It's a Christmas Miracle!! ;)

Eeeeep hello again all!!

So you guys don't know it but I have a sister that I love dearly BUT she never lets me paint her nails -_- LOL So just imagine the shock on my face when she asked me to paint them for Christmas! O.O <- literally my face hahah anyways she's the one who always bakes the sweets. Since I can't bake if my life depended on it I'm pretty grateful :) So we came up with the idea to do some gingerbread / Christmas cookie nails! Look at how they turned out!

Colors used:
- Color Club Ho Ho Holly
- Color Club Berry & Bright
- China Glaze Fast Track
- Petites Baby Blue
- Maybelline Color Show Bold Gold
- White Acrylic Paint

I'm getting hungry just looking at them! LOL The gingerbread man was done using a Bundle Monster stamp that I can't remember -_- and the cookies were done freehand :)

What do you guys think? Do you love Christmas cookies??

12DoC: Snowflakes

Hello all!

Today calls for another installment of the 12 Days of Christmas Nail Art Challenge! Are you all excited? The prompt is snowflakes and I'm decidedly undecided on how I feel about these ones. I had this great idea in my head of what I wanted to do and it sorta transferred to my nail.... sorta. I wanted the lines of my snowflakes to be thinner but hey we can't always get what we want right? lol! Check them out!

Colors used:
- Sally Hansen White On
- Petites Baby Blue
- Wet n Wild Metallica

I definitely do like them they just aren't what I was attempting to do! I need to get some more liner brushes all of mine are kaput -_- LOL Brrrr I'm getting chilly just looking at them! I think it's that white to blue gradient it looks so icy ;)

What do you guys think?

I can't wait to see everyone's snowflake manis today!

Thanks for reading :)

Ruffles and some more ruffles!

Happy Sunday everyone!!

So today, as promised, I have a free hand design for you guys woooooo!!! For the longest time I've been wanting to try Chalkboard Nails' ruffle manicure (click HERE to see her awesome tutorial!!) I had some extra time yesterday so I decided to give it a try :) So take a look!!

Colors used:
- Sally Hansen Insta-Dri Snappy Sorbet
- Sally Hansen Heart of Stone
- Petites Baby Blue

I thought this design would get really thick on my nails because there are so many layers of dots but it actually didn't. I was very pleasantly surprised about that and I'll definitely try this design again :)

So what do you guys think?

Also, I'm starting to prepare for my 100 follower giveaway!!! I'm getting so close so watch out for it because it's going to be a good one ;) (if I can figure out how to use rafflecopter haha!)

Thanks for reading guys! :)

Sugar spun :)

Hi guys!

I had reallllly good intentions with today's mani but they kind of fell flat a little bit :( I saw a couple of bloggers doing sugar spun manis and knew I just had to try one!

To create a sugar spun mani you need to obviously chose your colors, and then one color at a time blob a big glob of polish on something that won't absorb it like a paper plate or saran wrap etc... After you glob the polish take a dotting tool or something to that effect and start stirring the polish, this part takes a while ;) Every so often lift your dotting tool slowly to see if little strings of polish are starting to form. Once these strings have taken form move the nail you're going to be doing close to the polish and very slowly move it above your nail so that the polish string lays on top of your nail. Do this as many times as you want and viola! You have your very own sugar spun mani! Oh and be warned when doing this technique be prepared for a very looong clean up process :)

Now I wouldn't call today's attempt a fail per say.... but I wouldn't call it particularly great either... Take a look for yourselves :)

Colors used:
- Sally Hansen Fuchsia Power
- Sally Hansen Tough Chick
- Petites Baby Blue
- Sinful Colors Love Nails

The top coat basically globbed this mess together. I think the main reason this came out not as great as I wanted is because my polish strings were wayyy to thick and gloopy. As usual I was impatient and didn't wait for my polish to dry enough before starting to apply it -_- The moral of this story is to BE PATIENT! Do as I say not as I do ;)

Overall I didn't totally hate it and I'm definitely going to revisit sugar spun manis in the near future. Maybe next time around I will have more patience... don't count on it though ;)

What do you guys think?
