Autumnal Ruffian

Happy Wednesday!

We made it halfway though the week and just think... we'll be preparing to eat turkey this time next week! If you celebrate it that is :)

Any who, I've been digging through my untrieds and trying to incorporate them into some manis when I came across this gem! Vampires Suck from Enchanted Polish, like WTF why haven't I used this yet?! It is the most stunning chocolate brown holo, EVER! Expect to see this a lot more in the future ;)

I started with a base of Enchanted Polish Vampires Suck and when it dried I applied some Half Moon Vinyls from Stick It! Nail Vinyls just below the cuticle. I painted over the space near my cuticle with Lime Crime Milky Ways, removed the vinyl, and sealed it all in with a layer of Seche Vite. No really, it's that easy!

Now tell me you aren't swooning over this color?! If I could add a heart face emoji here there would be about 478392062 of them ;)

What do you guys think?

Thanks loves!

Quilted Bling

Hey guys!

So when I was trying out the Expressionism plate and the Say I Do plate from the Winstonia Store, I got really excited about this quilted image on the Say I Do plate. I've tried this look free hand before and failed miserably... which is why you guys haven't seen it LOL! SO I was super pumped about being able to stamp it instead! Ready to check it out?

I started with a base of Lime Crime Milky Ways. I applied a layer of Seche Vite over top to speed up the drying process and when my nails were dry I stamped over each on using the quilted image form the Winstonia Store Say I Do plate and a black stamping polish from the Born Pretty Store. I applied Seche Vite one more time and while it was still wet I carefully placed one rhinestone over a larger dot on each nail. Finally I applied a layer of NYC Matte Me Crazy to bring it all together.

I am LOVING this look! SO classy and simple with just the right amount of sparkle to catch your eye. I can't wait to try this one out in different color combinations!

What do you guys think?

Harvest Spikes

Hi guys!

I've been crazy about fall-esque nail designs and I think this one is my favorite to date! Something about golds, browns, and nudes together just make me ant to get my sweater and boots out!

I started with a base of Enchanted Polish Flashing Lights and when it was dry I applied some Spike Vinyls from Stick It! Nail Vinyls and sponged over them with Mundo De Unas Brown and Lime Crime Milky Ways. I removed the vinyls and sealed it all in with a layer of Seche Vite to finish it off.

Dat sun pic doe <3 These photos don't do this Enchanted justice at all, it's absolutely stunning in real life!

What do you guys think?

Gradiented Hearts

Hearts, hearts everywhere!

I'm loving these Multi Heart Stencils from Stick It! Nail Vinyls, they are incredibly easy to use and my favorite part? The insides of the stencils don't lift up when you remove the stencil from the paper. I can't tell you how frustrating it is, though a lot of you probably know, when you are trying to use a nail vinyl and you have to pick out the insides. So aggravating! That's why I like these vinyls so much, aside form having a great variety, the vinyls are nice and stick and the insides stay where they are supposed to ;)

For this fun heart look I started with a base of Sally Hansen Insta Dri Tag, Ur It! and applied a layer of Seche Vite over each nail to protect the polish from the vinyls. I applied the multi heart stencils to my nails, protected my skin with a layer of liquid latex and created the gradient using Lime Crime Parfait Day and Glam Polish Without Love and a cosmetic sponge. I removed the vinyls and liquid latex and sealed it all in with one final layer of Seche Vite.

I absolutely LOVE how fun this look is! And it's so easy to create and use whatever color combination you want. I especially love the purple glitters in Glam Polish Without Love, such a perfect finishing touch ;)

What do you guys think?

Have you tried Stick It! Nail Vinyls? What did you think?

The Subtlest of Stamps

When your stamped design is almost too subtle to see..........

Whoops!

I swear it's way more visible in real life ;)

I'm actually quite smitten with this look, I can't remember the last time I did a pastel pink to pastel purple gradient, if I ever have but it's so cute and girly and dainty I LOVE IT T.T

For this look I started with a base of Lime Crime Parfait Day. Then I created the gradient using Lime Crime Parfait Day and Mundo De Unas Lilac. When the gradient was dry I grabbed Mundo De Unas Lilac again and stamped over my entire nail with plate BP-L020. I finished off with a layer of Seche Vite to seal everything in.

Okay tell me you can see it! LOL don't you hate when things are so pretty in real life and just refuse to show up on camera? Stubborn -_-

Anyways what do you guys think?

Pastel Circular Dotted Nails

Time to change it up!

I've been doing a lot of neon stuff lately I think it's time to switch it up with some pastels <3

Pastels are generally a "springtime" shade but eff the rules! We can wear whatever polish in whatever shade whenever we want! Who's with me?!?

Anyways ;) I thought I'd go for a fun a simple look with this cute little dotted design. Check it out!

I started off with a different base on each nail: Lime Crime Parfait Day (pink), Crema De Limon (yellow), Lavendairy (purple), and Azature Light Blue Diamond (blue). I used a small dotting tool and all of these colors plus Essie Blanc for the dots and alternated the colors with each nail. To finish it off I sealed them all in with a layer of Seche Vite.

This look is so soft and sweet! It's almost refreshing after all of the neons and bright saturated colors. I don't normally do a different color on each nail but I'm learning to expand my horizons and I'm loving it! The possibilities are endless ;)

What do you guys think?

Thanks loves! :)

Twinsie Tuesday: Pinterest Inspiration

Oh gosh I'm so late! Again -_-

I was really excited about this prompt, I absolutely love getting inspiration from Pinterest. I actually wish I went on it more! But that app is so damn addicting you'll literally be on it for hours, not good when you're trying to get your nails done and a post up before today is over ;)

Anyways I found THIS super cute abstract triangle design and just knew it would be perfect for todays prompt. Ready to check out what I came up with?!

I started with a base of Lime Crime Milky Ways. When it dried I added a layer of NYC Matte Me Crazy to make drawing the triangles easier. Then I added the triangles using grey, dark blue, light blue, black, and red/orange acrylic paints. I sealed it all in with a layer of Seche Vite and finally added one more coat of NYC Matte Me Crazy for a flat finish.

Okay so the triangles are messier then I wanted them to be but honestly with my time crunch I'm pretty damn proud of these! I love the color combination and I think the flat finish gives it such visual interest.

What do you guys think?

Keep an eye out on my Instagram and YouTube Channel for tutorials on this look a little later!

Rainbow Pastel Half Moon Nails

Hey guys!

I'm so happy that I'm getting back into doing gradients. I really wish I didn't wait so long to go out and buy more cosmetic sponges because I honestly forgot how much I loved this technique. It's so versatile, there are so many different things you can do, radial gradients, vertical, horizontal, spot. The list goes on! I'm sure I'm probably boring you guys with my rambling so let's get on with the real reason you guys are here... NAILS!

Okay I started this look off by applying hole reinforcement stickers at the top of your nails near the cuticle. Then I placed a piece of tape over the small hole in the stickers so that no polish would leak through there. Then I applied my polishes to my cosmetic sponge to create the gradients. The colors I used were: Essie Boom Boom Room, Lime Crime Peaches <3 Cream, Lime Crime Crema De Limon, OPI You're Way Outta Lime, and Essie Rock The Boat. I sponged on the gradients, peeled off the stickers and applied a layer of H&M Jo is in the House over just the gradients. Then I outlined the top of the half moons with OPI This Gown Needs A Crown. I sealed all of that in with a coat of Seche Vite and finally added a heart rhinestone to each nail.

These took FOREVER! But it was so worth it because I'm obsessed with the outcome! It's so girly and sparkly and just so many things that I love. They make me think of spring time and warmer weather and right now that's just what I need ;)

Keep an eye out on my Instagram and YouTube channel for tutorials on this look a little later today!

What do you think guys?

Dotted Flowers

I've been seeing this dotted flower design circulating Instagram lately and thought I would give it a go.

I like this particular design because it's easy to create I don't do near enough floral designs. Let's get started!

I started off with a base of Lime Crime Peaches <3 Cream. Then I took LynB Designs Nightmare Revisited and a large dotting tool to create the flowers. After I've created the flowers I went back with Lime Crime Peaches <3 Cream and a slightly smaller dotting too and overlapped the first dots. Then I used LynB Design Nightmare Revisited to add dots in the middle of the flowers and smaller dots around the flowers. I finished this design off with a layer of Seche Vite to seal everything in.

I wasn't sure how I would like this design but I ended up really loving it. The color combination and this flower design gives the whole manicure an almost 80's feel don't you think?

What's you favorite floral design?

Thanks loves :)

Twinsie Tuesday: Endometriosis Awareness

Happy Tuesday!

I hope your week is going well, I'm counting down the days until Sunday because DAYLIGHT SAVINGS! I can't wait for it to be lighter out later, just one more step closer to summer ;)

Anyways since today is Tuesday that means it's time for Twinsie Tuesday! The theme for today is Endometriosis Awareness. Now to be honest I know nothing about Endometriosis, so I decided to do a little research. From what I read I understand Endometriosis as a painful disorder that occurs when the tissue that normal lines the inside of the uterus grows outside of the uterus. This causes discomfort which can sometimes be severe and also fertility issues. Man, that sounds terrible. I'm glad that the theme for today is Endometriosis Awareness because I really don't think many people know about it, myself included, and I think it's important for everyone to know. The color for Endometriosis Awareness is yellow so I've got a bright yellow design below. Keep reading to see what I came up with!

I started with a base of Lime Crime Crema De Limon. When it was dry I stamped over it using Bundle Monster plate BM- 321 and Orly Glowstick for a subtle ribbon effect. When that was dry I used my cancer ribbon vinyls from The Little LacquerBean and painted over them with Maybelline Color Show Bold Gold. To finish this design off I sealed everything in with one coat of Seche Vite

I have to confess, I hate yellow nail polish. It's always difficult and I hate the way it looks with my skin! But I surprisingly didn't mind this mani, the two yellows really complimented each other and the outcome didn't close with my skin like I thought it would. Maybe I'll be trying out some more yellow designs in the future!

Don't forget to check out everyone else's Endometriosis Awareness manis for today, I'm super excited to see what everyone has come up with!

Pastel Spot Gradient with Stamping

It's gradient time!

It's been so incredibly long since my last gradient manicure which makes me so sad because I love gradients! Truth is I ran out of my cosmetic sponges and have been way to lazy to buy more... oops T.T But I've finally got some so let's kick off what I'm sure will be a plethora of gradient designs with this fun, springy, pastel spot design with some contrasting stamping on top.

I started off with a base of Sinful Colors Snow Me White. I then applied some liquid latex around my nails (watch out for this fun neon pink liquid latex to be available in my shop SOON!) I then took a cosmetic sponge and added splotches of Essie Nice is Nice, Lime Crime Pastelchio, Lime Crime Once In A Blue Mousse, Lime Crime Parfait Day, and Lime Crime Peaches <3 Cream. Once everything was dry I stamped over each nail with WetnWild Black Creme and Bundle Monster plate BM-721. I peeled off the liquid latex, cleaned up around my nails and applied a coat of Sech Vite to finish off this design.

I love the way that these spot gradient designs come out, so unique and each nail never looks quite the same. This design is so springy I can almost smell the fresh air... fresh air that isn't -10 degrees -_- Almost.

I've also filmed a tutorial for this design so look for it sometime today on my Instagram account!

Ruffian with a neon twist

Haaaaaaaaaaappy Monday!

Another week is beginning and I couldn't be more excited! I'm finally officially starting my new job and it feels like I've been waiting for this forever! So this calls for some bright and fun nails! I haven't done a ruffian design in a while so I think it's high time to change that.

I started with a base of Lime Crime Once In A Blue Mousse and when it dried I created the ruffian using Color Club Over the Moon. Then I took a small nail art brush and used it to outline the ruffian using China Glaze Pool Party. To finish it off I sealed it all in with some Seche Vite

I so loved these nails! The holo and neon and pastel come together to make the yummiest combination. Don't you think?

What about you guys, what's your favorite ruffian color combination?

Thanks for stopping by! Talk to you tomorrow!

Double Stamp Saturday

Happy Saturday!

I hope your weekend is going well, we're expecting some more snow and ice in a short while. Yayyyyyyy -_- *insert sarcastic eye roll* But what are you going to do? I'll tell you what you do, paint your nails DUH!!! ;)

I wanted to play with Bundle Monster's Secret Garden plate set a little more and I've never really done a double stamped mani before so I figured why not give it a shot! Let's see what you guys think.

I started with a base of Color Club Eternal Beauty. When it dried I used Lime Crime Once In A Blue Mousse, Lime Crime Lavendairy, and Bundle Monster plate BM-719 to stamp over each nail. Finally I sealed it all in with some Seche Vite

It came out a bit more subtle then I wanted but I absolutely love the abstract look it gives. The pastel contrasts with the holo so well in the sunlight too, such a fun look!

I really enjoyed trying out this double stamping manicure, I'll definitely have some more to share with you guys soon!

What do you think?

Thanks loves :)
