Gradiented Purple Chevron

Gradients, chevrons and sparkle... what more could a girl ask for?!

I was looking through my drawers of untried polishes when I came upon a beauty. Unfortunately I have no idea what the name is, silly polish bottles without labels -_-. Anyways the brand is Icing and the polish is a stunning holographic glitter that seems to lean a bit pink or purple. I knew that I had to use it immediately, I'm not sure how a gorgeous polish like this went unnoticed for so long! Take a look at what I came up with ;)

I started off with a base of Color Club Wicker Park. When it dried I used my The Little LacquerBean mini chevron vinyls and placed them on each nail. I then used my Icing unnamed polish and painted it over my nails in a gradient fashion. I immediately peeled the vinyls off and top coated with Seche Vite to finish it off.

I absolutely love the way these turned out! They are subtle but when they hit the sunshine watch out! Understated but they still pack a punch :)

What do you think? What's your favorite understated nail design to wear?

Thanks loves :)

Twinsie Tuesday: Recreate A Celebrity Manicure

Hi guys!

My Twinsie Tuesday post is a little late today I'm sorry! I'm in Massachusetts and as most of you know we're getting slammed with a blizzard right now and it's been keeping me pretty busy shoveling and all that good stuff. But, I've got some down time now so I have my post up finally!

The theme for this Twinsie Tuesday is Recreate A Celebrity Manicure. One of my absolute favorite celebrities for nail art is Katy Perry. She always has something crazy on her nails and I fell in love with THIS disco ball design. It seemed pretty easy, but it was a little time consuming ;) Ready to check out my version?!

I started off with a base of Sally Hansen Silver Sweep. When it was dry I used my small silver rhinestones and Essie Good To Go and applied each one. I didn't top coat after because I quite liked the rough look!

So.... things not to do: DON'T use a fast drying top coat to apply the rhinestones, it takes a lot longer.... -_- LOL Oh well I really actually love the way that these came out! I'm a notorious picker though so I knew they wouldn't last long on my nails. But they sure were fun while they lasted ;)

What do you think guys? Are you braving the blizzard too?! Show me some pics of the snow! And don't forget to check out everyone else's Twinsie Tuesday posts! I can't wait to see them!

Thanks loves :)

Mint and white striped

Hi guys!

I. AM. IN. LOVE <3 <3

Oh gosh this may be one of my all time favorite manicures... like, ever. It's no secret that China Glaze Too Yacht To Handle is one of my favorite polishes, I never even thought to pair it up with some holographic sparkle, and white zebra print.... until now! Are you ready for some minty goodness?!

I started off with a base of China Glaze Too Yacht To Handle. When it was dry I added a coat of China Glaze Fairy Dust. I sealed all of that in with some Seche Vite to speed up the drying process. Then I stamped over each nail with PMTG White Undies and Bundle Monster plate BM-223. Finally I sealed everything in with once more coat of Seche Vite and that was it.

Mint. Mint EVERYTHING. I don't even know how to express how much I love this manicure. I may wear it for like.... ever ;)

Just kidding! There will be a new design up soon!

Have you ever created a manicure that you never wanted to take off? Show me a picture in the comments so I can see!

Thanks loves :)

Let It Freaking Snow.... PLEASE

What is this?

It's January and we still haven't gotten a big snow storm. What the heck!

Most of you know I'm not winter's biggest fan... or even smallest ;) But I do actually really love the snow, I always say if it's going to be cold it might as well snow! But lately I've been noticing less and less snow, this year we haven't even really had a snow storm! How depressing :( So while you guys take a look as my nails I'm going to be in the corner doing some ridiculous snow dance okay?

For my nails I started out with a base of Color Club Over The Moon. When it dried I stamped over each nail using Polish Me To Go White Undies and Bundle Monster plate BM-323. I cleaned up the excess, sealed everything in with a coat of Seche Vite and that was it!

If these don't make you wish for snow I don't know what will! So simple yet so, so much fun. Now if it would only snow outside.... still dancing!! ;)

What do you think? What's your favorite season?

Thanks loves :)

Twinsie Tuesday: Fandom

Hey guys!

I've got some exciting news to share with you all today! The wonderful girls of Twinsie Tuesday have been kind enough to invite me to join their group. I'm super excited because all of the girls are so sweet and they have some really great prompts to get my gears turning again ;)

Twinsie Tuesday is a group of lovely ladies (linked below) that post a new manicure every Tuesday following a given prompt. I think this is such a great idea and I'm so pumped to see everyones manicures every week!

The prompt this week is Fandom. Fandom is basically something that you are a super fan of. It can be a book, hobby, movie, tv show, basically anything that you're crazy about. For me it's a television series, Pretty Little Liars. I'm absolutely obsessed with this show! My best friend and I get together every week to watch it, I don't know what I'm going to do when it's over!

Ready to see what I created?

I started off with a base of WetnWild Black Creme. Then I used the dry brush technique to add OPI Push & Shove and Color Club Beyond. I went over it with some more WetnWild Black Creme to tone down the strokes. Then I added a coat of NYC Matte Me Crazy to give this part a flat finish. When that was dry I took Dior Marilyn and a straw and splattered it all over my nails. I cleaned up the splatter and added my red accents using some red acrylic paint. No top coat for this one because I wanted the matte and shiny part to really contrast.

Love the messy, bloody look to these nails, they make me think of PLL which is never a bad thing ;)

What are all of you guys crazy about? Tv show? Movie? Hobby? Let me know in the comments!

Don't forget to check out all of the other Twinsies!

You've been framed!

I feel like I've used this title before... with every single framed mani I've ever done. Damnit.

Anyways beside the lame-o title, I am LOVING this manicure. Moar blue please! And I get to showcase a super special polish. Keep reading to find out why!

Okay I started off with 2 coats of my super special polish, a polish from an upcoming collection from my brand The Little LacquerBean woohoo! It's a lovely green toned blue with a holographic finish. Yummy! When it was dry I used Zoya Liberty and a small nail art brush to outline all around each nail. When I was finished I sealed it all in with Essie Good To Go to make sure it had a super shiny and even finish.

Just look at that sparkle! I really enjoy doing framed manicures, they can be frustrating at times when you're working with such thin lines but the effect it gives is totally worth the extra effort. So fun!

What do you think guys? What's your favorite framed mani you've ever done? Link it in the comments so I can take a look!

Thanks loves :)

Pink & Patterned

I'm still obsessing over Seche Audacious...

I mean come ON did you even see what a gorgeous bright fuchsia it is?!? Seriously it could be one of my all time favorite polishes and it's not even holographic so that means a lot!

Anyways I knew as soon as I put it on my nails that I wanted to pair it with a sliver polish because pink and silver is just, my life. Pathetic? Maybe but YOLO! ;) (sorry I swore I would never use that word on here.... OOPS) Okay it's time for why you guys are really here, nails!!!

I started off with a base of Seche Audacious. When it dried I stamped over each nail using Bundle Monster plate BM-319 and Sally Hansen Silver Sweep. I cleaned up the excess, top coated with Seche Vite and that was it. Simple and easy!

I am loving this manicure so much! It's so simple, it took me literally a half hour to complete, but the final product is just wonderful. The silver really pops against the bright fuchsia for a super fun effect.

What do you think?

Thanks loves :)

Live Love Polish - Seche Vite Review

Hi guys!

I've got a super fun and bright review for you guys to brighten up these long winter days!

Live Love Polish is a new online shop that carries many cruelty-free brands such as China Glaze, Color Club, RGB and Seche. (Click the link to see all of the great brands they carry!) I was contacted by them a bit ago to do a review on some of their Seche products, having never tried and Seche products myself I was pretty excited to finally get on board with this brand. I've got a lovely shade to share with you all and the ever popular Seche Vite top coat. Ready to get started?

Let's kick this off with Seche Audacious. Seche Audacious is the polish of my DREAMS and I'm not just saying that. Audacious is a seriously bright fuchsia creme. The formula is fantastic, super pigmented, I almost got away with ONE coat, yet still thin and buttery. Because the formula is quite thin be careful around your cuticles because they will flood easily with this one. Swatch below is 2 thin coats with Seche Vite top coat which I'll review a little further down.

Seche Vite Quick Dry Top Coat, what can I say? I'm not sure why I never really got on the Seche Vite bandwagon, stubborn I suppose ;) I've hear nothing but good things about this top coat, all of which are true. Seche Vite is super fast drying, my mani was completely dry within 5 minutes. And it dries your manicure to a smooth and extra shiny finish. The formula was a bit thicker then their polishes which I love because it seals everything in so well. I can see myself reaching for this top coat A LOT.

Look at that shine!

You can find these polishes along with a great variety of other polishes (brands carried: China Glaze, Color Club, Colores De Carol, Floss Gloss, Fun Lacquer, LVX, NCLA, Models Own, Mint, Pretty & Polished, RGB, Seche, Tenoverten, UNT) HERE! They also ship worldwide and even offer free shipping to the US with orders of $20 or more. Stay up to date with Live Love Polish (trust me you want to!) by following them:

What do you think guys? Have you checked out Live Love Polish? What about Seche Vite? Tell me what you're thinking! ;)

Swirly twirly with Zoya Liberty

MOAR untrieds!

Ready for another Zoya PixieDust? Today it's Liberty's turn to shine! Zoya Liberty is just a stunning medium blue. It has a sparkle that is so gorgeous I don't even know how to describe it! This one was in my untrieds for so long because I have heard that it can be a stainer. I doubled up on my base coat before I applied Liberty and had no staining. Just be careful around your cuticles ;) Ready to see what I came up with?

I started off with a base of Zoya Liberty (2 coats). When it was dry I stamped randomly over each nail using Bundle Monster plate BM-426 and Sally Hansen Silver Sweep. I'm not sure what exactly this image is supposed to be but I sure do love it ;) I cleaned everything up and didn't apply top coat because it would ruin the textured effect but after I took my first photos I did end up top coating with Essie Good To Go so you guys can see the shiny smooth yumminess.

This polish. I actually don't even know what to say except I love it SO MUCH. I'm a sucker for blues, when I was younger blue was my favorite color, and this one is just the blue of my dreams. And when it's top coated the sparkly really comes alive. Definitely drool worthy.

What do you guys think? What's your favorite blue polish?

Thanks loves :)

It's the motherboard!

Ever have a design that just didn't turn out the way you wanted it to but you still end up liking it?

I really wanted to use the fun computer / motherboard design that's on Bundle Monster plate BM-415 but my green polish just doesn't stamp well at ALL. Because it doesn't the design ended up coming out way more subtle then I wanted so I added some number stamps on top and I actually think it brought the design together really well. Let's see what you guys think ;)

I started with a base of Sally Hansen Silver Sweep. Then I stamped using Bundle Monster plate BM-415 and China Glaze Con-Fused?. After that I stamped over all of my nails again with the same plate BM-415 and Color Club Beyond. I cleaned everything up and sealed it all in with Essie Good To Go and that was it.

I didn't expect to love this design as much as I did. Yes it's subtle but sometimes subtle can be a good thing. I felt so robot like.... is that really weird? Yeah probably but who cares I'm a damn robot!!! ;) ;)

What do you think guys? Make sure you let me know in the comments!!

Thanks loves, talk to you soon! :)

An orange a day with Zoya Destiny

Moving on with my untrieds, I have Zoya Destiny. I'm not going to lie I was SO excited to use this color. It's actually not necessarily an untried since i've used it once before but I never posted it up on the blog so it doesn't really count right? LOL

Zoya Destiny is a juicy golden orange polish, so sparkly! Destiny is a PixieDust polish so it dries textured and I actually quite like that. This was also my very first textured polish I ever bought and it was the perfect one to start off with. I love that it doesn't feel really gritty, and it doesn't catch on stuff like some textured polishes do. And if you top coat it, the depth of this polish is amazing! Want to take a look at what I came up with?

I started off with a base of Zoya Destiny (2 coats). When it dried I stamped over it using Bundle Monster BM-308 and Maybelline Color Show Bold Gold. I cleaned up and didn't apply top coat because that would ruin the textured effect. But after I took my first photos I did end up top coating it with Essie Good To Go so you guys can see the depth that this polish has.

I'm not really an orange person. Unless it's neon orange I probably won't use it. But this is the exception to that. Zoya Destiny is really such a beautiful orange you can't help but fall in love with it. And when it's top coated, man it's just stunning! I thought that an orange stamp would be perfect to compliment this polish because I mean... orange... oranges... perfect right?! LOL

What do you guys think? What's your favorite orange polish, if you have one that is.

Thanks loves! :)

Golden Chevrons with Zoya Feifei

As I sat down to paint my nails the other day I really wanted to use some colors that I haven't tried before. I always seem to reach for the same colors so my untried list is rather large and when I opened up my drawers I realized that my Zoyas get almost no love. What?! Why don't we change that, like NOW.

The first shade that I grabbed was Zoya Feifei. What a wonderful and unique polish. It's an icy blue foil with so many different gold / copper based micro glitters which gives this polish an almost duo chrome effect. So lovely. I knew I wanted to pair this up with some gold art so I hope you guys like what I came up with!

I started of with a base of Zoya Feifei (3 coats for full coverage). When it was dry I used Bundle Monster plate BM-423 and Maybelline Color Show Bold Gold and stamped over each nail. For a little extra fun I used plate BM-317 and Sally Hansen Silver Sweep and stamped the little bow image on my ring finger. I sealed it all in with Essie Good To Go and that was it.

I love how well the gold stamping compliments this polish. It's a little difficult to see in the photos but the copper / gold micro glitters were really prominent in real life. And I just think that little bow is too damn cute ;)

What do you think guys? What is your most untried brand?

Thanks loves :)
