Tribal Sparkle

Oh HI guys!

I did it again didn't I? I went totally MIA on you T.T
My office is currently in pieces, we decided to paint the room and we both realized that we HATE painting walls LOL! So it's taking..... a while. But I had done this sparkly tribal print mani a little while ago and forgot all about it! I don't know how, I LOVE this look!

I started by creating a gradient using Cupcake Polish Imagine and Believe. When my nails were dry I applied some Tribal Water Decals by the Born Pretty Store. I sealed it all in with some Seche Vite and that was it!

I LOVE this look so much! SO fun and SO sparkly!

What do you guys think?

The Subtlest of Stamps

When your stamped design is almost too subtle to see..........

Whoops!

I swear it's way more visible in real life ;)

I'm actually quite smitten with this look, I can't remember the last time I did a pastel pink to pastel purple gradient, if I ever have but it's so cute and girly and dainty I LOVE IT T.T

For this look I started with a base of Lime Crime Parfait Day. Then I created the gradient using Lime Crime Parfait Day and Mundo De Unas Lilac. When the gradient was dry I grabbed Mundo De Unas Lilac again and stamped over my entire nail with plate BP-L020. I finished off with a layer of Seche Vite to seal everything in.

Okay tell me you can see it! LOL don't you hate when things are so pretty in real life and just refuse to show up on camera? Stubborn -_-

Anyways what do you guys think?

Don't Go Raining On My Minty Parade

Hey guys!

So,

I can't bring myself to take Cirque Julep off of my nails O.O For real though I've been wearing it for 3 days already. But I needed to move on with my polish, the struggles of being a nail blogger are totally REAL ;) So I decided why not just do a little art-ing over top?

I love this "rainy day" look, it's so fun and super cute!

I started with a base of Cirque Colors Julep. When it was dry I used my raindrop vinyls from Snail Vinyls and created a gradient using Cirque Julep and China Glaze Turned Up Turquoise over it. When I was happy with my gradient I peeled off the vinyls and finished it off with a generous layer of Seche Vite. And that was it!

I love that this look is quite subtle but it has just enough oomph to be super stunning, especially out in the sunshine ;)

What do you guys think? What polishes are you loving this summer?

Thanks loves :)

Neon Glitter Gradient

How long has it been since I posted a gradient on this little blog?

Wayne too long! I adore gradients so much I have no idea why I don't do them more often! I was feeling summery and what's more summery then neon? So this neon glitter gradient was BORN!

I started off with a base of Essie Blanc. When it dried I created the gradient using China Glaze DJ Blue My Mind and China Glaze PLUR-ple. Then I topped it off with China Glaze Can I Get An Untz Untz and finally sealed everything in with a layer of Seche Vite to finish off this design.

Mmmmmm neon gradient with neon glitter. SO MUCH NEON! So much awesomeness! I really need to do more gradients, I'm making it a goal to do at least once a month... what a sad little goal! Hopefully there will be more then that ;)

What do you guys think?

Reciprocal Star Gradient Nails

Hi guys!

I'm super excited about these nails because ever since I started seeing these swirl star vinyls I knew I HAD to try them! Well good news and bad news, bad news first: they are a HUGE pain in the butt to apply!! LOL But the good news is that they are absolutely 100% worth it!

I started off with a base of Wet n Wild Black Creme. Then I created the vertical gradient using Wet n Wild Black Creme and LynBDesigns Nightmare Revisited. When that dried I applied my star vinyls (which I purchased from Snail Vinyls) and created the same gradient but with reverse colors. I peeled off the vinyls and added a layer of Sech Vite to seal everything in.

I'm so obsessed with reciprocal gradient designs lately. The final effect is just so amazing to me LOL! But really, these nails totally made me feel like a rockSTAR B)

What do you guys think?

Reciprocal Checkerboard Gradient Nails

Reciprocal gradients are so popular right now, I see them all over the place on instagram. And they should be, reciprocal gradients, gradients that oppose each other, are so cool and super intense. There's one lovely lady on Instagram +Simply Nailogical who is absolutely the cray cray-iest reciprocal gradienter I've even seen! She did this stunning checkerboard gradient nail design a little while ago and I just knew I was going to have to try it.

I've gotta say, it didn't take me nearly as loon to create this as I thought it would. But I would have worked on the mani for days, because it is AMAZING! Keep reading to see what I came up with!

I started off with a base of Sinful Colors Snow Me White. Then when that dried I created the first vertical gradient using Color Club Miss Bliss and China Glaze Glow With The Flow. When that dried I applied some straight vinyls to my nails alternating the position down each nail and created the same gradient except with the colors reversed. I peeled off the tape and sealed everything in with some Seche Vite to finish it off.

I can't even get over how fun these were or how many people called me nuts! But hey, life wouldn't be nearly as fun if you weren't at least a little cray ;)

What do you guys think? Would you try this design? If you did send me a link in the comments so I can see them!!

Thanks loves :)

Neon Holographic Glitter Gradient Nails

NEONNNNNNNNNNNNNN.

Neon and holographic glitter = everything I need in life. The end. Kthnxbye.

I mean honestly though I actually think I cried a little taking these nails off because they were SO DAMN PRETTY. The pictures don't do the holographic glitter nearly enough justice, but you can see how sparkly and gorgeous it is in my tutorial vides with will be up later ;)

Let's get this thing started!

I started with a base of China Glaze Pool Party, my absolute favorite neon pink polish. When it was dry I applied some liquid latex around my nails and created the glitter gradient by applying H&M Jo Is In The House on a cosmetic sponge and spongeing it on my nails. When I was happy with the gradient I peeled off the liquid latex and sealed the design in with a generous layer of Seche Vite. To finish off the design I added a rhinestone to each nail.

Like seriously though, did you see that macro?! I die! I know I'm being dramatic but I'm serious guys these nails were everything I've ever dreamed about and more! I think I need to recreate this look with every neon polish I own, wouldn't that make a fun collage?!

What do you think guys?

Keep an eye out on my Instagram and YouTube Channel for tutorials on this look a little later today!

Rainbow Pastel Half Moon Nails

Hey guys!

I'm so happy that I'm getting back into doing gradients. I really wish I didn't wait so long to go out and buy more cosmetic sponges because I honestly forgot how much I loved this technique. It's so versatile, there are so many different things you can do, radial gradients, vertical, horizontal, spot. The list goes on! I'm sure I'm probably boring you guys with my rambling so let's get on with the real reason you guys are here... NAILS!

Okay I started this look off by applying hole reinforcement stickers at the top of your nails near the cuticle. Then I placed a piece of tape over the small hole in the stickers so that no polish would leak through there. Then I applied my polishes to my cosmetic sponge to create the gradients. The colors I used were: Essie Boom Boom Room, Lime Crime Peaches <3 Cream, Lime Crime Crema De Limon, OPI You're Way Outta Lime, and Essie Rock The Boat. I sponged on the gradients, peeled off the stickers and applied a layer of H&M Jo is in the House over just the gradients. Then I outlined the top of the half moons with OPI This Gown Needs A Crown. I sealed all of that in with a coat of Seche Vite and finally added a heart rhinestone to each nail.

These took FOREVER! But it was so worth it because I'm obsessed with the outcome! It's so girly and sparkly and just so many things that I love. They make me think of spring time and warmer weather and right now that's just what I need ;)

Keep an eye out on my Instagram and YouTube channel for tutorials on this look a little later today!

What do you think guys?

White to Gold Reciprocal Gradient Reverse Stamping

Talk about a mouthful of a title right?

LOL I swear these nails are way easier to create then they sound. I wanted to try some reciprocal gradient nails and I though what better way to try then to add in some stamping too. Bring it up a notch ya know? Keep reading to find out how I did it.

I started with a base of Sinful Colors Snow Me White. When that dried I created the gradient using Sinful Colors Snow Me White and Maybelline Color Show Bold Gold. Then I stamped over top of the gradient using the same colors and Bundle Monster Plate BM-408 making sure that the white half was stamped over gold and vice versa. Finally I sealed everything in with some Seche Vite and the design was finished.

I know it sounds difficult but honestly this design was so easy to create. Time consuming? Yes but hard? No way! I encourage you guys to try it! And make sure you tell me so I can see all of the beautiful designs you come up with :)

What do you think guys?

Make sure you keep an eye out on my Instagram and YouTube Channel for tutorials on this look! I will update this post with links once they are posted.

Spot Gradient with Water Marble Overlay

MOAR GRADIENTS!

I really forgot how much I absolutely love doing gradient manis. I've got a really fun one to share with you guys today, it's reminiscent of my Summer Neon Gradient and Watermarble but this time with a much more cool toned twist! Keep reading to see what I came up with :)

I started off with a base of Sinful Colors Snow Me White. Then I applied some liquid latex around my nails to protect the skin and added random blobs of China Glaze Too Yacht To Handle, Sinful Colors Let's Talk, and TLLB Blue Ribbon Baby on a cosmetic sponge. I then lightly dabbed the sponge over all of my nails twice. I peeled off the liquid latex and added a layer of China Glaze Fairy Dust over each nail because it's Fairy Dust, duh. I then applied some more liquid latex around my nails for the water marble. I created the water marble with Sinful Colors Snow Me White and Maybelline Color Show Clear. I dipped each nail in, peeled off the liquid latex, and sealed them in with Seche Vite to finish the design off.

Oh gosh I just LOVE these so much! They are so fun and the sparkle peeks through just enough when the sun shines.

What do you guys think? Keep your eyes peeled on my instagram and youtube channel for video tutorials on this look!

Gradiented Purple Chevron

Gradients, chevrons and sparkle... what more could a girl ask for?!

I was looking through my drawers of untried polishes when I came upon a beauty. Unfortunately I have no idea what the name is, silly polish bottles without labels -_-. Anyways the brand is Icing and the polish is a stunning holographic glitter that seems to lean a bit pink or purple. I knew that I had to use it immediately, I'm not sure how a gorgeous polish like this went unnoticed for so long! Take a look at what I came up with ;)

I started off with a base of Color Club Wicker Park. When it dried I used my The Little LacquerBean mini chevron vinyls and placed them on each nail. I then used my Icing unnamed polish and painted it over my nails in a gradient fashion. I immediately peeled the vinyls off and top coated with Seche Vite to finish it off.

I absolutely love the way these turned out! They are subtle but when they hit the sunshine watch out! Understated but they still pack a punch :)

What do you think? What's your favorite understated nail design to wear?

Thanks loves :)

Christmas Gradient Ornaments

It just isn't Christmas without at least one red and green design ;)

But can I just say, red and green are being such jerks to work with this year! Because they are opposites they technically cancel each other out meaning that if you aren't careful a gradient can turn muddy and brown. I had to redo this gradient 3 times before I was happy with it! Ready to check it out?

I started with a base of Essie Blanc so that my gradient would really pop. When it dried I taped off my nails and created the gradient using The Little LacquerBean Sexy Red Suit and The Little LacquerBean Mistletoe Mania. I cleaned up and applied Essie Good To Go so that the stamping wouldn't smudge anything. When everything was dry I stamped over the gradient using Bundle Monster Plate BM-H03 and Maybelline Color Show Bold Gold. I sealed everything in with one final coat of Essie Good To Go and that was it.

I wasn't sure that I was going to like this mani while I was creating it. It was just so messy and nothing was going right I almost gave up. But I'm glad I didn't because I really actually loved the final product. The ornaments hide the messy gradient line and it made for a really fun and festive manicure.

What do you think guys?

Talk to you soon!

Going Pink with Fierce and Hope

Hey guys!

As you know, October is Breast Cancer Awareness month. As a business owner I wanted to take this time to do something good towards breast cancer research and so I created Fierce and Hope. Fierce is a glitter topper packed with holographic pink, neon pink, and iridescent glitters and hope is a medium pink linear holographic polish. Both polishes are available in my store (click HERE to be redirected!) and one dollar of each polish purchased is donated to the Breast Cancer Foundation. It doesn't seem like much but trust me, every penny counts!

Want to know something cool? Fierce and Hope also compliment each other super well! I've chosen to create a glitter gradient manicure using both Fierce and Hope so you guys can see their beauty together ;)

I started off with a base of The Little LacquerBean Hope. When it dried I used TLLB Fierce to create the glitter gradient on top. I sealed it all in with a coat of Essie Good To Go and that's it!

Oh and I know the photos look a bit different, I got a new lens for my camera and decided to change up my set up and do away with the light box for a more professional set up.... not sure I like it quite yet but I'm going to play around with it a little more ;) Let me know what you guys think!

I just love how sparkly this manicure is!! The iridescent glitters capture even the smallest amount of light and create such a beautiful effect!

What do you guys think? What's your go to pink polish?

Thanks loves :)

31DC2014 Day 26: Inspired By A Pattern

HAPPY FRIDAY!

I can't even tell you guys how happy I am that it's Friday, these past two weeks have been so stressful for me, I've been running around like a chicken with my head cut off (too graphic?) ;) And to make matters worse my anxiety has been off the wall, it feels like I'm swimming underwater and just keep getting pulled down farther! I don't mean to vent, but I'm just really happy it's almost the weekend because I'm SO READY for it :)

Anyways today is day 26 of the 31 Day Challenge and the prompt is Inspired By A Pattern! I'm honestly so surprised that I've made it this far! But reading all of your comments and support is what keeps me going and it can always put a smile on my face!

Let's get on to the nails, I'm super excited about them!

I started off with a base of Essie Blanc. When it was dry I created the gradient on top using Lime Crime Lavendairy, Nina Ultra Pro Blue Blaze, and China Glaze Turned Up Turquoise. When it dried I used a small nail art brush and some black acrylic paint and created the fun pattern on top! I was inspired by THIS pattern! I topped it off with Essie Good To Go and finished it off with a coat of NYC Matte Me Crazy. (shiny photos at bottom!)

I don't know about you guys but I totally love these! I just can't decide if I like the matte version or shiny version better! What do you guys think?

It's your turn again guys! I want to see your 31DC2014 Inspired by a pattern nails so post a link in the comments so I can check them out!

Thanks loves! And thanks for listening to me vent ;)
