Galaxy Nails

I'm so excited to be posting some more galaxy nails!

And these ones may just be my favorite yet *.*

Ever since receiving these Multi Star Stencils from Stick It! Nail Vinyls I've had this idea for some galaxy nails in my head and I'm so happy that I've finally gotten around to doing them. I hope you love them just as much as I do.

I started with a base of ELF Sea Escape. Then I sponged on the galaxy design using Essie Blanc, Line Crime Parfait Day, Lime Crime Lavendairy, and Zoya Song. I added a layer of China Glaze Fairy Dust and then a layer of Seche Vite on top of that. When my nails were completely dry I applied the Multi Star Stencils and sponged over them using Mundo De Unas White. I peeled off the stencils and applied one more layer of Seche Vite and I was finally done!

I. Can't. Right Now. I really believe that this is one of my favorite designs ever! I'm so glad that this came out how I planned it as well, the nail art gods must have been on my side ;)

What do you guys think?

Have you tried Stick It! Nail Vinyls yet?

Thanks loves :)

31DC2014 Day 19: Galaxies

Hey guys!

I'm going to keep this short and sweet because it's currently 11:00pm and I have to work tomorrow and I'm TIRED!! ;)

It's day 19 of the 31 Day Challenge 2014... or at least it will be day 19 when I post this! And the theme is galaxies! Now I've done galaxies before so I thought I'd change it up and go with a pastel galaxy this time. Ready?

I started off with a base of Lime Crime Lavendairy. When it dried I tore up a cosmetic sponge and dabbed Lime Crime Parfait Day, Lime Crime Once In A Blue Mouse, and Lime Crime Lavendairy to create the galaxy. I added stars with Essie Blanc and a generous coat of China Glaze Fairy Dust to give it that super sparkle!! I sealed it all in with some Essie Good To Go and the design was finished.

I'm not going to lie, I'm totally digging this pastel look! It's so sweet and soft and sparkly! My Lime Crime polishes were absolutely perfect to pull off this look and I know I'm going to revisit it some time soon!

And now I want to see your galaxy nails! Post a link in the comments to your 31DC2014 galaxy nails so I can check them out!!

Alright it's time for me to go to sleep so goodnight..... errrr good morning suppose by the time I post this... oh now I'm all confused! ;)

Thanks loves :)

Galaxy Nails: Tribal Space Edition

Yes this awesomesauceness of a manicure just happened.... whatttttt

I don't even know where this idea came from but I am obsessed! I wanted to do some more galaxy nails because I haven't done any in a while and then I just started painting over them with white acrylic paint and then this happened... galaxy nails, the tribal space edition ;)

Okay let's get this process rolling! I started with a base of E.L.F Sea Escape on all of my nails. When that was dry I created the galaxies using Essie Blanc, Color Club Over The Moon, Color Club Eternal Beauty, Lime Crime Parfait Day and Lime Crime Lavendairy. I added a layer of China Glaze Fairy Dust for the starry effect but you really can't even see it -_- LOL Then I used white acrylic paint and a small nail art brush to create the tribal design on top. When everything was dry I decided to mattify it with NYC Matte Me Crazy and tadaaaaa!

Does this next picture look incredibly orange to you? In my files it looks normal but every time I upload it to blogger it looks so orange and no matter how many times I delete it and upload it again it won't change... so I hope it looks normal but if it doesn't I'll have to delete it again boo!!!

I really just love these so much! A little bit of self love isn't bad right...... right?! LOL

So what do you guys think? Do you have any other ideas for galaxy nails?
Thanks loves :)

Pastel Negative SPACE Nails with tutorial

Negative space,

What can I say about it besides that it's awesome?! Many talented bloggers have played around with negative space and I thought it was high time for me to jump on that wagon! I had this really cool idea of negative SPACE nails and, even though it took forever, I made up a little tutorial for you guys! So keep on reading to find out how to create some pastel negative SPACE nails!

TUTORIAL:
1. Gather your supplies:
    - you need a pink polish [Lime Crime Parfait Day], a purple polish [Lime Crime   Lavendairy], a blue polish [Lime Crime Once In A Blue Mousse], a green polish [Maybelline Color Show Green With Envy], a white polish [Azature White], and an optional glitter top coat [China Glaze Fairy Dust]
    - you will also need a small nail art brush, a toothpick or small dotting tool, a makeup sponge and small star hole punch and tape or star stickers
2. Cut out your stars using the hole punch and your tape.
3. Stick the star stickers to your nails, make sure you press all the edges down.
4. Paint your nails white.
5. Rip your make up sponge and sponge on your blue all over the nail.
6. Use another piece of ripped up sponge and sponge your white on randomly.
7. Sponge over the edges with your green.
8. Sponge on your pink in the white area.
9. Sponge over some of the pink with your purple.
10. Add white dots and stars using your white polish.
11. Layer on your holo top coat.
12. Carefully peel off star stickers with tweezers, you may need to fix up the stars using your brush and some acetone.
13. Clean up your edges.
14. Add top coat.

Whew! I hope you found the tutorial at least a little bit helpful! ;)

What do you think? Will you try out some negative space nails?
Thanks so much loves :)

Space Pants

Hello earthlings ;)

Yes I'm quite aware the 'Space Pants' is a strange title for a post, especially when it has nothing to do with actual pants.... But hey! it made ya curious didn't it?? LOL! At least it has a little bit to do with space, that is, if you count galaxy nails! I've only done galaxy nails twice on this blog and I really love them. Eventually I want to start experimenting with the colors but I'm not quite brave enough... yet!

So want to check out some space nails?!

I started with a base of ELF Sea Escape and then used Maybelline Color Club Navy Narcissist, Color Club Eternal Beauty, Lime Crime Parfait Day, and Azature White to create the galaxy-thing part. I dotted on some stars with white acrylic paint after that. When that was dry I added a layer of China Glaze Fairy Dust because let's face it, you can never have enough stars / sparkles!! :) Finally I top coated with some Poshe and the design was finished.

Love them! People tell me I'm like outer space... well spacey at least... close enough right? ;) I'm feeling more confident in my galaxy nails so maybe the next time they make an appearance on this blog they'll be fun colors!

What's your favorite color combination for galaxy nails?
Thanks lovelies!

Drip, drip, drip...

Hello cupcakes!

I've got some nail art today that I've been wanting to try for a very long time. I had some free time the other day and thought I'd give them a try and boy am I sure glad I did! ;)

So.... galaxy drip nails anyone?

I used a lot of colors here but I'm going to try to remember what I used. I started with a base of ELF Sea Escape. Then I used a torn up makeup sponge and sponged on Maybelline Color Show Navy Narcissist, Color Club Eternal Beauty, Lime Crime Parfait Day, and Azature White to create the galaxy look. Then I put on some dots and a few stars with white acrylic paint. After that was dry I painted a layer of China Glaze Fairy Dust. And FINALLY I created the drips using Azature White. *deep breath* LOL!

*Ahem* I think these nails are out of this world if I do say so myself ;) Besides taking forever to create I loved having these on I think I actually kept them on for like four days! I wonder if there is an easier way to do this design though.. I feel like doing the galaxy nails on all my nails was kind of a waste of time because I covered so much of it up. Hmmmmm... must do some research!! :)

Thanks so much loves!

You're outta this world!

Happy Sunday everyone!

I decided to revisit some galaxy nails! I've only ever done one and I knew I wanted to try them again. I actually wanted to do some galaxy drip nails really bad but time was not on my side -_- I will do them soon for sure though!

I tried to go off of memory on galaxy nails. I know they're pretty easy because you just sponge on some colors but I'm too picky! Lol! But I really enjoyed recreating these nails so make sure you check them out :)

Colors used:
- Sally Hansen Heart of Stone
- Sally Hansen Hard to Get
- ELF Sean Escape
- SInful Colors Let's Talk
- Wet n Wild Kaleidoscope
- Color Club Gift of Sparkle

Not too shabby right? ;) I really want to try some of the yellow-y orange ones but I'm still a bit frightened! I also have seen some really pretty turquoise ones. I know I'll be doing some more galaxy nails in the near future!

Oh and today is the Super Bowl woohoo!! Since my Patriots have been knocked out I may or may not watch the it... but I know what I am watching... THE PUPPY BOWL! Hah! It's literally puppies playing in a super bowl-esque arena, probably the cutest thing I have ever watched in my entire life. It's on at 3 on Animal Planet if any of you puppy lovers want to watch! LOL

So what do you think? Are you going to watch the Super Bowl? Who are you rooting for? :)

Thanks for reading guys!! :)

The Lazy 15: Galaxy Nails

Good morning all you lovely people!!!

Today's challenge for The Lazy 15 is galaxy nails and can I just say a few things here? One: I HAD NO IDEA WHAT I WAS DOING.... I watched umpteen different videos and for some reason I just didn't get it! Lol! Two: Many of the galaxy nails I saw in the tutorials were yellowy orangey and red and I knew I would not be able to blend all those colors so I opted for some pretty purple and pink and blue ;) and Three: I went a little "star" crazy on my middle nail LOL oh well! For my first attempt at these I'm kinda digging them you know you gotta look :)

Colors used:
- Sally Hansen Heart of Stone
- Sinful Colors Black on Black
- Sally Hansen Hard to Get
- ELF Sea Escape
- Sinful Colors Let's Talk
- Wet n Wild Kaleidoscope
- Color Club Gift of Sparkle

Galaxy nails are so cool and I never thought I would ever be able to do them. I'm so happy with the way these turned out! And I really liked using Wet n Wild's Kaleidoscope for the small stars because it's holographic and it catches the light and sparkles like crazy :)

So what do you guys think??

Thanks for reading and I can't wait to see how everyone else's galaxy nails came out!!! :)
