is so simple and so easy and it gives such a stunning effect. I die!!

Oh man you're just going to have to keep reading to see what I'm talking about ;)

I started off applying some single chevron nail vinyls to my bare nails, I'm using vinyls from TLLB. Then I painted over the vinyls with LynBDesigns Absolutely Absolem and quickly peeled off the vinyls before the polish was dry. I sealed it all in with some Seche Vite and the design was finished. Yes it was that easy!

I honestly can't get over how much I love these nails. The effect is just stunning and I really wish I had gotten a photo in the sun because this holographic polish is just blindingly perfect. I can't wait to do even more negative space nails soon, they really are so simple but so fascinating.

Twinsie Tuesday: Happy St. Patrick's Day!

Happy St. Patrick's Day loves!

I hope you're having a great day whether you celebrate or not. For St. Patrick's Day this year I've created a fun clover design that I really hope you guys like! Keep reading to see what I came up with :)

I started with a base of Color Club Kismet. When that dried I applied some wave vinyls from TLLB and painted over them using China Glaze Angel Wings. I peeled off the vinyls and then created the clovers using a dotting tool and China Glaze Con-Fused?. Finally I sealed it all in with a layer of Seche Vite and that was it!

I really enjoy the way these came out, they were so fun and easy to create!

St. Patrick's Day Inspired Water Marble

Oh water marble gods... THANK YOU!

I really wanted to do a St. Patrick's Day inspired water marble because I think that monotoned water marbles are just, perfection! I love the way that the shades meld together and, I don't know, maybe I'm just crazy ;) But for real, I'm loving on this design! I only wish that it didn't get ruined as soon as I was finished taking pictures T.T

Anyways, I started off with a base of China Glaze I'm With the Lifeguard. When that was dry I applied some liquid latex around my nails so clean up would be easier and proceeded to create the water marble using China Glaze I'm With the Lifeguard, China Glaze Con-Fused?, and China Glaze Mingle With Kringle. I created my design, dipped each finger and added a layer of China Glaze Fairy Dust because, fairy dust that shit. Then I sealed in everything with a coat of Seche Vite and the design was finished!

This water marble didn't come out exactly how I imagined it, the gold polish spread too much and basically just gave the design a gold shimmer instead of that stark gold ring that I wanted but you know what, I think I like it even better this way, sparkles are everything!

What do you guys think? What is your favorite water marble color combination?

St. Patrick's Day Inspired Dotticure

Happy Sunday!

I hope you are all having a wonderful weekend! St. Patrick's Day is quickly approaching so I think it's time for some green nail designs don't you think?

Let's start off with a quick and easy design, the classic dotticure! I love creating dotticures because they are so easy and you can create any look you want. Keep reading to see what I came up with!

I started off with a base of Sinful Colors Snow Me White. When that was dry I created the dotted design with a dotting tool and China Glaze Con-Fused?, China Glaze I'm With The Lifeguard, OPI You Are So Outta Lime!, and China Glaze Mingle With Kringle. I sealed it all in with Seche Vite to finish this design.

I so love this look! I don't usually wear green polish so this is a great way to wear it and be festive without being overly green ;)

What do you guys think? Do you have any plans for St. Patrick's Day?

White to Gold Reciprocal Gradient Reverse Stamping

Talk about a mouthful of a title right?

LOL I swear these nails are way easier to create then they sound. I wanted to try some reciprocal gradient nails and I though what better way to try then to add in some stamping too. Bring it up a notch ya know? Keep reading to find out how I did it.

I started with a base of Sinful Colors Snow Me White. When that dried I created the gradient using Sinful Colors Snow Me White and Maybelline Color Show Bold Gold. Then I stamped over top of the gradient using the same colors and Bundle Monster Plate BM-408 making sure that the white half was stamped over gold and vice versa. Finally I sealed everything in with some Seche Vite and the design was finished.

I know it sounds difficult but honestly this design was so easy to create. Time consuming? Yes but hard? No way! I encourage you guys to try it! And make sure you tell me so I can see all of the beautiful designs you come up with :)

What do you think guys?
