Multi-Colored Neon Leopard Nails

Oh My Goodness....

I am so in love with these absolutely wild nails! They remind me of summer time and warm weather and I'm just dying to feel that sunshine on my skin! I guess I'll just have to deal with some sunshine on my nails with this super bright neon leopard design. ;)

I started off with a base of Sinful Colors Snow Me White. When it dried I used China Glaze Pool Party, China Glaze Orange Knockout, China Glaze I'm With The Lifeguard, Orly Glowstick, and Nina Ultra Pro Blue Blaze to create the design. I used small dashes and filled up each nail randomly. Then I applied a layer of China Glaze Fairy Dust and stamped over my nails using Bundle Monster Plate BM-221 and WetnWild Black Creme. Finally I sealed it all in with a layer of Seche Vite.

These nails really were so fun to wear! I actually wore them for a record three days! Can you even believe it?! LOL I want to do some more neon nails, do you guys have any suggestions? Let me know in the comments!

Keep an eye out on my Instagram and YouTube Channel for tutorials on this look a little later today!

Thanks loves :)

31DC2014 Day 26: Inspired By A Pattern

HAPPY FRIDAY!

I can't even tell you guys how happy I am that it's Friday, these past two weeks have been so stressful for me, I've been running around like a chicken with my head cut off (too graphic?) ;) And to make matters worse my anxiety has been off the wall, it feels like I'm swimming underwater and just keep getting pulled down farther! I don't mean to vent, but I'm just really happy it's almost the weekend because I'm SO READY for it :)

Anyways today is day 26 of the 31 Day Challenge and the prompt is Inspired By A Pattern! I'm honestly so surprised that I've made it this far! But reading all of your comments and support is what keeps me going and it can always put a smile on my face!

Let's get on to the nails, I'm super excited about them!

I started off with a base of Essie Blanc. When it was dry I created the gradient on top using Lime Crime Lavendairy, Nina Ultra Pro Blue Blaze, and China Glaze Turned Up Turquoise. When it dried I used a small nail art brush and some black acrylic paint and created the fun pattern on top! I was inspired by THIS pattern! I topped it off with Essie Good To Go and finished it off with a coat of NYC Matte Me Crazy. (shiny photos at bottom!)

I don't know about you guys but I totally love these! I just can't decide if I like the matte version or shiny version better! What do you guys think?

It's your turn again guys! I want to see your 31DC2014 Inspired by a pattern nails so post a link in the comments so I can check them out!

Thanks loves! And thanks for listening to me vent ;)

31DC2014 Day 9: Rainbow Nails

It's day 9 of the 31 Day Challenge 2014 and the theme is RAINBOW!!!!

I'm so pumped, I love doing rainbow nails! I know you guys don't see many on my blog but trust me, combining all those colors just makes me all happy inside :)

Ready to see what I came up with???

I started by painting on the red section with a small nail art brush and OPI Big Apple Red. Then I followed the line and created the rest using OPI Juice Bar Hopping, OPI Candlelight, OPI You Are So Outta Lime!, Nina Ultra Pro Blue Blaze, and OPI Push & Pur-Pull. Once all of the lines were created I top coated with a super secret special holographic topcoat... hint, it's mine and it's part of my soon to be released Halloween collection and it may or may not glow in the dark ;) After that I sealed everything in with a generous coat of Essie Good To Go

So how about that holographic top coat?! It may be my favorite from my Halloween collection from my brand The Little LacquerBean! Keep an eye out for the release date, it's coming up soon! But for now feel free to check out the store and check out my Welcome To The Country Fair Collection and my variety of nail vinyls HERE

But I'm super loving on these nails and I'm so heartbroken that I will have to take them off in just a few short hours!! I guess I have to have fun with them while I can! ;)

Okay guys it's your turn! Post the link to your 31dc2014 rainbow nails in the comments so I can see!

Thanks loves :)

Happy Day After Memorial Day

Yep.

This post was definitely supposed to go live yesterday but I may or may not have forgotten to schedule it.... oops!

But I am quite smitten with this water marble so I'm still going to post it! ;) I hope all of you that celebrated Memorial Day had a wonderful day full of family and fun, but more importantly I hope you took a second to give thanks to all the men and women who gave their life and who are still fighting so that we can live the way we do!

I knew I wanted to do something red, white, and blue to celebrate and what better way then with a water marble manicure?!

Let me just start this off saying I should have done ANYTHING else -_- The water marbling gods must not have been happy with me when I did these because man, did they give me such an issue! It took me two long grueling hours until I was finally happy with the outcome.

Okay here we go! ;) I started with a base of Essie Blanc on all of my nails. I taped off around my nails while I was waiting for them to dry. When I was finished I did my marble using OPI Big Apple Red, Maybelline Color Show Clear, and Nina Ultra Pro Blue Blaze. I added a layer of China Glaze Fairy Dust and finally one coat of Poshe to seal everything in.

Red, white, and water marble!! Woo! LOL I hope you guys enjoy the rest of your week! I'll talk to you all soon!

Thanks loves :)

Neon tribal

Hello dears!

I'm not going to lie... I'm extremely jealous of anyone who can do a tribal nail... like I can't even handle it! Lol! But! I've been practicing and I think I'm improving! Improving enough to show you guys my attempt anyways ;) I'm not sure why exactly I used neon colors, I just kind of picked three colors I liked together and they just so happened to all be neon coincidence?! I don't think so!

I started off with a base of OPI My Boyfriend Scales Walls. Then I took China Glaze I'm With the Lifeguard, Nina Ultra Pro Blue Blaze, and Orly Highlighter and blocked off my nails. After that I took my smallest striping brush and outlined and doodled with some black acrylic paint. I top coated with Poshe and I was done!

Since I love mattifying neons I was dying to see what these looked like mattified. I used NYC Matte Me Crazy below:

I'm not sure which way I like it better... I really love neons mattified but there's just something about that shine that stands out to me ;) Which way do you guys prefer?

Thanks so much loves :)

SPLAT!

Hello cupcakes!

I've got a super fun manicure for you guys today. A little while back I did some nails for the Mish Mash challenge that I'm participating it. The theme was a nail art technique you've never tried before. I decided to try some water spotted nails, and while frustrating, the effect was pretty cool. The design I did for the challenge was turquoise nails... and while I was doing these I came up with a new idea. What about some neon water spotted nails??

I started off with a base of Azature White. When that was dry I taped off my nails and used the water spotted technique that I mentioned in my previous post using China Glaze Pool Party, China Glaze Orange Knockout, China Glaze Sun-Kissed, China Glaze I'm With the Lifeguard, and Nina Ultra Pro Blue Blaze. And finally I top coated with Poshe

And just because I love it, I mattified the mani with NYC Matte Me Crazy.

I was afraid at first that the colors would get all muddy and blend together but I was so happy to find that they didn't. I love how bright it turned out and surprisingly it really didn't take me too long... probably around an hour and a half from start to finish.

What do you guys think?

Groooovy man

Hi dolls

I'm back again for some more water marbling torture ;) I see a lot of gorgeous water marble designs using neon rainbow colors and just knew that I needed to try it. I'm glad China Glaze polishes are so good for marbling because almost all of my neon colors are from them! Now let's get this mani done shall we?! ;)

I started with a base of OPI My Boyfriend Scales Walls. A perfect muted white that I use under all of my neons to really make them pop :) The I used China Glaze Pool Party, Orange Knockout, Orly Highlighter, and Nina Ultra Pro Blue Blaze for the marbling colors and did a flower-ish design on my middle, ring, and thumb. On my index I did two coats of China Glaze Pool Party and on my pinky I did two coats of Orly Highlighter. Seal it it with a great top coat and you're all done!

UGH! I wish my camera didn't hate neons -_- I tried to color correct these and China Glaze Pool Party just refused to look color accurate! It much more pink and neon then my photos show. But despite my camera having a fit I really loved the way these turned out. They were super bright and have a certain 70's feel to them don't ya think? ;)

She's Country

Hi lovelies!

I'm super excited about today's nails because they mean I'm off to have a great time! ;) I'm a country girl at heart and once a year some amazing country singers come to Massachusetts for the Country Music Festival and this year I actually get to go! My first concert ever... I mean I'm 22 and never been to a concert before no big deal right? ;) lol! For those of you who love country music like me this year we have Eli Young Band, Kasey Musgraves, Eric Church, and Kenny Chesney. I'M SO EXCITED!

So you know what this calls for right? Country Fest nails duh! I wasn't sure what I wanted to do but then I figured what's more country then red, white, and blue? :)

To start these nails I painted a base of Azature White. When that was dry I used a ripped up sponge and randomly sponged Nina Ultra Pro Blue Blaze and Color Club Over the Moon. on my thumb and ring finger. I tried to give it a sort of distressed denim look. I used white acrylic paint to create the stars. On my index, middle, and pinky I used some striping tape and took Dior Marilyn and Julep Demi and sponged over the tape using the same method before. After I pulled off the tape I top coated with Poshe and I was almost done. When that was dry I decided to layer NYC Matte Me Crazy over the whole mani to finish the flat distressed look. The bottom two pictures are after the matte topcoat.

I just love when an idea in my head turns out the same on my nails! LOL! What do you think? Country enough? I'll be sure to keep you all updated on Instagram on the whole day so make sure you follow me! ;)

What's your favorite kind of music?
Thanks dolls! :)

Nina Pro glitter gradient accent

Hello cupcakes!

Sorry about the lull in posting!! I never meant for it to happen but you know, life gets in the way sometimes -_- Sorry!!

I realized that my collection was lacking in the bright blue area so I set out to pick one up and decided to try out a new-to-me brand: Nina Ultra Pro. This brand is sold at Sally's Beauty Supply and they've really got a great variety of colors. Anyways I picked up this blue and couldn't wait to try it out.

Let me tell you this baby is BRIGHT! The pictures make it seem a little dustier then it is in real life. I loved this color so much I almost didn't even add anything to it... but I'm sure you guys know I can't leave well enough alone ;)

Below is two coats of Nina Ultra Pro Blue Blaze with a glitter gradient accent of Pure Ice Beware on my ring and thumb.

Only down side to this polish? It chipped in less then 24 hours :( I mean it's not really a problem for me because I change my polish so frequently but it was kind of disappointing.

What do you think? Have you tried Nina Ultra Pro polishes before?

Rainbow gradient love

Hello loves

I've been on a neon kick lately... not sure what it is about summer and neons that just go so well together but hey don't let me question a good thing! I think it's because summer is just so bright and fun, and that's exactly what neons are. I don't think I can wear a neon and not smile because they are just so striking and attention grabbing. I may just wear a neon every day of my life... except that would probably be pretty boring for you guys ;) But I'll most definitely sneak some in every once in a while, like this super bright neon rainbow gradient!

You can't see the whole rainbow in the first picture because I have the red/pink to orange on my thumb so use your imagination! ;)

To start of these bright babies I did two coats of OPI My Boyfriend Scales Walls. I don't think I can praise this polish enough seriously everyone needs to own this one! :) Then I used two polishes for each finger:
-Thumb: China Glaze Pool Party / China Glaze Orange Knockout
- Pointer: China Glaze Orange Knockout / China Glaze Sun-Kissed
- Middle: China Glaze Sun-Kissed / China Glaze I'm With The Lifeguard
- Ring: China Glaze I'm With The Lifeguard / Nina Ultra Pro Blue Blaze
- Pinky: Nina Ultra Pro Blue Blaze / China Glaze Flying Dragon
... Me thinks someone like China Glaze... A LOT ;)

Anyways to do this gradient I paint both colors in vertical lines slightly overlapping on a makeup sponge. Be careful on the order you paint them though because you want the rainbow to be in the right order. I learned this the hard way... apparently I paint my nails with my eyes closed -_- Then I tape around my nails because ain't nobody got time for that clean up mess ;) When they're taped of I lightly dab the sponge on my nails, I go over it 4-5 times on each nail to get a real saturated and seamless gradient. Top it off with a good top coat like Poshe and it will blend the colors even more!

And because mattifying neons is my favorite thing to do lately I had to sneak at least one of those pictures in here. This is after once coat of NYC Matte Me Crazy, my one and only matte top coat ;)

Just look at that chalky goodness! Which way do you prefer? I'm a matte girl all the way but I still love me a good shiny and smooth nail. I wish the colors showed up more vibrant though, oh is the woes of photographing neons. My camera refuses to make them the bright and beautiful colors that they are. I tried fixing them up in Photoshop but nothing I did did them any justice so I'm stuck with slightly less bright neon-y-ness. *Sigh*

How do you feel about neons? Yay or no way?

Thanks chickies!

Taste the neon rainbow!

Hey dolls

I'm super excited to show you guys what I've come up with today! It's no secret that I love neons... like a large amount. So I decided to combine them all and create some sort of neon stripe-y gradient.

I started with a base of OPI My Boyfriend Scales Walls and used some striping tape to create some stripes and created the gradient using China Glaze Pool Party, Orange Knockout, Sun-Kissed, I'm With the Lifeguard, Nina Ultra Pro Blue Blaze, and China Glaze Flying Dragon. I finished it off with NYC Matte Me Crazy because I'm really loving mattified neons at the moment... don't worry there's a shiny one at the end for all you who don't agree with me ;)

And this is with Poshe top coat.

This was surprisingly easy to do and I really loved the outcome! For some reason the whole chalky look that comes with mattifying a mani really appeals to me with neons. What about you guys? Shiny or matte?
